I’d give this episode a D and the season, so far, a C+. NOT AT ALL what I expected. Pffffft….. I’m not sure if I’m tired of the show, in general, or just feel like the writers are treading water.

My DVR didn’t record the entire episode. Did they end up with the apartment or the house that was $200 over budget? Thank you.

The key word here is “gradually”. I think it was a conscious choice to take on a few of RBs mannerisms to make the transition less jarring for the audience. RN is a professional and will make the role his own in no time. I’m not a RN fan because I’m not at all familiar with his work but I was pleased with his performance as Ashland. It can’t be easy to come into a role in this way.

I think “safe place” means anywhere off camera. It’s a code word(s).

The white brick wall reminded me of “Z Brick” from the late 70s. I, too, couldn’t wrap my mind around the outdoor seating areas in the FRONT of the house. I like Flip or Flop exactly the way it is. Tarek and Christina ARE the show. Does she consistently offer varieties of grey paint, tiles, and cabinets and roll her eyes along the way? Yes. Does he continue to make the same sarcastic remarks to his ex wife? Yes. However, I still get enjoyment from watching the show even if I find myself complaining about it.

I’m happy Chantal won. I’d bet my last dollar the end result would have been different had Elaine been there to judge. For me, this season was mediocre except for Christian. I just love that guy. All I could think of while watching Chasity put the finishing touches on her garments was…..Cher. Waaaay back when…..Cher.

Why do so many of the main characters look different…especially Conrad, Pravesh, and the bearded ER doctor? (Except Bell). It’s almost creepy. Have they lost weight? New camera angles or lenses? I realize the show advanced three years, so some hairstyles etc. changed, but that’s not it. Conrad doesn’t even look like the same person!

All very true, but from the day Kody married Robyn, jealousy took over every thinking part of Christine and it festered. We saw it season after season. She became completely insecure in her marriage and she questioned her importance in the family. That green eyed monster is what brought the end to her marriage to Kody. (I think she’s still jealous of Robyn!) It did for Meri, as well, but for Meri the jealousy happened years earlier with Kody’s marriage to Janelle.

I thought Swatch died a few years ago. Obviously, I was shocked, but happy, to see him.

This show is slowly turning into The Stella Show. Reminds me way too much of Gaby’s trajectory. Ugh. I really like Pelham. Hope he sticks around. I’m most likely in the minority, but I like the new romantic relationship between the paramedic and her boss. It will be tricky but will be interesting to see where this goes.

I thought Kody hit the lowest of the low when he wasn’t with Ysabel during her surgery BUT the way he responded to Gabe was sinful. The kid was literally crying for a hug. A hug. How could he not have given his flesh and blood a….hug? Despicable man! Allow me to add: I wish the camera person would have turned off the camera and walked away during this part of the scene. It was sooooo raw and personal. I’m probably fooling myself but, it could have possibly ended with an embrace if they weren’t being filmed.

I cannot begin to imagine how much pain Precious had to have been in by the end of taping the show. Her boobs seemed jammed together with a vice and then pushed up into her throat. Simply awful.

I think they’re ALL full of it. Every.single.one. (Except Truly and the two little kids) Why do I watch this show?

I’m tired of him talking non stop during every single challenge. Shut Up, Jeff!

My husband had open heart surgery in early summer of 2020. He, too, required a negative test result 48 hours before surgery and was asked to stay home until the day of the procedure. I was required to drop him off at the front doors of the hospital the morning of surgery and I picked him up 6 days later. It about killed me and our adult children to be away from him during his entire hospital stay. Keep in mind, it was a very different time in this pandemic nightmare with no vaccine and so much uncertainty. I’m happy Christine was allowed to be at Isabelle’s side for her surgery because she was a minor. Kody should have been with her, too, regardless of his fears. I cannot comprehend how he came to the decision not to go and how he can live with himself. There are no do overs for him! (Of course, I had constant contact with the surgical staff, ICU nurses, FaceTime, texting, and phone calls but it wasn’t the same as being with my husband.)

I was holding out hope that both Abby and nuChance would stay in Spain (Is that where they are? Who cares?) forever. I am soooo over this story. All of it. Victor is such a complete pompous ass! Ugh. I love Jess Walton.

This episode was almost painful to watch. So bad! I’m disappointed in myself for seeing it through to the end. Who writes this stuff? Ugh.

I loved the interaction between S and A….especially the hand holding. I believe there’s potential with them. Also, I didn’t appreciate the way the actor who plays Ashland placed his hand on the side of AH’s bare back (inside the dress) as they mingled during the reception. I think he should have had more respect for his costar and put his hand on the fabric instead. I’m not the least bit a prude and I totally appreciate many things about love scenes, but that bothered me.

Goodbye, Darcy and Liam. Hello again, Gary and Maggie. You HAD to know this was going to happen. Yuck.

This is the first season I didn't record the show but I felt compelled to come here today to see if things improved from last season and what I missed. Looks like I did the right thing. The show is still a mess. I cannot believe New Amsterdam wasn't cancelled.

Who needs an 18 foot island? That family certainly didn’t.
