  1. The conversation Liam really wants to have with Brooke right now: "OK, so, exactly what steps did you take to gain the interest of your sibling's spouse?"
  2. It was you, wasn't it, ulkis?
  3. Did BryDog do something really stupid on Twitter that led to him deleting everything he'd tweeted prior to about a week ago? I hate to have missed a good BryDog meltdown.
  4. I was yelling "you can't legally ask that in an interview!" at my TV. Well, that and figuring out if MB has had some work done or something, because her face looks a lot different than the last time I saw her (doing a guest role on a Disney Channel show).
  5. OK, do the writers even know where they're going with anything at this point? It feels like they're still trying to figure it all out. I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope that we're actually going to get Liam/Katie. Since they've effectively ruined the potential of Liam/Quinn with Amnesia Cabin, I'll happily settle for Liam/Katie. HT and RS are, by far, the women SC has had the most chemistry opposite. I am definitely not here for Thomas/Caroline. No, no, no, no, no. Steffy is at her most likable with Wyatt (not that the bar for her is set super high), but I still couldn't stop a moment of "remember when you were trying to break that marriage up so you could have Bill?" in her direction when she was getting all sappy over Bill and Katie's declarations of love to each other.
  6. This is definitely a more laid back hosting job than Family Feud and Match Game, so it's the one that best fits Michael. All he needs to do is smile, say his scripted lines, and let the contestants and celebrity partners set the tone. I kept waiting for that contestant to say "because you don't want anyone to overhear your conversation." That, along with "because you're in a library" should have been enough, especially if she delivered the clues in a whisper, as you suggested. Some of them get so caught up in their original clue that they just can't get past it when it doesn't work for them. It happened last week with "things that sting," when the contestant was just so stuck on "a ray," that they couldn't get to the obvious "bees."
  7. My two first thoughts were either "The Cock" or "The Pebble," depending on if you go with the rhyme or with naming a much smaller rock. I loved Rosie's "well mine isn't as bad as that," when the contestant went with "The Pillow." After thinking about it, I can see what he was going for with pillow - a rock is hard and a pillow is soft, so it works, but it's not the type of answer that springs immediately to mind for most people, so it didn't work in that context. I think, sometimes, the contestants are so concerned with coming up with something super clever that they leave the more obvious answers just lying there. A lot of the time, the best answer in Match Game is the low-hanging fruit. (Which is why that Baldwin brothers question last week just didn't work - there's no real obvious answer just begging to be said there. I thought "annoyance" was probably the best answer given, but that question was almost a guaranteed "no match.") I was so glad to see Rosie back, and I hope she's on every week, because she was just made for this. And I don't mind the naughty vibe. I feel like the original had what was a naughty vibe for it's day, which was part of its appeal, and that's what this show is doing now. (It's just that what passed for naughty in their day was a lot tamer, for the most part, than what passes for naughty now.) Plus, as the last of the three, it's on at the 10/9 PM slot, so it's an appropriate tone for that time slot, as this is definitely the most "adult" of the three revivals. Speaking of which, they should really swap the time slots for Family Feud and Pyramid. Pyramid seems to have the most family friendly humor, and FF falls somewhere between Pyramid and this. But I'm guessing they consider FF the strongest brand of the three, so, for ratings, they want it as the lead off.
  8. Definitely not. It's all going to just melt off and run when you start sweating.
  9. Shag Jerry Marry Jax Kill Diego PCPD Edition: Valerie Jordan Anna
  10. To be fair, at that point, you're basically comparing kidnapping to sexual harassment combined with blackmail. You're pretty much flipping a coin to decide which is worse.
  11. Oh, hell. Nina being involved in the Joss story makes me fear they might pair her with Jax, even if it's just a one night stand or something. No. No. No. No. No. No.
  12. Yeah, WDV can ask Scott Clifton how the Frank "you're fine," assurances go. Don't make any long term plans, dude.
  13. Given the established levels of competence and security at the PCPD, I'd be more surprised if Hayden did get busted bringing the syringe and drugs to Finn.
  14. It would be hilarious if his attitude about that whole thing was basically that Quinn did Steffy a favor by steering her away from the jackass Eric had watched waffle back and forth between Hope, Steffy, and Ivy.
  15. It seems like B&B is doing their level best to be done with him, so I guess it's possible. I don't know if I'm rooting for it to happen or want him to stay far, far away. I could definitely go for another try at Quiz, and end this Liz/Franco shit ASAP. But if they would only bring him back to be a loser who Sonny and Carly get to stomp on at least once a week, then I'll pass. Oh, who am I kidding? We all know it's option B.
  16. I think there's a chance Nany may be serious about being done with John now. She was mad enough when he said her name during Bloodlines, and seemed still, during the After Show that season, not happy with him. But, she could still potentially tell herself that his saying her name last season wasn't an aggressive act against her, since she was already headed in, regardless of what he said, and it was a smart game play move for him not to throw someone else's name in the mix. So I think she started this season off kind of wary of him, but she wasn't letting Wes actively campaign against him. I think her thinking was that, if Wes just kept a low profile with John, that his affection for her would be enough to keep him from trying to give them the boot. But, during this elimination, John made it clear to her that any loyalty he may have felt for her was nothing compared to his dislike of Wes, when he was actively rooting against her in the game. I think that was the point where she finally got it, and that's why she told Wes to go for it now. I'm not naive enough to think that this will be permanent, but I hope it is. I think this is definitely a bigger break for her than we've seen before with John. It would be great to see her develop enough self-respect to stop thinking of him as anything more than an acquaintance, cast mate, and mistake from her past.
  17. Personality-wise, I think he's far better than anyone we've seen her hook up with, outside of Cohutta. I'd even argue that he's better looking than Johnny R, who's kind of average but made so much uglier by his personality seeping through. I forgot to mention one thing I really liked about the two of them this episode - during the game, when they just could not figure out the answers, they weren't getting all pissed at each other. They were definitely in it together and even joking as more and more couples finished "did we pay attention to anything?" So many times when there's a male/female partnership on this show, in that situation, the guy would have been a verbally abusive ass while the girl just starts breaking down sobbing. They may not have remembered much, but they were acting like a team as they went down. And I cant believe I forgot to mention Jenna's line: "I wasn't paying attention to his shirt color, I was paying attention to the man on fire." I so hate that she's John-adjacent, because I've really grown to like her, but can't possibly root for her. (Exception, if it ends up with her and Vince in the final along with John/Sarah, I will so be rooting for them to beat John's ass. You just know that John's plan is for him to get first, Vince second, and after Vince's performance on Bloodlines, you know even though he's family, he considers him as one of his loyal supporters, there to reap the rewards of second or third place finish for the honorable job of keeping John in the game, but no real threat to actually take his rightful place as the winner.)
  18. If you think about the two guys Maya has liked for the life of this show, it's Riley's uncle and Riley's boyfriend(-ish). I can certainly see an argument for saying that Maya likes these boys because she's always wanted the kind of life Riley has. If she's with Riley's uncle, then she's even more a part of the Matthews family. If she can get Lucas, who likes Riley, to like her, then she's just as "good" as Riley. So, hopefully, the resolution of this identity crisis is that Maya realizes that and then we can end the triangle nonsense. My guess, because you know the show is going to want to string along the shippers, is that we'll have Maya telling Lucas how she realizes that she only thought she wanted to be his girlfriend because she was trying so hard to be like Riley. Lucas will, after that, tell the girls he chose Riley, but the show will leave some kind of lingering shot of either Maya or Lucas (or both) that's just ambiguous enough to leave you wondering if he really chose Riley, but not so overt as to make it mandatory that they follow up on it at any time in the near future.
  19. I so hope that Cory is just playing along with John. He has to know that John isn't going to forget him throwing him in. And I'm fully shipping Wes/Nany now. Their interview after elimination was so damn cute. And Nany renounced her friendship with John. If she takes away Nicole's makeup, and has a gentle "less is more" conversation with her, she'll become my favorite. (I swear, I still have moments of "wait, who is that?" when they show us shots of her without her full makeup. She looks like a completely different person.) I'm bummed that Jamie is gone. I would have loved watching a Jamie/KA/Wes/Nany alliance taking down John/Vince. But, as soon as we saw that Jamie/KA were drawing second, I knew they were in. I missed two episodes while on vacation (although given this season, I'm not sure how many, if any, elimination games I missed in those two), but I haven't seen the couple picking first go in yet. And it's always all three white skulls drawn 1, 2, 3. I'm still on the conspiracy theory train there - that black skull looks smaller than the others.
  20. This week feels like they have just decided to re-set stuff. We had what Thomas did to Caroline re-framed as something less gross and a seeming path to a Thomas/Caroline pairing. We need Ridge out of the way of that, so he's apparently headed directly back to Brooke, who he hasn't had an ounce of interest in since the first time he found out Brooke had slept with Bill while he was married to Katie. To clear the field for them, we have Bill instantly renouncing his affair with Brooke and seemingly all about Katie again, and Katie is instantly cured of her alcoholism by two words, "I'm home." And with Quinn, we're seemingly going to forget her obsession with Liam and she's just happily sexing up Eric now, with no build-up of that relationship and no winding down of her "love" for Liam or her relationship with Deacon. But, never fear, I'm sure the great love story of Zende and Nicole will live on and avoid the re-set.
  21. I don't have a super long history watching this show, but, from what I've gathered from the soap magazines over the years (I have this OCD habit of reading them cover to cover, even for the shows I wasn't watching at the time), it's not really out of character for Eric to allow himself to be blinded by some readily available, pretty younger woman, is it?
  22. I was so pissed when they ignored the clear chemistry between Diego and Maxie in favor of pairing her with that bland cop, Jesse.
  23. The good thing there is that you aren't stuck with the terrible partner the whole show. You know his partner was like "just one more round of questions and I'm done with him," while Sherri's partner was thinking "No! I don't want to switch!" Side note: when Sherri is the preferred partner over you, you know you've done wrong, Anthony. She is such an airhead, but, at least she was focused and trying to help her partners, instead of making it all about her. And I generally like Anthony, but this was not a good fit for him. He's right in thinking people want the humorous moments, but he's wrong in thinking that they should be the focus. If he had cut his shtick down to less than 50% of what he was doing, he would have been fine. But he was just too much "look at me! I'm the life of the party!!" and not enough trying to help his contestants win.
  24. The description for today's episode in my program guide contains the following: Jason gets knocked unconscious. I won't even pretend I didn't laugh for a solid five minutes. At this point, I'd imagine that all of the brain activity you'd find if you do an MRI of his brain is a tiny, blank-faced Steve Burton, wearing a tight black t-shirt and blinking. Everything else has been knocked right out of action up there.
  25. So much this. The bottom line is that Caroline was not able to consent that night, and, on the multiple occasions when Thomas made it clear he was interested in sex with her, when she wasn't incoherent on booze and pills, Caroline never expressed a reciprocal interest and often stated how much she loves Ridge. Taking advantage of the inebriated state of a woman who wasn't accepting your overtures while sober is rape. The show can re-frame it all they want, but I know what played out initially on our screens. That was a woman who was out of it. She may not have physically passed out before he started the deed, but she was out of it nonetheless. Add in her not remembering what happened the next morning, and the level of her inebriation incapacitating her is pretty clearly spelled out. On the incapacitated spectrum, there is a range of states between "capable of giving consent" and "passed out." Caroline was very clearly portrayed to be somewhere in that range that night.
