  1. No episode thread yet? This episode has aired in the U.S. Eastern Time, has it not? Basically, not funny. Not funny at all. I fail to understand why they still find Sheldon tolerable after years of abuse he causes to them.
  2. Just when I thought that Code Black was better than Chicago Med... I did not care about soap opera drama. I wanted to watch medicine and action. Then there it was. Sex on the workplace. Really? At least on Chicago Med Dr. Rhodes banged his attending at home. And of course, the investigation against Dr. Rorish stopped before it really took effect. Did matter that she disobeyed a direct order. I guess now I need to reconsider my priority. 12 episodes in, now it is back on trial period.
  3. I guess the term "Shameless" here applies not only to the main characters, but to the whole universe of the show. Case in point, the girl that Lip has sex with. When the professor barges in, she is on the bed, completely naked. She then happily greets the professor and introduces herself. Her first priority. Instead of covering herself with something, anything...
  4. My regret is that at the end the brother just spills everything even though Holmes & Co. have no idea about his motive - and therefore does not have strong enough case to arrest him. That makes this episode like other special-man-who-consults-for-the-police show (e.g. The Mentalist and Castle). This show usually has Holmes deducts the hell out of everything.
  5. I think that while there is nothing inherently wrong with Jennifer Lopez's acting, the fact that she is Jennifer Lopez can be distracting. She is depicted as a single-mother street cop who is struggling to raise a daughter on her own and to provide for her. However, just before this show, she is in all her glorious and glamorous self criticizing and instructing contestants. Therefore viewers may find it harder to buy into the narrative of her police character.
  6. As long as Survivor is not on the air, Global has Elementary on Wednesday 8/7c. In its old spot Thursday 10/9c, Global has Shades of Blue, simsub NBC. What happens when Survivor is back, who knows...
  7. A decent - not great - episode. However, do people in TV world not know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist? Is Laura Spencer not full-time available? I am curious to see the development of their relationship.
  8. It is certainly assumed that GEN Lane and his soldiers are ready with Kryptonite bullets.
  9. If our geeks are that fanatical with Star Wars, why are they willing to watch the movie only in 2-D?
  10. If Miko is an Evo creation, should she not cease to exist while under Phoebe's suppression power? Otherwise, as Miko is a complete human being, this means that one of the powers of Evos is the power of Creation.
  11. I think you meant Northwest Territory as Northwest Territories is a present-day territory of Canada. As I mentioned elsewhere, I prefer Code Black than Chicago Med as I think Code Black has less drama and more medicine. As someone with zero training in medical field, I have no idea on the medical accuracy. Therefore, can you please give examples on where Chicago Med is less soap opera than Code Black?
  12. In the greatest mini-series on TV in my life time, MAJ Dick Winters said, "We salute the rank, not the man." So now we have our heroes who have no respect of hierarchy, of discipline, of those considered not 'their own'. What happened during Patterson command are simply acts of subordination and subject to disciplinary actions. It has been there since the beginning, but it get more and more apparent that the main characters of this show treat Firehouse 51 as their own private frat house where they themselves decide the rights and wrongs, without meaningful oversight. So with that, as we close 2015, I leave all three shows of Chicago franchise. Too bad since I am a big fan of Law & Order franchise.
  13. Two episodes in, too much drama, too little medicine. Can not help comparing it with Code Black, and so far Code Black is far superior. Let me check the third episode as a confirmation before leaving the show. And seeing how Chicago Fire fares lately, most likely leaving the Chicago franchises altogether.
  14. Is the spitting cobra not native to Africa? Did Kubilai's Mongol Empire extend to Africa?
  15. 1. Why there seems to be only three law firms in this show's universe? What happen to the law firms of the characters of Martha Plimpton, Carrie Preston, Mamie Gummer and Amanda Peet? 2. I am getting confused with the associates affair. What happen to the whole bunch of associates that rebelled from Lockhart Gardner to join Florrick Agos? Supposedly, they were absorbed back to Lockhart Agos, were they not? 3. Why is it hard for Alicia to find an investigator? Fine, Kalinda is gone, but what happen to Robyn? I think she is much more interesting in her investigative methods than Jason.
  16. With Meisner and Adalind back, shall we expect Kelly to have a younger sibling in the not-too-distant future?
  17. But the owner of that ice cream parlor lets her work without any manager? A minor working in that place, dealing with merchandise, customers and money all by herself?
  18. So this Olivia character, a supposedly trained and seasoned sleeper Russian covert agent, spilled everything after given a threat about not seeing her children? About that if she cooperates her jail time could be shorter? And not only she reveals her identity but the entirety of her operations. If Russian spies fold that easily, Philip and Elizabeth Jennings must be very ashamed of them. My nitpick, why did the enforcement bring Kate's body to the flight deck of the Intrepid? Could our heroes not just simply take the elevator to the street level to see the body?
  19. My nitpick is on Dotcom's comment about cognac. Cognac does not have 70% abv. It is usually around 40%, just like other kind of brandy. As well, while cognac is a kind of brandy and eau-de-vie is a kind of brandy, cognac does not equal eau-de-vie. They are completely different.
  20. That would have required bigger fees to be paid to Disney.
  21. I just happen to know somebody who knows somebody whose organization was involved in one of the tasks in The Amazing Race Canada. She told me that all the staff of that organization signed agreement with the production about many aspects about the organization's participation in the show, including confidentiality. That agreement is such a blanket agreement that covers everybody. If the practice is the same, we may conclude that everybody works for the FDNY Academy were not allowed to help in any way.
  22. But how? To be able to use Uber, user needs to register and to have the application on a smartphone. Furthermore, Uber charges directly to credit card, personal one in this case. So no, unless Uber becomes a sponsor and has a product placement there, it can not be used in The Amazing Race.
  23. While I know that hindsight is 20/20, Justin could have bargained with the driver. For example, he could have offered $50 tip instead. However, he just right away stopped the discussion and sent the taxi away, knowing full well where they were. One other thing about the demise of the Green Team that is not discussed much is Justin's showboating at the Adirondack chairs assembly. I fail to understand why he did that. With success measured in seconds and their trailing, would one second of his showboating and taunting not be better spent on keeping his head down and concentrate on the task on hand? One could argue that had he paid more attention to his work he might be able to see the imperfection on the orange chair; and with that they might actually have had a chance, considering that the reporters struggled a bit in the task.
  24. I am just wondering out loud how a CEO of a major corporation with plenty of resources in her hand and her formerly-billionaire boyfriend and mayoral candidate, both know exactly that they live dangerously and just confronted and escaped from very dangerous person and his very dangerous organization, do not order an armoured limousine for their mode of civilian transportation.
  25. One thing that I fail to understand is that after knowing that his taxi driver did not know / did not want to go to Belmont, why did Justin not take the cab anyway and go to a city center where he could have changed the taxi? Why let the taxi go? And yeah, nickel and diming the taxi driver while the hoping of winning big money is never good...
