Regarding Oliver being in a cell - We know that while Team Arrow and the SCPD are searching for Ray's assailant, Quentin is kidnapped by Ra's, who likely tells him Oliver is the Arrow. So Quentin and the SCPD then search for Oliver. What if Roy decides to save Oliver (maybe because he wants to save Thea from further heartbreak or loss) by tricking Oliver into the cell in the Arrowcave and then locking him in there. Roy then dons the Arrow suit, goes out and reveals himself as the Arrow. What if at the end of this season, Oliver resolves his identity crisis by deciding that he can't be Oliver Queen and that is why he becomes the new Ra's. Then the summer hiatus will be him trying to reform the LOA and failing, When the show returns in the fall, he suddenly shows up in Starling City at the end of the first episode and we subsequently see in flashbacks what happened in Nanda Parbat over the hiatus months.

Arrow Ep. 3.16 “The Offer” holds itself back as it pushes forward Posted on March 20, 2015 By Randy Dankievitch http://www.soundonsight.org/arrow-the-offer-review/

This is an interesting analysis of "The Offer," outlining some characters' "special gifts" and how this episode used them (however, Felicity is reduced to a one-liner, and Diggle, Roy and Laurel are omitted altogether)... Morrigan2575 has pointed out the reasons why my theory is untenable. I had latched onto that theory because it would explain why Laurel isn't in the pics of the group going to Nanda Parbat. She'd be a dead body in a box to be resurrected via the LP. But now I don't know who's going where and why...

OK, here's my current speculation based on spoilery clues (if I'm matching the clues to episodes correctly)... In 3x19 Laurel saves Oliver's life out in the field but is killed in the process (Laurel goes pretty far for Oliver in 3x19). Oliver agrees to become the new Ra's in exchange for Ra's agreeing to bring Laurel back to life via the LP (Oliver loves Felicity but that doesn't mean there aren't other women he'll save). In 3x20 Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, Thea and Nyssa take Laurel's body to Nanda Parbat. On the jet, Oliver and Felicity confess their feelings for each other, but agree to separate for plot reasons (3x20 will be both extremely good and extremely bad for Olicity). Oliver, Thea, Nyssa and the resurrected Laurel stay in Nanda Parbat, while Diggle and Felicity return to Starling City (Olicity fans will not be happy with 3x21).

Non-spoilery MG responses at http://marcguggenheim.tumblr.com/ MG also posted a lot of fan praise for "The Offer" episode, mostly from Oliver and Felicity fans.

You're welcome! Actually, I'm not doing that much scouring anymore. By now, I have a pretty good idea of which critics/websites that I like to read for Arrow reviews and which ones I don't like. I only post the ones that I like or that I think make new points. Then if I have time, I'll peruse Google News for other reviews.

I recently started watching Vikings and I really like the character of Lagertha, who's played by Katheryn Winnick. Did you know that in real life, KW is a martial artist who got her black belt at age 13, as well as a licensed bodyguard? No wonder her fighting scenes are so awesome. I loved how Lagertha divorced Ragnar after he cheated on her and got another woman pregnant, and then wanted to have two wives! Then Lagertha becomes an Earl in her own right.

No, I think you just can't go it alone. If Oliver had stayed solo in season 1, he would've died before the season ended. Also, Oliver was emotionally unhealthy to begin with (PTSD, trauma, etc.), so Diggle and Felicity have been helping him get more emotionally healthy. I also don't think he's that reliant on them. If anything, he's still resistant to sharing info or intimacy with them. They all rely on each other to some extent. In any event, everybody needs someone. BA/The Flash has his team. Even BW/Batman has Alfred.

A more critical review of "The Offer" by Mark Rozeman of Paste Magazine... Arrow Review: “The Offer”(Episode 3.16) By Mark Rozeman March 19, 2015 | 4:22pm http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/03/arrow-review-the-offer.html

More from 3x16 (The Offer)... Oliver: “One of them [Murmur] had his lips sewn shut.” Felicity: “Is that a real thing?” Oliver: “Apparently.” Felicity: “If only I had known I had that option Oliver (to Felicity): “I started all of this because of my father, to … right his wrongs. It became something more, but I never stopped to think about ‘it’ or about ‘why’… until you asked me to.” Felicity: “So... that means a pass on becoming the most handsome demon’s head ever?” Oliver: “It means I’m not ready to give up on what we’re doing here.” Felicity (to Oliver): “You know you’re always saying how you just want me to be happy? Well, the thing is… as long as you’re in my life, I am.”

Here is Robert Dougherty's review of "The Offer" (good read, as usual)... Arrow S3: E16 -- 'The Offer' By Robert Dougherty March 19, 2015 01:58PM EDT http://www.themovienetwork.com/review/arrow-s3-e16-offer

I honestly don't know the answer to that question. Just when I'm thinking about quitting at the end of this season, they pull me back in with an episode like "The Offer". I have a feeling this up-and-down, back-and-forth, roller-coaster reaction will be a common one going forward. But the death or departure (or greatly reduced to barely there role) of Felicity or Diggle could be my breaking point.
