I just quit reading a book because it doesn't have any stopping places -- no chapter breaks, no pauses for breath, just relentless paragraph after paragraph. With some books, that might be okay, but this one just isn't holding my attention enough to read endlessly without being able to stop (and find my place once I pick it up again).

I might believe Hawkeye and Margaret did it, but I refuse to believe that BJ slept with Carrie. Falling off the fidelity wagon can mean "just" a kiss to someone who is as relentlessly faithful as BJ.

He really started to get on my nerves tonight.

I can honestly say I've never heard of Wallenberg, and no idea for FJ, but I most assuredly would not have guessed Schindler. Or Turing, for that matter. I did get several of the many TS, though, some of which surprised me as TS. I got Civilian Conservation Corps, Dunkirk, Madagascar (it was a guess, I admit), Elmore Leonard, Silence, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (I have their forecast website bookmarked), and Hyde Park.

I cannot believe that Carbon, given the letter C, was a freaking Daily Double. Couldn't they come up with a more challenging element than Carbon? Shoot, even Mn, one of the other clues, would have been more appropriate! Awww, poor Chuck Woolery -- or is that Kit Woolery? Or Carson Woolery? I remember you, Chuck! The original host of Wheel of Fortune -- back when you had to buy tacky things instead of just winning cash. Yet another subject I'd need to brush up on if I ever considered trying out for Jeopardy -- British monarchs. I was clueless for FJ.

But only after she takes off her glasses and straightens or cuts her hair. No one can be wild with glasses on!

I saw this tonight, finally, and really enjoyed it a lot. The little girl was great, and I liked the compromise at the end -- she gets to study higher math and be a kid in girl scouts and what not. I wanted to ask Evelyn how she could be so sure Diane didn't like sports if she didn't ever give her daughter a chance to like them. And I know that Mary was only seven, but someone still should have asked her opinion -- where she wanted to be. Seems like that always happens -- the so-called grown-ups talk round and round, but the kids' voices are never heard. And three cheers for Frank for rescuing Fred!

Man, I have GOT to remember to record Jeopardy on Tuesdays! I know I'm not going to be home, and I always miss out. :(

The picture was of a diagram of a play in American football -- the end run. I'm not an expert in football, but I've never heard it called an endaround. I don't think so -- didn't you have to use just the words in the clue (and ALL the words in the clue, middle guy!)?
-
Ooops, I said Orient Express, too -- didn't even think of the Trans-Siberian Railway. I was surprised by some of the clues they missed and I got, though -- Last of the Mohicans, end run, Nebraska, Fort Ticonderoga, and especially King George and Cherokee. I was glad that they revised middle guy's score after he left out a word in that weird category with words out of order. Aw, Alex, do you think women are so terribly distracting just by existing that Joe couldn't possibly be able to study for Law School if he lived with them?

I was fortunate enough to see him in Spamalot, too! He was Brave Sir Robin, and he was awesome. I got up at the crack of dawn and stood in line for SRO tickets -- $20. I think that's all done online now.

Especially since there was the one episode that spanned an entire year, from New Year's Eve to New Year's Eve.

I always thought they had sex, and that Hawkeye must have been pretty damn good for Margaret to behave as she did afterward.

If I could like that 1000 times, I would. Totally wrong. Mind you, I couldn't come up with the correct name for the life of me, getting stuck at "that golf thing in Georgia with the green jacket". Pretty sure that would have been ruled incorrect as well. I did learn that "tel" means "hill" -- I had no idea. I love when I learn something on Jeopardy!

They used her skills? What skills? Whining and crying and whining some more? -

Hah! "While Brooke overcame... everything." -
I've heard of Brazzaville, but never would have come up with it in a million years. I said Stanleyville, too, Stanley being the only person I could think of. I got dowel, draft and Yankee Doodle Dandy. Overall a good game -- both boards were cleared! But of course I rooted for Christie because she started at the tops of the categories.

That was mighty boneheaded of her. She was a slow picker though, so I can't get too worked up about her loss. Not a big fan of Joe, either, but I guess somebody had to win. Good grief on FJ -- I don't even use the bloody things, and it was an instaget for me.

Original Flavor Season Talk: Dinner at Rodbell's
Browncoat replied to Rhondinella's topic in Roseanne [V]
Color me stupid, but just now, thanks to an episode of MASH on which he played a guest patient, I just realized that Danny Noonan from Caddyshack played Fred on Roseanne. Duh!
