Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue
KerleyQ replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
I could also see it being some kind of "so now she figures if she dates one of my friends, she has an excuse to hang around me and Dante" kind of thing. Or - "she knows Dante was jealous of me spending time with Dillon, so now she thinks she can make him jealous by hanging out with Dillon." -
Which means that the option exists that they could bring Silas back alive and well and claim that the dead guy was Caleb.

This. If half the town is going to know the secret before Sam and Monica (and Jason) know, then half the town doesn't get to join in on the moral takedown on Liz when the truth comes out. That same half the town also should be on the receiving end of whatever rage Sam, Monica, and Jason let loose. Now, I'm fine if Jason is more angry with Liz and Nik then anyone else who knows, for obvious reasons. But, if the end result of this story is that Liz is the town pariah and people who took part in keeping this secret get to look down on her, screw that. Yes, Laura and Lucky were thrown under the bus with this crap writing, but, so were Liz and Nik. Side note: If Nik was keeping something like this secret for the same kind of reasons Liz is (i.e. to keep getting some), I'd totally buy it, because Nik has been thinking with his dick first for years. But this ELQ "everyone in the family were big old meanies to Emily!" BS? No.

Oh, I have no doubt that, if Guza had done a story about Helena going after Alexis and her girls, it would have been ALL about Sonny and Jason saving them. And maybe Luke would have teamed up with them if Tony wasn't on vacation at the time. -

Plus, if you're a woman who's been told she can't use the pill because of clotting issues/stroke, you pretty much shouldn't use any BC method that involves hormones. That really limits your options (and some of those options come with their own sets of potential complications). For someone with Liz's history, her best bet is really condoms. -

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - they don't need to go to great lengths to hide someone's pregnancy or write it in for her character. They can just give us the credit to be able to separate the two. You don't want to go throw an eight months pregnant woman into a bra and panties for a love scene or a bikini out at the pool, but some clothing that is cut well to minimize her expanding belly should be fine. It's not like we don't all know what they're hiding behind the big purses, plants, and desks anyway, so it's always felt silly to me to go to that length - it's like "we can acknowledge that the actress is pregnant and the character isn't, as long as we don't let you see her stomach." -

I like the idea of Nina . As long as the fallout hasn't already been written. Because if Ron was responsible for it, instead of any punishment for Nina, it would be wackiness to remind us of how "fun!" Franco and Nina are. -

Even when they were just standing face to face talking, I could see something there. Say what you will about Wyatt, but he has FAR more chemistry with the Spencer Brothers' Official Harem than his waffling brother does. -
In this case, it bears repeating at least a few times.

He tweeted asking if he has any fans in Korea and got a bunch of responses like "I'm a fan and I live in Detroit" and various other places that are decidedly not in Korea. So now I'm picturing him sitting around telling himself "I have fans in Detroit, Korea!"

I think it's more about that being all she's going to call him "my grandson," instead of just Jake, especially when, as others have mentioned, it would be confusing to dumb the whole story of his biological father on him right off the bat after he's back.
-
In taking a quick look, it's some skin care company pyramid scheme thing. It looks like it's him Kelly, Freddie Smith, and Molly Burnett, and he is urging his fans to PM him to get involved.

I think BryDog is engaging in his very own MonaVie type side business. He's tweeting to get fans interested in signing up with him.

I can't imagine it would take much for Helena to indoctrinate Spencer. I mean, the little shit's halfway there, already. -
I had a similar thought when it popped on, except I thought it was Rosalie. "God, is she crying about the secret nobody cares about?"
-
I think there's an outside chance that Morgan is actually too stupid to die.

If they go this route, I'm calling bullshit. He was never in love with her. If his script is about any lost love, it had damn well better be Georgie. The only recounting of his past with Lulu I'd accept as a script is if it's a story about a guy dealing with the emotional roller coaster of cheating on the love of his life, getting the other woman pregnant, and then dealing with the emotional fallout of both the cheating and her abortion (Lulu had one, you know). That, at least, I can actually see being the makings of a script. How good can a script be about "For a brief period of time, two other guys and I followed my stepsister around, mooning over her while she dated some other guy"? -
I don't know that she has a ton of room to complain about that. She initially campaigned for the pairing, but then she was also pushing for them to cast BM as NuJason. She couldn't have possibly thought that Samtrick had any real chance if they were bringing Jason back. If her complaint is about the overall writing quality, I'm with her. If her complaint is that Samtrick wasn't a success, then I don't know what she expected. I'm with you. But now I want them to get Ethan back with her. Yep, I'm still bitter.

They did a similar story on GH a few years back or so. A character killed the woman who had kidnapped his pregnant mother (who then went into labor and delivered her baby) and was going to take off with the baby. He clocked her over the head to stop her and she died. It was a pretty clear "in defense of others" case, but his father and uncle were in the mob and of the "the police can't be trusted!" mindset and set about covering it up. His father ended up on trial for her death, and he came in at some point during the trial and confessed. The judge ended up throwing him in jail for the cover up (and basically as a "fuck you" to his criminal family for the cover up). There's a tiny little fear in me that, since they seem intent on trashing Ivy to prop FUN!!!Steffy, we'll get a twist on that where, after Ivy has kept the video secret for a while (I assume) holding it over Steffy's head, somehow the truth comes out, and the judge throws the book at Ivy for withholding evidence, blackmail, and basically just not being as awesome as FUN!!!Steffy. The judge will likely also kiss Steffy's FUN!!! ass, telling her how brave and lucky she was to have survived her unhinged cousin's attack on her. -
Guys. I'm scared. Someone replied with "We need more Franco!" How? Why? What? I need to go lie down.

I'm all for one last OLTL pick up - Chandelier. Chandy can take out Kiki and Franco. -

At this point, I'm honestly good with like one episode that has a lot of just full screen explanations, interspersed with a few scenes of key moments. Like a a few scenes of text explaining how Jason found out who he is, along with quick clips of him talking to people like Sam and Monica for the first time (as Jason), a screen or two explaining that the Q's exposed Nik and got back ELQ, with a scene of Michael and Tracy settling back in to their offices and Nik storming out of a courtroom. Obviously we'd need some explanation that Anna found Robin, along with a scene of her rescuing her. And then start the next episode with some new story lines. Some would build off what was just wrapped up - like Jason re-entering life and whether he's Jason Q, Jason Morgan, or some new hybrid. Personally, I'd start him off as being repulsed by his hit man past and trying to help Anna bring down the mob. I know it would seem kind of cheap and lazy, but I feel like sometimes things get so bad that you just need to wipe the slate clean and move on. Don't spend too much time trying to wrap up the crap Ron left you, just move along and do something that viewers will actually tune in for regularly. -

I think it was a little bit of all of that. -
I'm wondering if that letter is what takes Laura off screen for the month Genie is going to be gone.

I can't help but think that the ridiculous vague promos are part of Ron's wanting every single thing to be a "big surprise!" But there has to be a happy medium between every single thing being a surprise and spoiling everything. You can promo that Lucy's daughter is returning while keeping secret the circumstances of her return. If there's some big surprise coming in the immediate future that they wanted to keep spoiled, they could have played that surprise out today. Or play it out tomorrow, with a decent enough lead in to it at the end of today's episode or in the "on the next General Hospital" previews at the end. A non-spoiled surprise isn't worth shit if nobody is watching when it happens on screen.
