  1. I get that Billie Eilish is all edgy and stuff, but this looks like a cross between schoolgirl and schoolmarm.
  2. Not a fan of Mary Steenburgen's neck buckle.
  3. Interesting look for the woman with Sean Ono Lennon.
  4. I don't know who the guy in the blue suit is, but he looks fab.
  5. Oh, yeah -- Eva looks great. As does Jamie Lee Curtis.
  6. I love Rita Moreno. She is awesome, and is a national treasure. But that dress looks like it's trying to consume her head. I do not like all the ruffles climbing her neck. Eva Longoria looks good from what I can see -- no idea about the skirt part of her dress, though.
  7. Brittany Snow's dress isn't bad, but I don't think that yellow works for her. Marlee Matlin is very sparkly. It always seems to me that sequined or jeweled dresses like that would be so uncomfortable to sit on.
  8. It started at 4 pm Eastern time (our time changed last night).
  9. I'm watching E!. And Erika Alexander from American Fiction looks great from the waist up, but I really hate the black skirt with the rainbow ruffles over the longer cream skirt.
  10. I suspect we'll end up doing something like that, but I know that after my siblings and I are gone, all of those things will go to the dump. I don't have kids, and I can't imagine that my niblings will want any of it.
  11. I am not a hugger at all. Good for the contestants if they enjoy it, but I'll stand over here and give you a high five or something other than a hug.
  12. Krispy Kreme's doughnut holes are made from the same batter as the doughnuts. I suspect Dunkin's donut holes are made from the same batter as their donuts (I don't like Dunkin's donuts, so I don't know for sure). Carol clearly brought store-bought donut holes, not homemade ones. I'm with Pete -- the holes are the same batter as the doughnuts. (I know I've spelled doughnuts two different ways -- that's how the shops spell it.)
  13. Will anyone be here tonight to live chat the red carpet and/or the ceremony?
  14. Every time I see the episode title, my mind reads "wanker" instead of "winker."

    Barbie (2023)

Perhaps not if you've had actual genitalia all your whole life. But if you've only just acquired those bits, it would be amazing!
  16. I'm doing the same thing with the house I grew up in. There are some decent antiques in the house, though, so we'll donate some things, sell some things, and throw the rest out. What do you do with things like your mother's high school diploma?
  17. And it's always the people who drive silver/grey fog/rain colored cars. I'll add the assholes who tailgate in torrential rain storms.
  18. It's getting a little late in the season, but I wish her all the best -- both in the marathon and the penguin viewing!
  19. Less bad this week than last week -- 1/5.
  20. As usual, I did not get FJ. Nor did I get any TS! But I was distracted by something shiny, so there's that. I might have gotten Prussian blue, but Ken said it so fast that I can't count it. How nice. They all have lucky friendship bracelets.

    Disney Films

Yep. I'm in. But Riley's parents still only have the basic five. What happened to their anxiety and ennui? (I do love that there's one called ennui.)
  22. I loved seeing Mary on the sled -- I laughed so hard!
  23. Another FJ, another blank stare from me. I couldn't even come up with Spartans! I did get the TS of brocade, Audubon, and Oregon, though. I was impressed by how well Ike did! Congrats to Ben!
  24. I also said 1876, but it was just a WAG. Oh well. I only got two TS -- Katherina and Promising Young Woman.
  25. Catching up from Tuesday night, an archive game for me -- I did not get FJ. I said plutonium. But I did get the TS of big feet, prostrating themselves, and mourning cloak butterfly. I feel like I would have gotten clouded leopard if I'd been able to see the picture.
