And it really is a crime, because she was so beautiful back then. And I am sorry if I sound bitchy, but it really is a crime. You don’t sound like a bitch. It’s crazy how everyone over the age of 35 has an artificial look. I think even Heather, who can’t be that old, has that plastic look. That place looked familiar to me too, but I don't think it was Hope's farmhouse. It's a long time ago, though, and I could have it all wrong. 7 2 Link to comment
stewedsquash January 2 Share January 2 (edited) No I don’t mean it was the farm house. It was during that storyline and was an abandoned place that Nick and Adam wound up in. Eta there was a tornado and they were trapped in a storm cellar then after wound up in that Nikki/Jordan/Claire cabin. I think they used the set as Kansas and now as the Wisconsin cabin from Cole’s childhood summer rental. Hell it could even be the Abbott cabin set covered in twenty tons of dust. It would have been cleaned out and lightened up a lot because as I vaguely recall, that set was darker and heavily decorated like the Abbott manse. Whatever, Abby inherited the mansion from Brad and I've always wondered why she's never moved back in there in recent years. Joimiaroxeu January 2 Share January 2 It's New Year's Day in GC. Okay. Wonder where Chance was, and why he wasn't at the coffeehouse with Sharon? After what she's just been through, you'd think they'd have Claire medicated. Sounded like she's sinking deep into depression. Victor finally moved the booze away from Nikki's temptation--at home anyway. There's still plenty of other places she could go have some firewater. Aw geez, Nick wants Sharon as Claire's therapist? Surely there's someone available in GC who doesn't have a long history with Claire's new family. Plus, most of Sharon's kids are related to Claire. Sharon would hardly be objective, but maybe that's what Nick prefers. Oof, that flashback of Victor screaming at Nikki for drinking did not do him any favors. But of course Nikki had to act grateful anyway. Ugh. I liked those NYE champagne flutes in the jazz lounge. And now it's the day after New Year's Day in GC. Okay. Lol, Adam finally got clued in on the Jordan and Claire saga. Wonder if Abby knows all of it yet? The Newmans stay expecting free coffeehouse therapy. I don't know about Victoria taking advice from Sharon. They're far from friends and again, Sharon's not going to be objective about Newman stuff that could affect her children. Cole talking to Claire while she was asleep was a tad creepy to me. And he acted like he knew he shouldn't have been doing it. Ehhh, Cole, don't disappoint us. 5 1 1 4 Link to comment

boes January 3 Share January 3 If downing a shot every time Victor said "Baby" to Nikki, I'd have been snookered by the time I got to the first Cialis commercial. I notice in the flashback that his pet name for Nikki was "My Sweetheart". EB's life got so much easier with the advent of cell phones so he could just read his lines off that. I don't know why Show thinks it's a good look for Nick to be such a constant prick to Adam after Adam saved his life and gave a kidney to his daughter. Not a good look, but then again, Nick hasn't looked good since he was a blonde little kid and was played by someone other than Grunty McFartson. I'm sure that when Victor had the alcohol cleared away, he moved his tequila to the bedroom he shares with Baby. He's just that thoughtful. Today was supposed to be New Years Day, right? Most people, especially suit people don't work the actual holiday. It was a bit confusing but the episode started on New Years Day and about mid-episode it rolled over to January 2nd. Everyone had changed clothes and there were cues in the dialgue to indicate they were past the holiday. We'll see how long they stay on 01/02 though. Usually one day in GC lasts a week or more in real time. Quote I wonder if the actresses' have the ability to say NO I WON'T WEAR THAT? Heh, apparently SC doesn't. VanillaBeanne January 3 Share January 3 (edited) At this point, haven’t Adam and Nick been with FOUR of the same women. I wasn’t a religious watcher of Y&R back in the day so could be wrong, but there is Sharon, Chelsea, Sage and Sally. I believe Adam was with Chelsea and Sally first but Nick had first dibs (sorry for the crudeness) on Sharon and Sage. So not sure why Sally sleeping with Nick should be an issue for purposes of the show, since I believe Adam has had no issue sleeping with Sharon, Chelsea, and Sage after Nick had sex with them. (Again, could be wrong about Sage - never watched that storyline) That said, In real life, I would consider both Nick and Adam sick garbage people for repeatedly going after the same women. Much in the same way I would move social circles if everyone around me averages 2-3 marriages per decade. Or shun and shame anyone who dated people who they are somewhat related to (by adoption, marriage or past belief of erroneous biological kinship). AFAIC, no shared DNA, no problem if both people are consenting adults. Socially icky? Maybe, and the concerned parties probably shouldn't have kids because then the offspring might have a shadow hanging over them too. Frankly, I think everyone in GC should get 23andMe tests so they know where the potential problems are wrt romantic partners for themselves and their children. Real talk from Cricket to Phyllis, even with the tinge of snark. But I think she's the last person who should've been delivering it. All Phyllis ever hears coming from Christine's face is challenge and disapproval. Here comes Summer to play referee between her mommy and her mommy's nemesis. Something, something, glass houses, Summer. Okay, Danny said to Christine that it was New Year's Day. But Victoria was wearing the dress she had on when she went to the office on January 2nd, just long enough to tell everyone she was taking time off. WTAF, JG. Is GC now in the multiverse? 😱 Yeesh, Summer, you just put your foot in your mouth big time. How are you going to ask Sharon if she's in love with Chance? What difference does it make, he's still not single. Loved the "chile, please" look Sharon gave Summer. Ruh, roh. Chance just walked into a possible shifting of the romantic winds. Seems like Sharon was giving Summer permission to go for it. Be nice if they asked Chance what he wants instead of passing him around like a tray of appetizers. 5 3 2 Link to comment

Also Sage was just a one nighter. If memory serves, Adam didn't really give a fuck about her romantically before or after that. As for the others like Chelsea/Nick, Chelsea being a con-artist/Billy's rapist no one expected much from her to start with. So moving on to Nick after Adam died, while suspect, was totally feasible for the likes of her. Expectations were high for Sally. Her chemistry with Adam breathed new life and enthusiasm into the show (as much a soap pairing could nowadays). And as mentioned above Adam actually loved her, and hadn't done anything to deserve watching her fuck his brother for over a year. Unlike Nick's philandering ass, who took Sharon for granted. Completely earning the sight of orginal recipe Shadam. I also think the way Courtney Hope portrayed Sally also had a hand in things. Sally brushed Adam off like he was lint off her coat and acted as if she wasn't doing anything remotely shitty/hurtful by hooking up with Nick 5 seconds after they broke up. To the point that Courtney Hope felt the need to say that Sally still felt conflicted over both brothers, which most viewers accurately called bullshit on. She had not done a good job of portraying that "confliction" which is why this Adam/Sally reunion isn't hitting hard. Don't get me wrong I'm glad she not with Nick anymore, but the rest is just too little, and far too late. 2 5 3 2 Link to comment

Reading your great posts makes me think a live feed from my house might have been better viewing! IMO, all this should justify YEARS of inpatient treatment. 1 9 4 1 Link to comment
