Isn't that why God created meat hooks? I still think it would have made more sense for Patrick to find out than Liz. He could have had a more targeted rant to self about people doing horrible shit and living happily ever after - Jason was a fucking killer, Robin "died" trying to save him, she was later forced to go to work reviving him, and that's what led to the death of his son, Sham-wow. Now Robin's gone again, and Jason is alive, right when Patrick has gotten together with Jason's widow and is attached to Jason's son? He has reason to, specifically, be angry at Jason and look at Jason as a big part of the reason he's lost so much (not that any of it was directly Jason's doing). And then he could also rationalize that Liz and Jake are happy (because I'd buy someone viewing Liz and Jake as happy together much more than I'd buy anyone saying "but look how happy Patrick and Sam are!"), and now that little Jake is back, they're raising their son together, etc. For once can't we have it be one of the men who goes a little crazy over losing the object of their affection (you know, other than someone like Faison, who is just crazy, period)? I'm sure that, before he was canned, Ron had plans to tweet that someone threw a rock through Patrick's window with a note tied around it, made of cut and paste magazine letters, saying "Patrick, there's no phone service in (whatever country we're currently supposed to believe Robin is in), so nobody should try to call me. Love, Robin" So, how could Sam possibly call her?

Well, when the other adults in her life are Carly, Sonny, and Ava...

I don't think Riley is any more self-centered than your average 13-14 year old kid. We've seen her do things for others frequently, like Farkle and Smackle. We've seen her acknowledge her own self-centered attitude and recognize the error in that attitude, both in the first episode of this season and in season 1, when she and Maya worked in the kitchen. She wanted to be part of a classroom "business" project that did something for people, once she realized the harm of the sugar bombs Farkle wanted to sell. She always wants to do things to make things better for Maya. Sure, she's "weird," but we need more weird in this world. It's not for the rest of us to decide that someone is too weird or whatever, and her brand of weird certainly isn't hurting anyone. As for her first boyfriend, we've essentially seen that with Lucas, even though they never decided to become an official couple. She was actually the one who initiated a kiss with him on the subway. And she's been grown up enough to realize that getting into romantic relationships at this age isn't worth the risk to ruining her circle of friends. Sure, she's happy and lives a pretty carefree, lucky life. She has no reason not to be as happy and positive as she is. Yeah, we've had the silliness with Pluto and the dead fish, but, for the most part, she's allowed to live, make mistakes, and learn in the world. I have a son in 7th grade who just turned 13 (today), and Riley is far more typical of the kids in his class than Maya is. They're generally still at that age where the world hasn't had a chance to give them a reason to not be happy and goofy yet.

I think they worked in some fan service to both sides of the Riley/Lucas/Maya coin. There was Maya's clearly being into how Lucas busted into Riley's room through their barricade scene. And then we had Lucas, when Riley was talking about her awards show and doing "French Riley" saying "who doesn't love that?" I think they're going to keep playing both sides before ever actually doing anything, since we've seen them all kind of settle into a "we're all friends, and that's what's most important" mindset about any romantic relationships.

That's a huge part of their training - learning to take (and deliver) moves that look like something that would really hurt, but in a way that protects them from injury as much as possible, whether it's a hit, a kick, or using a prop, like a chair, ladder, table, stairs, etc. It's also why people don't want to work with someone who hasn't trained properly (like Eva), because it works best, and injury risk is lowest, when both people know the safest way to do each maneuver. You will also sometimes hear people say that some particular wrestler is known for working "stiff" (I think that's the word), and it basically means that they're not putting in the effort to make the moves less painful (some guys do it intentionally, especially to "break in" new guys or to guys they don't like, sometimes it's just that the wrestler hasn't learned enough yet to cushion the blow). And you'll hear that some of the other wrestlers are basically refusing to work matches with them because they don't want to get injured. That's also why, when you see a "special guest" like Robbie Amell, for example, they're generally only going to do a handful of pretty basic moves, and maybe, depending on what kind of shape they're in and how much time they were available to work on the match with the wrestlers ahead of time, they might have one "big" move they do in the match. In spite of all the training, and all of the effort they put in to avoiding the worst of the pain and impact, they still walk out of there aching, bruised, and, of course, flat out injured. On a related note - is Rusev someone who works stiff? Anyone know? I'm specifically thinking of that injury to Ziggler's throat/neck from that stuff with the Rusev holding the crutch to his throat. Of course, I also saw some rumors that something actually did end up happening between Ziggler and Lana, so that may have been a little payback for that. Of course, it's also possible that that whole little quadrangle is just cursed, since every time one of them comes back from injury, a different one goes down. Summer might want to start living wrapped up in bubble wrap once Lana returns from her injury, because it's her turn next.

I love Zay. I think he fits in nicely as the kid who's friends with them, but still a relative newcomer, so he gets to voice some of the "this shit is ridiculous" reactions that viewers may be having.

B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat
KerleyQ replied to Aquarius's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
I vote baby manatee. They're adorable, and they can just keep it in the pool and toss in heads of lettuce every day. I think Ridge is just about up to that level of parental responsibility (and when he starts getting lazy, Pam will take over). -
Carly is so much her mother that the baby has inherited her mother's red hair. That's the kind of power contained in Sonny's deciding who the mother of his child is.

GH History Lessons: Because History is Always Repeating Itself

Ah, yes, that lovely era where no one left town without being in a body bag. Because who ever heard of people just moving away? That's crazy talk! -

So, it's not all bad. On an unrelated note - is the whole secret coming out in early November? Liz's part in it and all? Because when that comes out, and Cujo eventually comes at her, frothing at the mouth, I want Liz to very calmly look her in the eye and say "it wasn't my secret to tell, bitch." -
Elizabeth Webber: Forever The Manipulative Miss Or Adorable Angel?
KerleyQ replied to ulkis's topic in General Hospital
Really, Liz's speech to herself at the NB about how everyone in town has done awful shit and been essentially rewarded for it, living happy lives, may as well have been the viewers talking. What Liz is doing is wrong, no question, but on the sliding moral scale that is the town of Port Charles, it's definitely not even in the top 10 of worst things people have done. It still needs to be redeemed in some way, no question, but as long as the various killers in town are still walking around on screen, she doesn't need to be run out of town in shame. -
Agreed. The vast majority of NLG's followers are people who know her from her soap roles. So when she tweets, it is going to reflect on the show/network, even though it is her personal account. If your social media account is remotely associated with your job, then you'd be wise to keep that in mind when posting, because if you tweet something offensive, the reaction is inevitably going to be sent your employer's way.

I assume Max isn't there because he's fat? (I kid. I kid.) Poor, dim Milo. Wasn't one of the reasons he got out the danger? So, yes, jump back into duty when there's clearly a new mob war brewing, and stand guard outside the door of the mob boss who was just shot, so you're the last line of defense between him and whoever is trying to kill him. Seems like a smart, and not at all dangerous, move.

Fingers crossed she gets craned off screen. -
I watched a little of today's show, in between the grocery run and picking the kid up from school, and I have questions: 1) When did Milo start working for Sonny again? Didn't he de-mob a long time ago? 2) Who the fuckety fuck is that beast, Cujo, to be ordering people escorted from the hospital? You're not in Sonny's living room, dumbass. You don't just get to have Milo escort anyone you don't want to see right out the door. I just can't with that smug bitch. I'm not an Ava fan, by any means, but Carly crowing about how she's Avery's mother now, because Sonny says so, and it's such an honor made me want to smack my TV set with a brick and then set it in fire. I know you and Sonny seem to think this is how it works, Cujo, but you don't just get to assign people as the mother or father of your child when you're displeased with who the actual parent is. And Morgan? Standing there riding shotgun on the hypocrite express with his mother, judging Ava for sleeping with him behind Kiki's back, like he was some poor innocent lamb led astray who didn't know what this "sex" thing was Ava as introducing him to? Shut the hell up, Morgan. Is it remotely possible to watch Sonny Hospital without suffering a rage blackout? I feel like I need to get my doctor to up my pain meds, now.

How hard is it to simply tweet "I apologize for my earlier remarks. I was trying to be witty but wildly missed the mark and landed on offensive instead. I promise to do better in the future" and then log the hell off and go to bed? But, no, go with staying up all night replying to everyone who tweets to you. Don't worry, you'll totally stay mentally sharp as the hours of no sleep go on, and you won't remotely risk saying something even more offensive in your sleep deprived state.

I just wish that, if Michael is having a baby, it would be more of a catalyst for him to say "OK, I've managed to still love you despite what you did to my father, but I also can't subject any child of mine to the dangers of your criminal lifestyle." -

I was just clarifying what I was talking about in my previous post, since you quoted it in your reply. You never know. Maybe Carlos can be like Lily, and we'll see him in the afterlife, taking care of all of Sabrina's dead babies. -

I'm not disagreeing with any of this. My point was in regard to whether JT should feel obligated to pimp Samtrick, like there's any remote possibility they will be the end game couple here. The outcome shouldn't be so glaringly obvious to any viewer, but it is, so he'd look ridiculous trying to convince viewers that there's any significant chance that this is a couple built for the long haul. -
Agreed. Seth needs someone working with him who is good on the mic - whether it's Steph and HHH or whoever his opponent is. He needs someone strong to kind of carry him. In our house, we've often wondered why they have someone who is so unnatural on the mic opening Raw, week after week, with these long-ass in ring promos. When they were building up to his match against Lesnar, I was saying "they may as well just cut the crap and go with Steph and Heyman doing all the mic work here." (Because, let's face it, Brock is even worse on the mic than Seth. If you told me Brock only knows a couple dozen words, I wouldn't even bat an eye.) Oddly, though, I thought Seth seemed more relaxed and natural with the mic in his last appearance on The Daily Show than he's ever been on a WWE show.

Girl Meets Spoilers (and Spoiler Discussion)
KerleyQ replied to Kromm's topic in Girl Meets World [V]
His reaction is what I was wondering about as soon as I read the episode description. I figured that if he got physical with the kid bullying Farkle, it would be even more intense if someone is bullying Riley. Plus, now we know that he was kicked out of his last school for fighting to defend his friend, and, clearly, his friends being picked on is a big trigger issue for him. -

KerleyQ replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
The audience pretty much knows. Honestly, are there more than a small percentage of viewers who legitimately believe that Samtrick is going to be end game here? Anyone watching knows that they won't last much longer once the whole "Jake is Jason" thing is revealed. Not to mention, I think all actors have their favorite story lines or pairings. And they all do talk them up at times. I mean, KeMo campaigned for Samtrick before they happened, and she campaigned for BM as Jason. I really can't blame him for talking about Scrubs at this point. He has next to nothing to do now, and he adores KMc. It seems only natural that he'd be nostalgic for the pairing with a scene partner he loved working with* and where his character was allowed to actually be part of the story and not just a prop. *I'm not saying he does't like KeMo or doesn't like working with her. -
Didn't we already do a story with one of the group being picked on by a classmate with Farkle last season?
