  1. I don't think I made it that far.
  2. It took me a second to do the math, because math is not my strong suit (and yes, it's embarrassing to admit it took a second to subtract 10 from 2015), but once I figured out 2005, FJ was an instaget. Mary should be more embarrassed about her answer than I am about my lack of math skills. I'm a little mad David won, primarily because he kept starting with the highest dollar clue. But, since he was the only one to get both FJs correct, I guess he deserved it more. I'm astonished that no one knew Dustin Hoffman!
  3. I wonder what the penalty would have been had he tried it. He still would have completed the challenge (unlike the four-hour penalty for Meat Block), and really wouldn't have saved any time because he still would have had to go back to the start and get the dropped traps. It may have even taken longer, in the end, to unload and reload the bike. Hmmm...
  4. Obviously, it's too late now, but I wonder if Floyd could have unloaded his bike just out of view of the judge (like where they made the turn off the main road), gone back to get what he needed, then re-loaded again just before turning into the judging area.
  5. The year of publication and length were the dead giveaways to me. I probably could have gotten it even without "women" being part of the category name. ;)
  6. Oh good gravy. Is there anything Brooke can do without whining about it? I am sad that she's in the final four. Two-faced hypocrite that she is. I'm also sad about Team Fun, but mostly because that is a crap way to be eliminated. Looks like Floyd was able to recover, though, which is good. Heat stroke or heat exhaustion or whichever one he had is no joke. Tara and Joey for the win!
  7. Up until FJ, it was a good game! Not too many TS, and not as many goofy guesses as yesterday. I would be embarrassed if I'd missed FJ -- it seemed terribly obvious to me as well. I only got two of the TS -- shoes and Sleeping Beauty. But I could have sworn I heard David say "Kirk" Russell instead of Kurt, and expected a correction. I finally figured out who Nan reminds me of -- Catherine Hicks from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
  8. That one is one of my favorites, too, @camom.
  9. What a terrible, horrible game tonight! So many TS, and Michael seemed a bit shouty in the first round. You have a microphone, Michael, no need to yell at us! Plus that whole starting in the middle of the category annoyed me, as usual. So I am glad he did not win. FJ was another instaget for me, though I did second-guess it because it seemed so obvious. TS I got included Skipper (these people apparently never watched Gilligan's Island!), microbe, Da Vinci Code, Go-Go's (it made me feel sad, and old, that they all missed that one!), cataract, charlatan, camaraderie, and Gold Star.
  10. I thought FJ was super easy, although when the category was revealed before the commercial break, I said Rodin. But of course when the clue was revealed, the answer was obvious to me. Good for Nan, and good on her for that big DD wager. I don't think I've ever heard the name for a female pig (sow) pronounced like "so" in the porcine context as Susannah did. Also, Nan is from California! How did she think that county was San Diego County? Even I, an east coaster, knew better than that. I didn't know the right county name, but I knew it wasn't San Diego. TS I got were hub, I'll Follow The Sun, El Dorado, and minimalism.
  11. I am surprised the one woman missed FJ -- it was an instaget for me. In fact, I second-guessed myself, but couldn't come up with anything else that sounded reasonable. Remarkable comeback by the man (I wasn't paying attention to their names!). TS I got include Escudo, kombucha, acoustic, estivation, canvassing, and the missed DD of Mont Blanc. It could be an interesting finals in the tournament, if the next two days are as close as this game was.
  12. It being the "Dayz Inn", it probably wasn't more than two stories high. Colleen probably wouldn't be injured by a fall into the pool from that height. I just assumed Matt called everyone to come -- after all, no one made their flights and they all would have been back at their own houses. Or at their children's tiny house in the back yard.
  13. I can't believe one of them guessed Lee for a clue about the Union Army! Pancho Villa was just as boneheaded a guess for the same clue. I was so dumbfounded that I don't even remember what the correct response was. I did, however, get Walker's shortbread, Aristotle, and Lee in a later clue. FJ was pretty easy for me tonight, too.
  14. Y'know, if Mike hadn't been so freaking stubborn about turning the damn car around when they first realized they missed the turn, they'd still be in it. Liz was the only one to get the changing of the guard right the first time, wasn't she? Amazingly, Brooke was tolerable this ep!
  15. Vet school is NOT cheap, and it is also NOT a lesser alternative to medical school.
  16. Tombstone "Sometimes you just have to let art flow over you."
  17. National Lampoon's Vacation "It could be worse. It could be raining."
  18. Me, too. I thought that was a very well-known bit of trivia. I got that along with bandolier (picturing Chewbacca with his), Soyuz, Chevrolet, Newport (because Chappaquiddick is not in Rhode Island), frog, iodine and plutonium. FJ was another instaget for me.
  19. I have to add that Kurt Russell is still pretty.
  20. I was so happy when they finished the Archipelago-go category. Their pronunciation of "archipelago" was driving me up the wall. For once, I appreciated Alex's pronunciations! A photo of Bing Crosby was completely unnecessary. If you couldn't get Bing from just the clue, a photo probably wouldn't help. FJ was an instaget for me. Equus (and Seabiscuit) never entered my mind.
  21. Me too! Just a hilarious visual.
  22. I saw this last night and really enjoyed it! Maybe not quite as much as the first one, but the first one was more surprising -- I kind of knew what to expect with this one. Obviously, I don't follow the Marvel Universe. The Mary Poppins line was my favorite bit, I think -- Yondu really kind of did look like "him", floating down like that. Peter's whole eulogy made me think of The Wizard of Oz.
  23. It wasn't an insta-get for me. I got hung up on the Department of Energy -- I thought it would have been earlier than that, like in the 50s -- then couldn't figure out a president with a nickname in the 50s. When I (briefly) thought about a presidential nickname, I only went as far back as Clinton, but knew that couldn't be right for the DoE. Oh well! Middle guy seemed like he didn't really want to be there.
  24. Secret word of the day was explore.
