  1. That's not the instance that people are referring to. Everyone is referring to the instance when the "little one" was sitting on his lap being read to and he stuck his hand in her panties, as in, UNDER THE CLOTHES, when one of the older girls ran to get help. Lawrence O'Donnell was not having any of it, and the therapist he had on outright said (paraphrased) "Classical denial of an incestuous family, minimization, not allowing the survivors to feel." I watched a clip or two - so while they were pointing fingers at people with an agenda, they outed "the little one" publicly for anyone that didn't read the first police report. Was it made clear that Jill and Jessa were survivors or are they just spokesisters for Josh? Absolutely pathetic and deeply disturbing. Dang I forgot, isn't about the age of 6 or 7 a "young boy"?
  2. There is no comparing - there is no one way that is more "heroic" than another for acquiring PTSD, the important thing is that it gets treated, and the quicker it's treated the less likely it is to go chronic. I'm glad that they came up with something that will help you that's okay with breastfeeding. ♥
  3. Seriously, how did they not think to have the county record destroyed as well? I couldn't figure out what all these references to a "new police report" were about. This pretty much sinks Kelly's intended premise. Wonder if she'll continue down that road?
  4. If they were so worried about the police report (ahem, smart enough to ask to have it destroyed before the Arkansas FOIA requests were filed) why didn't they take care of this years ago? It's pretty clear to me that they were tipped off by something, perhaps even a call from InTouch asking about - so then "the minor" filed a request for destruction of the police record.
  5. The standardized tests us old dinosaurs took through the 60s and 70s (Iowa and California were the gold standards) were to track us into groups for reading, writing and arithmetic. We had a high school that generally had the highest scores in it's district repeatedly year over year skip school for the 11th grade state math assessment, this frustrated the state so then they just made that test and an attained score necessary for graduation. Take that! John didn't ever cover the NWEA "MAP" testing which is used by many states and districts as pre-tests to NCLB testing so they can figure out who isn't up to snuff and start giving those kids special attention to the detriment of the rest of the class. My kids capped out NWEA testing at really early grades making their results essentially meaningless - but one year when one of my kids was hospitalized during the administration of our state NCLB testing, they sure as hell made sure said child got a make up - since that child brought up the numbers. Obama absolutely sucks on this issue. I can't express the amount of hate I have for Arne Duncan.
  6. Abby actually had the right of it, most of these fake invitational competitions are a joke. It's cute how she only expresses it when her precious snowflakes don't win. High-five to producer manipulation!
  7. So, I think we need to worry less about logical fallacies in this interview than false equivalencies given what Ms. Kelly has telegraphed. I sort of like the idea of a gofundme effort to drop quarters (or dollars) into as opposed to a drinking game so long as the proceeds go to a charity for survivors of child sexual abuse. I won't be partaking though, I refuse to watch FNC, I'm relying on y'all for reviews and plan on checking out non-FNC related YouTube channels for clips, I refuse to give this dreck any ratings.
  8. Auditory Figure-Ground Discrimination, the inability to distinguish important sound in a noisy situation, one of my children with a list of labels including sensory integration disorder was at 25% for this. Could "hear" the fluorescent lights at school - would come home daily and fall apart after compensating all day long. I can't imagine being an infant adjusting to this, so glad that Maisie is coping somewhat! You'll get the hearing aid adjustments down and her brain will continue to make sense of things. As to all the rest, I had to back off these parts for a day, but thank goodness I don't dream of Duggars!
  9. About Hillary's poll numbers... Fuck you Joe, you lying liar. Mika just said in the past year, not two months (her upside down approval ratings). It's so blatant it's nausea inducing. How stupid does Joe think his audience is? I thought he prided himself about having an intelligent audience. Don't fucking insult me.
  10. Oh the brain bleach moments of Barbara talking about the wonders of Astro-Glide. Shudder.
  11. Sigh. God Bless y'all for taking it for the team. RO would have rocked both the Duggar and the Patriot Act topics, which is why Whoopi had to drive her off the show. The what could have been, is still painful.
  12. If this is too off topic, feel free to move or delete. I see that we have established that the FRC is indeed an offshoot of James Dobson's Focus on the Family. A really good book that covers the regression of our politics in the U.S. towards authoritarianism and a theocracy is Max Blumenthal's Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party, it's written from a liberal perspective but it covers the history from Eisenhower's speech that nobody remembers through publication very well. It sure as heck opened my eyes about a lot! Hasn't the statute of limitation run for JimBob and Michelle as it has for Josh? It would be great for the survivors if it hasn't, that would open their eyes and give them a means to seek therapy and real recovery if true.
  13. As part of my lovely recent annual physical, I was told that it was "time" that I was going to be screened for Hep C, I was also told it is recommended that all of us of a certain age be screened. Ask at your next annual! I don't think you can put a photo in a post from your computer directly like you can upload a photo as an avatar - but if you upload it somewhere, like Flickr or Photobucket you can link to it. Yay wanderwoman! I'm so happy that you are both going and that you will be screened, you've been to hell and back and everyone is worthy of help, we have to get better about destigmatizing mental illness as a society. To that end, not only am I blessed with chronic PTSD, I also have bipolar II, of the pediatric onset sort - chicken and egg maybe with being repeatedly molested when you think about the "kindling" concept attributed to bipolar, it's prevalent in my maternal family tree. There, I said it out loud. :) I was diagnosed when my youngest was about three, I am pretty amazed that with all I had on board I didn't suffer from any PPD. ...yes, I just came home from my biweelkly therapy session. ;)
  14. I think that Joe and Morning Joe has always been a "we love Joe Biden" zone. Scarborough has rarely mocked Biden for his stumbles, because he really can't, he's much like Biden in a lot of ways - just the other side of the political coin. I'm just heartsick about the news. my love for the Biden family knows no bounds.
  15. Giggles at the idea that Ollie's brummie accent is proper, sorry. I do hope that he brings the up the Duggars though!
  16. I think fame for young dancers can be fleeting. We'll see if that true for Maddie, it's really hard to know at this point. Does anybody remember who Alicia Clifton is? She had a role a lot like Maddie's at Capezio about a decade ago.
  17. My question would be all about the Robo-Call. Michelle, can you please explain how you felt justified calling transwomen previously convicted child predators when you had a child predator in your home?
  18. $450 is utter nonsense, she's choosing to pay that much even if she wears 44 HH or something. For pretty lingerie type bras in those large sizes they can run up to around $75-100 on a regular basis, though. That's what I was wondering Former Nun, frequency for the fancy stuff. Do not blame you Medicine Crow, that's a freakish amount to spend on a damn bra, unless you are a millionaire, but even then it's so impractical. We don't all need to be wearing Agent Provocateur.
  19. Well, that illustrates what complete intellectual lightweights Bitsy and Kilmeade are, sure, Ventura was a Seal, but he's also conspiracy loon and was the worst governor ever.
  20. You make a good point, and this way they will have more "earballs".
  21. Y'all having me dying of curiosity, what was the upshot or advice about the frequency of bra washing? Was there a differentiation made regarding lingerie type bras vs. the every day stuff? Do tell!
  22. Bitsy was every bit as off-the-wall on The View as she is on FoxandIdiots, but she wasn't allowed to let her full freak fly, even sweatyGeddie knew that would be bad for business on ABC.
  23. It's seems to me that the terms of the interview have been established. So: 1. It's just Michelle and JimBob, in their home, on their turf 2. It's taped (so it can and will be edited, I'd be curious who has final say on the edit) 3. Most of it will be shown Wednesday 4. A feature show will be given the Friday time slot probably to allow a couple more pieces of information out, but mostly to give Megyn Friday night off (and of course, RATINGS!) All of this leads me to believe that there will be nothing but fluffy nerf balls as questions. I do not expect that Megyn will do any of her sometimes seen hardball with them. I don't watch the television version of Murdoch's massive propaganda machine so y'all need to give good recaps!
