  1. Until she turned around, I really liked it too. Then I was confused by the short coat tails and the long coat tails.
  2. Sarah Paulson, the 80s called and they want their shoulders back. But Viola Davis looks awesome as always.
  3. I was just thinking that same thing! I couldn't decide if it was the outfit or just because she's standing among a forest of sticks.
  4. Looks like it. What the heck is this baggy two-toned thing on Jessica Biel? ETA: Keith Urban always looks so greasy.
  5. Man, I thought that Westworld guy was Christian Slater for a minute.
  6. Millie Bobbie Brown will be appearing in Swan Lake later. I have no idea who Tessa Thompson is, but I'm not a fan of her metallic rainbow look. ETA: UGH -- sequins and feathers on Tracie Ellis Ross.
  7. I agree with @Spunkygal. Keep Buddy and youself safe!
  8. I was thinking about you today too, @Netfoot! Hope all is well!
  9. That I can buy. Still, it would be horribly scary for the rest of the gang to ride/fly on creatures they can't see. Especially for Hermione, who doesn't like flying to begin with.
  10. Indeed. But when we see Voldy kill Lily in Deathly Hallows, Harry's watching. OTOH, I suppose that is Snape's memory, and how would he know whether or not Harry saw it happen -- just that Harry was there.
  11. And speaking of Order of the Phoenix (which is on again, now), why couldn't Harry see the thestrals before this installment? He saw his mother die, after all. Was he just too young for it to register? Not only that, but if he and Luna are the only ones who can see them, how can everyone else ride them to fly to London?
  12. Facepalm when FJ was revealed. I couldn't come up with anything, but the answer seems so obvious. TS I got include stationary stationery, John Dean, Black Sea, LBJ, rust, base, and penology, which sounds like something completely different than the study of prisons! Maybe Mackintosh invented apples?

    Dunkirk (2017)

I finally got to see this, and it was intense! I only have a vague knowledge of the battle/rescue there, and I'm sure some liberties were taken, but it kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering who would make it and how. Unfortunately, like many war movies (or any movie where all the characters have essentially the same uniform), I had no idea who was who among the soldiers. Well, except Kenneth Branagh, of course. Our three main soldiers had similar builds, and dark hair, and barely spoke. I'm still not entirely sure who was on the train at the end, except I guess not the French soldier. Mark Rylance was wonderful, as usual, as was our pilot who survived. I admit I did scoff slightly at the magical pilot at the end -- amazing how he could land perfectly like that. It might have been a better choice to ditch over the sea, but I suppose we needed to see that some people were captured. I also was not aware of the timeline thing before I saw the movie, so I was confused at first, despite the title cards telling me that one story line started 1 week out, one 1 day out, and one 1 hour out. I knew they'd all come together in the end, but I had to keep reminding myself that these night time scenes were a couple of days before the small boats were launched. I might have to see it again to catch the bits I missed.
  14. I agree, and not just because I also said Scrooge McDuck. The guy on the end must not have understood the "It's in interjection" category, or he wouldn't have guessed "twitch" instead of "tic". Tic was one of the TS I got, along with wings (missed DD), cretin (possibly because I've been watching MASH reruns, and Charles often calls people cretins), Judi Dench (can't believe they all missed her!), and Istanbul. FJ was nearly an instaget for me. Took me a second to come up with Virgin, and another second to come up with Branson. I was surprised that two of them missed it.
  15. We were doing so well, Jen, with starting at the tops of categories until you came along! I wanted to root for her, too, since she's sort of local to where I live. As I have said many times, history is not my strong suit, and ancient history is even worse, so I was clueless for FJ. However, I did get Palestine, Wild At Heart, and Beasts Of the Southern Wild. Good game, though, despite Jen's starting mid-category a couple of times, and despite the guy kind of disappearing in DJ.
  16. Another good game, although I was very confused as to why they continued to leave the highest value clue in the category. Finish the category, folks! You never know when there might be a DD lurking at those high dollar clues! I only managed to come up with St. Tropez among the very few TS, and had no real clue for FJ. I said Beyonce because why not.
