  1. Sorry if this is off topic, but the way bras work isn't 'DD is huge and everything below that is normal'. In fact, cup sizes aren't static, so a 28DD has the same amount of volume as 30D, 32C, 34B 36A etc. Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine. But I do agree that they seem to have no sense of size when drawing any woman's breasts in comics. It's actually quite ridiculous, and if any of these women were real they'd be suffering chronic back pain.
  2. Ahhh, the promo has made me want to watch the episode, but only for Cupid though. I'm glad Felicity's getting some, that it had to be 50 shades is disappointing, but hey ho. I've stopped considering Arrow as a serious show now, it's actually quite a ridiculous show if you think about it. Anyways, that means I'll be completely fine and laughing my head off if that is Oliver's reaction to Felicity/Ray. Oliver is quite the drama queen.
  3. Her hair looks strange, at first I thought it was like a bouffant or a french twist, but it looks like there's a small ponytail coming out
  4. That's actually a really interesting point. The show isn't great about well written villains. Even Slade's arc, which had a year to occur, was absolutely flimsy and undeveloped. Manu Bennet noticed it, but not a lot of other people did. I think, with this episode, because of the tone of the episode, it was more obvious that Cooper wasn't a good villain. Usually, there's a sort of overtone that makes the villain seem more menacing than they actually are, like with Vertigo, they cast an older creepier looking guy, who spent most of the time in the dark. It was the same with The Clock King, and The Dollmaker. However, in this episode, we had Cooper, a young and not very scary looking guy, who spent most of his screen time in the light, so by the time it got to his big scene, people has already decided that he wasn't scary, so they couldn't overlook the bad story line. I think that that was a consequence of having an episode around Felicity though, she's a more upbeat character so it only makes sense that an episode about her would be more upbeat in tone. They may have been able to escape the problem if they hadn't used flashbacks so much, but that would have required them to actually put a bit more thought into the pacing and the reveal.
  5. AHH!!!! I absolutely loved that episode, it went beyond all of my wildest imaginations. I loved Donna's first scene, it started off like a sitcom, and what I would do for one starring Felicity and Mama Smoak. 'The Smoaks' maybe? I loved how they were able to make Donna such a layered character, and her relationship with Felicity so interesting, in such a short amount of time. I loved the Diggle scenes, every single one of them, from when he was carrying baby Sarah down the street to when he was in his mask with his guns. One correction, if we are going to give Diggle a mask (and we really should), it should be an eye mask, like Oliver and Roys, purely because I;m a massive sucker for DR's dimples. Admittedly, I did skip some parts, but the rest of the episode flowed really well, and felt super comfortable. I hope that tone carries on through the rest of season 3. I think EBR did a really good job, especially during the prison scene. It was probably the best she's done so far.
  6. With this and the screenshots from the episode, I'm just going to lower my expectations slightly. On the plus side, Mama Smoak seems really awesome. We've only got a couple of seconds, and from that, I'm already excited to meet her. She seems like a completely different character to anyone we've had on Arrow, maybe like a hyper Felicity. Hopefully she'll add a bit more fun to what has been a pretty gloomy season so far.
  7. I think it depends, at the moment, the only connection Ray has to the show is through Felicity, so a scene with Ray in it will, more than likely, include Felicity. Which means that it is about Felicity more than Ray (as long as they don't include other extra stuff.) I don't think it's too much a stretch to expect a scene where Ray and Felicity's mom meet (and I don't want any more Ray than that). I think that it's expected that the cyber attack will affect Felicity's job as well as her night-time activities. And goth Felicity looks so awesome! I don't know what I was expecting but frigging hell! Super glad she's so different, but she seems to have kept her love of obvious lipstick. I'm just getting more and more excited! (however, it does seem that the show needs a bigger wig budget)
  8. She's gorgeous, and I'm super excited, and this might mean she has some scenes with 50 shades, which will be super interesting. However, that dress cannot be good for her boobs. It's almost as bad as Claire's wedding outfit from Outlander.
  9. EBR interview with Digital Spy Episode 1 is airing in the UK tonight, so it's mainly about that and doesn't mention anything that has happened up to now. Her comments on CL are nice though.
  10. I was just waiting for Sarah to go, from the first episode she was incredibly useless and didn't have any idea what she was doing at all. Ella Jade annoyed me in this episode, I didn't really care for her much before, but she was just so wishy washy, I was glad she was fired. I think we should have got a bit more time with Steven. Not because he's good, but because he was entertaining. And I don't think they should have blamed the failure of the task on his pitch, buzzfeed were never going to advertise such a shit product anyway.
  11. Oh no, it definitely wasn't due to Felicity fans that it went down, I was just noting that some people had declared that they wouldn't be watching that episode because of that. I don't really get how rating work in the US. I'm pretty sure in the UK it's just the number of viewers and there's no such thing as Neilson, which I suppose makes things a hell of a lot easier to understand in my eyes.
  12. I know a lot of Felicity/Olicity fans skipped the episode, but I doubt that's the only reason people skipped. I know some people are skipping next week because they're not Felicity fans, but I doubt that's going to do much or affect anything.
  13. No. I don't think she has been in the A-Plot at all, besides episode 2. I've been able to comfortably skip all of her scenes, and still completely understand everything thing that has happened on the show. I'm just relying on these boards to fill me in if something important happens, and nothing important has. Don't get me wrong, I'm super glad about that, but I think it shows a pretty fundamental error on the writers part. Presumably, they've increased her screen time because they've decided that she should play a more pivitol role, but she's not. She's just there, and there is no way that they're going to change the minds of her detractors (which I'm assuming is what they're aiming for) if they're giving them the option of skipping her scenes. It just makes her seem more useless, and people more bitter that she's taking up screen time. If it takes me half and hour to watch a fourty minute show, they're not doing a good job.
  14. Is that only airing in America now? It aired in the UK last year during the run up to Christmas. I really enjoyed it then, and it made me want to read the book. Unfortunately, the books been at 30% on my kindle for about a year now. It's not very good.
  15. I think, on paper his actions are sort of okay. Like, people buy companies just to get employees all of the time, especially within the computing/mathematics sector. Put in context however, Felicity was working a 'Best Buy' (or what ever it was called), not a job that he should have had difficulty already taking her from. What I mean by that is, it wasn't like Felicity was working at a large corporation that was paying her more and that was somewhere she truly enjoyed and felt as though it was a true fit to her capabilities. As he wasn't able to take her from that job, he should have realised that there were other factors into play, ones that he had no control over, and therefore he should have respected her decision. Another context factor is that he lied to her (by omission). He knew that she had been working for Oliver and was his friend, yet he sought her out to help him hack into QC, despite the fact that he knew that she was actively campaigning against him. He should have realised the fault of those actions and understood that he had started their relationship by a lie, so it would make total sense that she didn't trust him (and by extension his company). Another context factor is that she said to him, to his face, that she didn't ever want to work with/for him. She had valid reasons for doing so, He did not seem to understand her wishes, let alone respect them, which is no basis to form a relationship (personal or professional) on. Also, the whole 'I've known you for like a week but I know what you're thinking' is just really entitled and gross. And just an additional point - His (and tbf Oliver's) speech was probably the most wishy washy speech ever. If you want to buy a company, you have to talk specifically about what you're going to do for the company. You can't just say that you're going to be good for the company.
  16. It's not like Sara attempted to teach Felicity to fight, in that very same episode. It's not like Felicity jumped in front of a bullet for Sara. It's not like Sara called her cute, or like they spent months together. As soon as a women seems jealous, all other actions are totally invalid. Edited: Accurate gifset here
  17. So it was pointed out today that the first (and only) person that Felicity has told she loves is John Diggle, in this scene. I think that it really shows that they've got such a deep, trusting friendship, and I'd really love to see more scenes with just the two of them. I think within the threesome everyone has a bond with everyone else, be that Oliver/Felicity, Oliver/Diggle or Felicity/Diggle, and whilst they're all lovely to watch, I think that Felicity/Diggle is underutalised.
  18. @Starfish35 The Olicity Queen youtube channel uploads all of the Felicity scenes after each episode airs, if that helps :D
  19. The more I look at this, the more I want to laugh
  20. Objectively, I can understand why Laurel played such a big part in this episode. Sara's just died and she's her sister, so she'll have to. But that still doesn't mean that I don't cringe every time KC comes on scene. The only thing that's getting me through the next couple of episodes is the fact I don't think that Laurel serves a purpose, besides in season one where she was just there to add drama and angst for Oliver. She has no skills besides apparently blackmailing people and using her dad as an excuse to get away with things. We've never been shown that she's a good lawyer. She's spent a lot of time being a plot device rather than an actual character, and I don't believe that we're going to get away from that (no matter how hard TIIC try) @Ceylon5 The entire scene was contrived.
  21. I actually had an idea about a spin off from Arrow about this a while ago. It would have been called 'Couples Therapy', and starred Sara and Nyssa going to see a therapist, in an attempt to help Nyssa understand that kidnapping and attempting to murder your girlfriends mum wasn't the appropriate response to her leaving. They would have had to try and explain what had happened to them that week, without divulging that they'd been on international LOA missions (because they didn't want to go to an official LOA therapist because Ra's would have been on their back). It would have been hilarious. Suffice to say, I'm quite annoyed that there isn't even a chance of this happening now.
  22. Oh yeah, I totally noticed the light flare too. I don't think it was a call back, I do just think that it was a technique that the directors/editors like a lot. It did annoy me though, but anything that seems like its comparing F/O to L/O does.
  23. I think it's quite confusing as well. Sometimes a post starts in the spoilers thread, but then it stops using spoilers so it has to move to the non spoilers thread, but then it has to move back. Sometimes a post is in the behind the mask thread, but it should be in the news and media thread. I think with the organic nature of communication, topics on here usually quickly transform into different topics, and back, which makes it really difficult to figure our what goes where and whether it needs to be moved.
  24. Maybe people die after telling Laurel that she's 'always trying to save the world' because some magical force smites them for being such massive fucking liars. Laurel Lance, always trying to save the world, unless she's too busy letting the darkness inside and blackmailing people.
  25. @foreverevolving Edited, I apologise :P
