  1. Yeah, I think that it's more about Diggle feeling useless than Oliver being annoyed or jealous, which I really think is a great angle to play it from. There's apparently a scene where Diggle is all 'I've been here since the beginning, what can I do', when he's not been delegated a job, and that's really a scene that I'm excited for. I think it'll be really interesting to see Diggle feeling left out, so to speak, because he's played such a vital role before, and I don't think that he's the type to have ever been left out. And to sort of continue, earlier Colton Haynes was talking about tension in the arrowcave between Roy and Diggle and Felicity. At the time, that was a bit weird for me, because I always thought that Diggle and Felicity quite liked Roy, but now it definitely makes sense.
  2. That scene looked so powerful! I'm super excited about how Oliver and Diggle's relationship is going to advance this season, and I truly hope that they get some great storylines together. Just like Oliver, I think that Diggle is also going to go through a 'Where do I fit?' arc (and that's pretty much been confirmed at Comic Con), so I can't wait for the natural conflict that will arise from that.
  3. I think that, considering the limited new footage, they really had no choice but to show Olicity (as a fan, that was great for me). I really don't think that the trailer is indicative of the season, especially as it only has footage from one (maybe two) episodes. From the previous spoilers, we know that the date would play a large part in the episode, but that doesn't mean that Felicity and Oliver are going to go on dates every episode. From the trailer, there's a lot more to fit in to the show, Hong Kong, Arsenal, Diggle, The Count and (whilst it wasn't in the trailer) Merlyn and Thea. I'm actually really excited for her to get hurt, which is weird because she is without a doubt my favourite character. Both Diggle and Oliver have had Felicity tend to their wounds, I think it's about time that Felicity gets the treatment back. (Also, notice her lipstick when she's on the bench, not a smudge. Felicity Smoak is the Queen of bright lipstick.)
  4. To be honest with you, I really don't think that there's any point wishing or hoping for a Birds of Prey/Black Canary spinoff. I'm of the mind that there isn't really room for a Black Canary on Arrow, as from what I've read, she's such a big individual character, and a lot of her story line isn't actually connected to Oliver. She's a character that really deserves her own show, that is able to explore her character more thoroughly, in a way that isn't tied to Oliver Queen/The Arrow. If Sara were to get her own show or be in a BOP spinoff, they'd have been able to explore more of her post Lian Yu, pre Starling City days, which would have been super interesting. I'd love to see how her relationship with the LOA and Nyssa developed, how she survived for the second time, her training. There is such a depth to Sara's character, but there isn't enough time to explore it on Arrow. And to be honest, I don't want to see it on Arrow. I started watching Arrow because of a gifset that contained Felicity. All I knew was that it was Oliver Queen's story, and because that's what I signed up for, that's what I want. I didn't sign up for Black Canary, so I don't want Black Canary. I think that I wouldn't have minded a Black Canary that was more of a background hero, but Sara's character has the depth and makings of a protagonist, and you can't have two protagonists on the same show. That's why I believe that Oliver should stay on Arrow, and Sara should get her own show (whether or not she stays as Black Canary). However, as DC are the same people who refuse to make a Wonder Woman movie, despite her being the most iconic female superhero in existence (and certainly a more iconic superhero than Green Arrow and The Flash), I really doubt that they'd be willing to make a tv show about a female superhero who isn't as famous (despite Sara being really well received so far.
  5. You may have seen these by now, but someone uploaded (most of) the Arrow Comic Con Panel on youtube. Part 1- Part 2- Part 3- Part 4- Part 5-
  6. Just to add, here is a sort of analysis on the Moonlighting Curse and the way that it would 'affect' Oliver/Felicity.
  7. Haha, if the... euphemism is anything indicative of Ray Palmer's character, then I have just got a hell of a lot more excited to see him. He and Felicity are going to get on like a house on fire.
  8. This isn't mainly arrow, but here's a promo for The Flash, with what I do believe is a little clue about a Mr Ray Palmer (apparently of Palmer Industries: Where bigger is not always better) http://www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/the-flash-shatters-the-sound-barrier-in-comic-con-exclusive
  9. TBH they messed up Slades character so much over season 2, they came up with such a ridiculous reason for him to become evil, and they didn't give him a reason to stay evil, that I really don't want him back. Which is really frustrating as Manu Bennett did such a wonderful job, and I absolutely adored season 1 Slade. They messed up so badly that even Manu was talking about how little sense it made (and also how kind of sexist Slade's arc was) at Dallas comic con. E.T.A: Here's another one of him answering 'What's your personal opinion of Slade Wilson's motivation for why he and Oliver Queen are enemies?'
  10. I think that they could be cordial to one another, but I don't think that they could ever be friends. They seem to have very little in common, very opposite and incompatible personalities, and in every interaction up until now, they haven't been friendly towards each other. Admittedly, I think that part of my bias towards them not having a friendship may also be partly due to the fact that Felicity's only seen friends being women who have slept with Oliver really grosses me out, and I really believe that Felicity deserves her own friends, who have nothing to do with Oliver.
  11. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are sweeps?
  12. http://www.craveonline.co.uk/tv/interviews/726869-tca-interview-grant-gustin-on-the-flash I don't know if this is meant to be on the flash forum, but Grant Gustin confirmed in this interview that Felicity would be in episode four of The Flash
  13. Roy Harper Played by Colton Haynes. Thea's now-ex is a former street rat with a heart of gold [and abs of steel] who started out as the hooded vigilante's original fanboy in Season 1. Once Brother Blood injected the kid with the super-soldier serum Mirakuru, Roy's rage and out-of-control powers led Oliver to take him under his wing eventually training him- and tricking him out with his own mask. Felicity and Diggle are still not sold on the unstable teen. "The others are waiting for him to crack so they can get rid of him," says Haynes.
  14. Sorry if you can't see that properly, it says: Laurel Lance played by Katie Cassidy. Laurel finally learned of ex-beau Oliver's extracurricular activities ;ate in season 2 - news that she took much better than the revelation that he had been sleeping with her sister Sara (Caity Lotz) when the Queen's Gambit sunk. Now she's a recovering addict whose gig in the DA's office is sure to benefit them both. "He's [catching] criminals and she is sending them to prison," says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. "There is more of a 'Hey, we're doing this together.'"
  15. I'm hoping that they are very separate arcs that have nothing to do with each other so that Felicity isn't tainted by she-who-must-not-be-named. It's so annoying, Felicity doesn't really have anything to herself, and the only people who we've seen her become friends or interact with (Sara, Diggle, Barry, Roy) all have connections to Oliver, and now if they add Laurel to the group, the only female friends she'll be shown to have will be Oliver's exes. And there is something really gross about that. How hard is it to give Felicity (arguably the shows money maker) her own storyline?
  16. For me, personally, we've been shown Thea having the motivation, and moving with her father to learn to be 'tougher'. She has the motivation to become stronger, and she's admitted it. And there's also the fact that by moving with her father, Thea will likely spend most of her time training (as sge doesn't have a job nor will she have other people with her.) Laurel has absolutely no motivation, and it doesn't make any sense for her too with Sarah there. She likely will have little time to train, as she has a full time job and a father to care for. In both cases, I don't think that it would be realistic for either of the women to have skills that are near Oliver or Sarah's level (and even Diggs) as five months training will have nothing on five years.
  17. I could never bring myself to go near any guy that my sister or any of my cousins had been with, and I honestly don't know any girls who would. I think that the writers must have some strange idea of sisterhood if they thought that it would be okay and that everyone would be rooting for a relationship like that. I think someone once asked an Olicity shipper on tumblr what would make them stop shipping Olicity, and the response was if Oliver slept with a member of Felicity's family.
  18. I think Felicity does sort of have a 'costume'. The blonde hair, the glasses, the short(ish) dresses and the heels all make up an 'iconic' look for her, which I think is almost as iconic as Oliver's hood. I'm certain that if anyone were to show me some outfits of hers, I'd easily be able to point out why the clothes belong to her and how they fit with previous outfits of hers. I really don't need Felicity running around in leather trousers, shooting people. Admittedly, some self defense training would make sense, but she should stick to what she's best at, which is her computers. I think Felicity is a Hero in her own right, as much as Diggle and Oliver are. She helps to save the city in her own way, and without her intelligence and without her ability to gain information, the team would not be able to do as much as they do as successfully as they do. She's a vital member of the team, which is shown by the fact that she's there through the criticism of the show (I'm pretty sure people criticised the pilot because there was no way that Oliver would be so technologically advanced after having spent five years on an 'Island') Like all hero's, Felicity has her strengths and weaknesses. Fixing her 'weaknesses' by turning her into Black Canary 3.0 isn't the answer, rather the show should focus on her strengths by showing us how amazing and useful she is with her computers, and not diminish that by considering her to be a weak woman just because she doesn't run around in fishnets.
  19. Looks way more like CL than KC to me, and by all gods I hope it is CL. Though, I was also hoping that they wouldn't bring in Black Canary for a few more episodes...
  20. You just highlight the word you want to embed the link onto, and click on the chain looking icon (it's the fifth from the right) and paste in the url.
  21. There's a really good fic which is basically Arrow, but Oliver and Felicity were married before the Island. It's called Sins and is written by SmoakandArrow
  22. I'm going to be honest with you, the main reason I started watching Arrow was because I saw a gifset of Felicity on tumblr (of course that gifset may have included Oliver in a suit and I may have decided that I liked seeing him in a suit). Like, I'm glad that I have tumblr because it got me interested in some really cool tv shows and books, Orphan Black and OITNB included, but some of the fans are a bit too much for me. From what I've seen, people will make blogs just so that they can scroll through tags to find things that they disagree with so that they can insult the original poster. Within the arrow fandom, I've mainly seen that coming from Laurel fans (but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). That said, tumblr is a great resource of some really amazing fanwork, not just written but also some of the fan art and gifsets are great. A lot of people also write some meta about the show that's really interesting (I think that there is a conversation about one piece over on the relationships forum).
  23. That's the thing with Laurel, she has very few defining traits of hers. She's a lawyer (a position that she blackmailed herself back into). She's a caring older sister (until her sister came back and she didn't really care). She's an alcoholic (except she never suffers the real consequences of one). She's loved Tommy (when Oliver wasn't around). She's a good-doer (except for the blackmail.) She's a good person (remember when she let the darkness in). The thing is, considering Laurel was meant to be a regular important member of the cast, the writers should have been able to set up and figure out her character straight away. But they didn't, so Laurel felt more like a plot point than a fleshed out character. And this carried on (and got worse I'd say) in season two. When you have to spend three seasons establishing your main character, your leading lady, you've not done a good job and there is really no way that you can fix that. The writers have given people two seasons worth of reasons not to like or be interested in Laurel, and that means that even if Laurel suddenly becomes the most consistent well acted character on the show, even if there are suddenly reasons to feel for her, or to like her, you will still have people fast forwarding her scenes and refusing to see anything good in her because they couldn't stand her in the first place. There is very little coming back from that.
