Sleepy Hollow - Episode 3.09 - One Life - Press Release Posted by DarkUFO at Wednesday, January 13, 2016 http://www.spoilertv.com/2016/01/sleepy-hollow-episode-309-one-life.html -
Laura Hurley on what makes a "strong female character"... runnerone24 asks: You might have an interesting viewpoint on something I've noticed lately. Many female actors (TV & film) say how lucky they are to play a "strong female character" and they inevitably follow that by saying that there aren't many "strong female characters." It's a great generalization to say that every actress says this, but I do hear it a lot. It seems like female roles are better (at least in "quality" TV & films), but people still say they're lacking. Do you see many "weak" female roles today? Regarding the LoT EP Phil Klemmer interview (just posted on page 28 of the Spoilers thread), where he says that they'll visit Star City in the future to see the consequences of the removal of our Legends from their own timelines... I wonder if that's when we'll see the future, older Oliver (on LoT) and what he's like in this alternate future. In such a scenario, they could show Oliver married to anyone at all and it wouldn't matter because it's an alternate future.

Arrow is #4... 21 Best TV Shows Based on Comic Books, Ranked by Awesomeness Posted January 13, 2016 by Phil Pirrello http://www.moviefone.com/2016/01/13/best-tv-shows-based-comics-flash/#slide=3650726

Donna is in 410 and 413. No word on whether she's in 411 or 412. I suspect that she is not. I'm guessing that the Calculator is revealed only as the villain in 412 and then in the last two minutes of the episode, he's revealed to be Felicity's father. Then 413 will the episode in which Donna returns and we have the Smoak family 'reunion'.

I doubt they dropped or changed any of their original BMD plans. IIRC, the EPs had promised Anna Hopkins a real storyline if she did that cameo last season. ETA: If anyone's interested, Laura Hurley just wrote a tumblr post about MG and the BMD... http://laurawritesabout.tumblr.com/post/137301201441/hi-laura-i-enjoy-the-detailed-analysis-how-much

I've been re-reviewing past seasons during this midwinter hiatus and I just finished 2x05 (League of Assassins). The following piece of dialogue struck me as particularly funny in hindsight: Diggle: "What are you doing? Oliver told you to stay put. I thought you didn't want your father to know you're still alive." Sara: "I don't. But it's better than him not being. Where do you think you're going?" Diggle: "With you. I'm not going to let you go out there without any back-up." Sara: "Dig, you may be a three-tour Special Forces veteran, but I was trained by the people that make the Special Forces look like a kindergarten class. So step aside or get put down." Diggle: "It's your funeral, Sara." It's funny because later, in Season 3, we see Diggle, Thea and Laurel fighting League assassins on multiple occasions - and not only emerging unscathed, but defeating them.

If what the bad reviews are saying is true (no clear leads, but a lot of alphas), then the LoT EPs need to remember that Guardians of the Galaxy (the movie that LoT is most compared to) had a clear leading character - Peter Quill. I think it's Supergirl. Wasn't there a teaser awhile back that they'd be featuring a young Clark Kent in an upcoming episode?

Did you notice the 415 "Story by Marc Guggenheim" line credit? Another bad sign for this episode.
