Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I call baloney on this, sorry. They vote for candidates like Huckabee and Santorum and then if they are really offended sit out the general. But the primaries matter a lot, they are where the candidate is chosen. -

ITA with shibori about his salary, and do we know whether his housing was expensed to the organization since his home base was Arkansas? Pure speculation on my part, but it seems to me that he was hired due to his family's fame in evangelical/fundamental circles, which means all bets were off as to what was compensated, in my experience. This is FRC we are talking about, and in the land of bloated overpaid lobbyists. -
But she chooses to work for Murdoch's propaganda channel, so there is that. I'm a bit surprised that they didn't choose CBN as a venue for their interview, to be honest.

As a recovered Catholc, atheist-lite agnostic, I don't think a lot about mainline Christianity or any other religions. I probably admire Buddhism the most, but I abhor all fundamentalism. I admire people their faith it seems to give them a stoicism and grace that I feel that I'm lacking, my grandmother was the most devout Catholic person I knew, she went to Mass every weekday at 5 a.m. before she went to work, she was the most beatific I've ever experienced and the person in my life that I admire the most. My belief system about religions evolved into an understanding that religion is a reflection of culture, it very much depends on where in the world you are born and to whom you are born unless it is adopted later in life. We made the decision to teach our children about all religions giving them the opportunity to visit different churches, synagogues, temples, etc. and the choice to celebrate and adopt any religion that they chose, we did not want to indoctrinate them in any way. We ended up with one agnostic and one atheist at this point, but they both know that we'd be accepting of any choice they made. I'm well aware of all the good that Progressive Christianity does, and I find it admirable and very Christ-like. eta: because it was bugging me that I used "strict" instead of what I should have used, devout.

Please, wanderwoman, if there is any chance that it is PTSD get treatment. It's awful and hard to treat if it goes chronic, trust. ♥ I'm tearing up, watching the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame induction, Bill Withers, he has no idea how much I "leaned on him".

Healing thoughts headed Dale's way, as well as cyberhugs for you!

Using the Lord's name in vain. That was on top my 5 to use interchangeably with disobeying parents, being mean to my little sister and not doing chores. We actually had 1st communion in 2nd grade and 1st confession in 3rd. One year dispensation, ha!

Dr. Shill offers Josh and JimBob a Polygraph.

Pretty sure we won't see the Megyn Kelly that actually asked Jeb some "hard" (but obvious) questions. Fox is in protection mode of the Duggars. Speaking of possible continuation or spin-offs for the Duggars - do any of the church-cable-stations do reality? Because they'd probably be free and clear on one of those- or frighteningly they could go on to try to establish their own ministry for televangelism.

Disgusting. Well of course. /facepalm

Wow, he really went there. -
I'm a wee bit confused on the PR Crisis Management - hypothetically, isn't that an expense that Discovery may have wanted to cover for them anyways? But as stated it may not have been the fee. Or, maybe they did find one now and it was just a little too little a little too late, as far as hitting the wayback machine.

Ew, but how kind of them to provide links to tell the sponsors that have high-tailed it away from the Duggars, "Excellent Job"!

Gah, Faith, Family, Freedom. One out of three things that should matter in an election. This is where TLC failed, this family was off the rails political and it was wrong to continue offering them a platform, ethically. Things in the media are quieting down, I don't like it. Does anyone that watches CBS, GMA or Today know if they were even covered this morning? Ollie is back on Sunday night, I really hope he says something, even though he's got to be so excited about the goings on with FIFA.

Good questions. Things are simmering down, but still - Jill and her newborn and recovery and Jessa and her pregnancy as well. -
INDUCTION, not introduction. Sheesh.

Video evidence for the network backstabbers to prove why they should nevereverever book her again?

Ba, ha ha, "by the lake" and that lake of course would be "up north", don't ask. I think it's great, but you can feel your arteries fill up when you eat it, but it's comfort food to the highest degree. It's one of the very few casseroles that my kids would eat - I think it's a texture thing for them. We never went in for the really cheesy versions though. It's served often as a public school lunch staple here.

They have a plane?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Clearly, I'm not a faithful watcher. That's outrageous. I was askeered that Clown College was the one located here, we have a few doozies in the area, but phew, it's the one in Tennessee.

So sadly often is the case, that one spouse is in complete denial and often it is the father, I suppose it's because they aren't around as much to observe that things are off. It's difficult to accept that our precious little ones are not perfect. Going through the grieving process that our expectations about our children have to change so radically is not an easy thing. I don't think it's hubris, we all just want the best for our children.

Pfft! Well of course, I live in the land of Tater Tot Hot Dish!

Without intention, meaning, bored surfing when nothing else is on, generally whilst home sick or something similar. -
This is probably just what the Duggars and Discovery, Inc. has been holding their breath for - all the speculation and what might come out - will distract 'Merka much better than the criminal Blatter and FIFA. The only iteration that I'd support but probably never watch of the Duggars is one that features the kids breaking out of the cult and making their way in the real world.

Maisie is beautiful! Wanderwoman, that's good that he does that, and if they roll their eyes, stick your tongue out at them! I've been known to drive doctors nuts myself, it comes with the territory. And yes, people really don't understand what a proper hearing test involves. Audiologists are important! I just had my appendix out - not emergency, pre-cancer precautions. Yup that'll be me having colonoscopies every six months until the end of time. I'm an organ donor but can't give blood. Hope that counts!
