  1. When Dante said something about Lulu being too focused on being Luke Spencer's daughter, I yelled back at my TV "and you certainly jumped right to being Sonny's son!" So, basically, he's pissed at her because he jumped the gun and took her lie as an excuse to jump into bed with her cousin before finding out what the hell was going on. And now it turns out Lulu wasn't cheating, so he's the only one who actually cheated. I mean, I defend the Liz/Jason thing, because they each actually witnessed Lucky and Sam in the act with Maxie and Ric. Dante saw Lulu and Dillon's clothes on a bed. Their shirts weren't even holding hands, dude.
  2. I picture her looking over his shoulder saying "you tell 'em, Babe!" Then she posts an instagram shot of him tweeting with #Proud #ThatsMyMan
  3. Shockingly, Bryan's not very good at arguing/debating. "I just said they do it, I didn't say they do it!"
  4. Jeff Branson is a Y&R actor, though, so six of one... Plus, he seems to not remotely be interested in committing to a soap. He'd maybe be willing to come and go, but then we'd just end up with the same crappy writing Ron gives every other character who's portrayed by someone who comes and goes.
  5. Knowing Ron, it will be more like that conversation happened off screen and we never get a whiff of it until he has to tell someone on Twitter that Lucky told Luke and Laura off screen.
  6. I don't think Rick and Maya are solely responsible for Aly's most recent breakdown, but they certainly contributed to it. If you know a family member has a mental illness, you don't keep poking and poking at them because you're pissed off at other family members. Yes, Steffy's reappearance in town pushed Aly over the edge, but Rick and Maya had her all primed for it. Of course, I blame Eric, too. He knew at least the gist of what was going on at FC (and at home), and he knows his granddaughter is fragile. But all he did was reinforce Rick's authority at work and his right to act like a shitty lord of the manor at home.
  7. You know, that scene of Maxie talking to Dillon about Georgie could have been good...with Scott Clifton. As for Dante, it's like Ron looked around at the show and said "what's the one thing left I haven't ruined for KerleyQ?"
  8. I kind of laughed through the rather obvious "Aly is going to try to kill Steffy!!!" setup. Because, please, Aly, do us all a favor. Then we can have a FUN!!!! funeral. Waffle Pong can look constipated as he replays all those happy special moments he was with Steffy because she manipulated him away from the woman he preferred. Bill can lament that he only got to bang her with his son's dick. It'll be so touching.
  9. And today was the first sign that this has all been a giant misdirection before Ron puts Sam back with Silas. (I kid! I think... I put nothing past Ron.) Lucky and Laura!! That's all I've got.
  10. ML is the only Lucky recast I'll accept at this point. He would be perfect. And he and Dante partnered up as adorable pocket cop partners? Has to happen.
  11. Isn't he living with one of his Y&R co-stars, though? "OK, who's going to the beach this weekend? Bring a pail and get as much sand as you can. Bring it in Monday."
  12. It's kind of a perfect storm here - both JaSam and Liason have fans that can be a bit over the top, and KeMo has fans who think that every man in the world wants to be with her, regardless of whatever relationship those men may already be in. Add in that KeMo is one of those women who is generally kind of flirty/touchy, and we get people on all sides losing their shit over a few pictures at the beach.
  13. This line from that column: If there's anything Ron has shown us over and over again, it's that he most certainly cannot embrace constructive criticism. And Frank seems not remotely inclined to force him to do so.
  14. I view Topanga pretty much the same way I view Hermione in Harry Potter - yeah, BMW was originally about Cory and Shawn, but we all knew Topanga was the brains behind the operation and kicked way more ass than both of them combined. I've just never seen the BMW/GMW universe as misogynistic. Not being misogynistic doesn't mean that no female character can ever be a mess. It means, basically, they can't ALL be a mess. Topanga is the single most "together" character on this show. Cory seems to have barely grown up at times, and Shawn is shown to be somewhat adrift and still trying to deal with the same issues he's been trying to deal with since childhood. As for Shawn being the one to point out that Katy works hard to pay the bills to keep a roof over Maya's head and food on the table, I don't see it as misogynistic that he pointed it out. For one, he was the one who created that situation, by going out and splurging on those clothes, in the first place. So he was more cleaning up his own mess there than swooping in and saving Katy somehow. Also, yes, Katy could have pointed that out to Maya herself, but, as a parent (and a former teenage girl), I can tell you that Katy would have been treading a very fine line there if she had brought it up herself, risking looking petty or jealous. Not to mention that, as a parent, you don't spend a lot of time looking for your kids to act like you taking care of their basic needs is some big special favor you're doing for them. You do it because they're your kids, you love them, and it's your job to provide them with food, shelter, clothing, and an education. Yes, you expect them to respect you, but you also realize that those basic daily needs aren't all that "exciting" for a kid, and a shopping spree is. Of course it might make you feel bad when a family member or friend comes along and does something extravagant for your kid that you maybe can't afford to do right now, but you don't begrudge your kid that special treat, and you don't go demanding that your kid celebrate that you paid the rent this month like they celebrate someone else doing something special like this for them. So, yes, Katy could have pointed it out, but it's just not something a mother would do. I think this was more Shawn finding his way in this new role he's taking on, as that kind of paternal figure for Maya, and since he felt like maybe he overstepped by going overboard with the clothes, he tried to make up for that.
  15. I think the Q crypt is for hatesex pregnancies only. If I lived in a soap town, I'd want a move to all glass coffins, on display in tombs open to the public (but securely guarded to keep the Legion of Doom from making any switches). How do you ever believe anyone is dead when you live in a town where everybody comes back from the dead? Liz should have thrown that in there in her rant about the people in town during the NB: "And my son is the only person in this damn town who has died and stayed dead. These people all get their loved ones back!"
  16. Ron: "I have no recollection of that."
  17. And then he'll screw Nina on the grave of that innocent bystander.
  18. I've always had the impression that her mother doesn't even know where he is. I'm not sure why I have that impression, though.
  19. Oh the Twitter meltdown that would ensue! It would be amazing.
  20. Was it manufactured by Doofenshmirtz Evil, Inc?
  21. Good point. This woman just lost her mother, and now, if she sleeps with Dante, there are decent odds that the family she does have left is going to look at her with scorn for being the "tramp who slept with her cousin's husband." She doesn't need the kind of emotional upheaval that goes with being in this role when she's still likely recovering from losing the only family she's ever really known. As for Lulu, I think her adventure desire is absolutely tied to that whole Spencer thing, versus her actually genuinely being an adrenaline junkie. She knows that her father resents settling down like they did shortly before having Lulu (because Heaven knows he's not a good enough father to her to not make that clear to her). She probably feels like the reason she's the "lesser" child to Luke is because he sees her as the reason the family couldn't go on their adventures anymore. So if she goes on adventures now, she's somehow proving herself to him and showing him that she's not the anchor dragging the family down anymore. And then, maybe, he'll love her as much as he loves Lucky. That also ties into why she's listening to Luke's "we can't tell Dante, he's a cop!" thing. She loves Dante, but she knows Luke's scorn for the police. So she's not going to be the one who brings a cop in against her father's wishes, even if that cop is her husband. It's stupid, but it's the only reason I can think of for her being dumb enough to go along with that whole thing. I lost a few posts I was quoting, but someone suggested that Dante should have at least left Lulu a message that he'd seen the hotel room, so she knows what he's thinking before he goes off and screws her cousin. And that would have made him look a lot less icky, in my opinion. If he left the message, but Lulu didn't get it (or got it right before she was taken hostage and didn't get a chance to respond), then we'd have Dante at home thinking "well, her not even bothering to call back and dispute it tells me all I need to know." Then, at least, it's reasonable for him to think their marriage is over. Right now, as bad as the hotel room thing looked, he still has no genuine proof and hasn't given her a chance to explain. Plus, he's a cop, and what he knows right now is that Laura showed up unexpectedly, she and Luke then dropped this out of the blue "reunion" on Tracy in the middle of Luke and Tracy celebrating being together again. Now, Luke, Laura, Lulu, and Dillon are all out of town with no real communication back home, and what is being communicated back home is a lie. Yes, he can contemplate that Lulu is having an affair, but shouldn't other possibilities be on his radar? Especially knowing the Spencer family's history of adventures and all the various bad guys who have been in and out of their lives?
  22. I actually think the show has done a decent job of showing that what the kids might initially view as Katy being "flaky" or whatever is her actually working her butt off to provide a roof over her daughter's head. She isn't always around for things because she has to work. She was missing out on Maya's birthday party because she was trying to work extra shifts to buy her a locket. And Topanga (and then Shawn) pointed out that while Shawn buying the clothes for Maya is the more "fun" thing, Katy works her butt off to provide all those every day things that kids take for granted - food, shelter, electricity, etc.
  23. Seriously, though, where was this Aly when Rick and Maya were making her bring them dessert in bed and give foot rubs??
  24. It would make a lot of sense to me if that was the kind of direction this was going. We know she had a thing for him when she first hit town. She went completely apeshit over Hope sleeping with Wyatt. And now she's losing her shit over Steffy/Liam. She has Liam up on a pedestal, and it's OK for him to be with a "good girl" like Ivy or Hope (provided they treat him to her liking). But she can't deal with someone like Steffy getting her hooks into him. I'd ordinarily not be OK with it, but since Steffy, Thomas, and Taylor were all "not a real Forrester" about Brooke's side of the family, screw them. Payback's a bitch.
  25. I'd laugh if Michael finds out and keeps quiet, because he knows that Jason being alive would be the ultimate gift to Carly and Sonny.
