  1. Yep, not to mention the audience reception. People have already starting sniping about him in other threads.
  2. Oh lawd, Brooke would wear that poor child out. But in general I agree that maybe Brooke needs to get some peen of her own so she could stop worrying so about Ridge's.
  3. I agree with this completely but to me Ridge's personality defects don't give Brooke the right to tell him what to do. Caroline is a grown-up too and IMO has to assume responsibility for the choices she makes. If she chooses to trust that Ridge is being completely honest with her about the whole baby issue, that's on her. I think Brooke's "concern" is mostly about her jealousy and not wanting to see Ridge have a kid with a younger woman.
  4. Is the guy who plays Thomas that tall or is the guy who plays Zende that short? I'm confused by Caroline and Thomas' convo today. Does she not use her own birth control? I know a lot of nonsense gets used as plot points on soaps but this pregnancy test in the purse one has always seemed particularly ridiculous to me. Has this ever actually happened to anyone any of us knows? Ridge is a grown-ass man. AFAIC, it's not for Brooke to tell him to do anything except perhaps something that directly involves their son. Yeah, Nicole can't keep her mouth shut to save her life.
  5. That's the main reason I don't see him winning. Julie Chen and her gang at The Talk do a segment with the winner and I can't imagine she or some of the others would want to deal with Austin's shtick.
  6. Ugh, I hope not. Why should Brooke be the designated Keeper of All Secrets? That said, I think if she finds out about Thomas and Caroline's night of rapey-ness, she'll try to spin it that Caroline deliberately slept with Thomas in hopes that it'll drive Ridge to break up with Caroline. Bonus points if she waits until the day of the wedding to spill the beans to Ridge. But someone (a "civilian") would have to be making a specific effort to find it, no? It's not like anyone could do a simple Google or YouTube search. Seems to me that the show is done with the storyline altogether. Wonder what that means for Ivy's status as the face of Forrester?
  7. I think Steffy was trying to imitate the Kim Kardashian look, at least above the neck. She's probably 40 pounds short of being able to imitate KK's shape. Taking bets. Ridge and Caroline's wedding will either be in Eric's living room or Bill and Katie's. Assuming the wedding even happens... It's nary any of Brooke's business but she's right. Ridge should not marry Caroline without telling her about the vasectomy. Caroline should also tell him what Thomas did. Beginning a marriage with two huge secrets from each other is probably not a recipe for success. Yeah, I'm gonna need Katie to make at least one snarky remark to Ridge's face about that. Really. Hot pants?
  8. Brava. That was some next-level mindfcukery Vanessa pulled tonight. Wonder if production fed Austin that line about Julia sealing Liz's fate. Weak. Sorry, Austin, that line belongs to Kaysar forever.
  9. Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin) is joining Y&R in a recurring role.
  10. OMG! Michael E. Knight, one of the former stars and legacy cast members of AMC is joining Y&R! It's only a recurring role but still, probably only Susan Lucci would be a bigger "get" as far as AMC is concerned. Read all about it here. ETA: Now it's really too bad they killed Kelly off...
  11. I've only been watching the show solidly for a couple of years and I can't even wrap my head around that. Was Thomas a teenager when it happened? He and Brooke sure don't act like they have that kind of history together.
  12. Shut up, Hanna. The Holy Ghost called and said for you to stop taking His name in vain. And to stop using Him as a way to get other people to break rules and put their jobs in jeopardy. Oscar is quite the charmer. Candace tells him she really, really likes him and his response is to ask if they're free to see other people. Something's just not right about that guy but Candace appears to be getting sucked in anyway. Quincy driving into Hanna's house in broad daylight was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. And again he just walked away with barely a scratch on him. The guy must be some kind of superhero. $270,000 a year to do nothing?! How delusional is Celine? And if he's been paying her that much for at least four years she should be a millionaire. Why is she living like she's just scraping by?
  13. It seems to me that this season production has had to try extra hard to create personalities for some of the houseguests. I'd put James and Meg in that category, plus they've struggled to do something with Steve. He's finally starting to develop but his HOH room was relatively dull, IMO, because there's just not much there there. Then we had the stereotypical houseguests who were probably assumed to be able to ride for a good while on their outsize personas or looks. I'd put Da’Vonne, Jason, Jace, and Clay in that category. I really wonder if TPTB expected Austin to last this long and wonder if production is worried about him making it F2. The twins are walking, talking gimmicks which landed flat since pretty much the whole house figured out the "twist". I also think TPTB made a mistake with Audrey in that they used her to jump on a topical bandwagon and didn't imagine she'd have a total meltdown almost right off the bat. Finally, after BB15 the houseguests are overly conscious of how they think they're coming across to the audience. I think it's hurting the game play because they over-think everything they say and do. It's getting close to the point where production might as well script the entire show since it probably wouldn't be any less "realistic".
  14. It was so silly. He's been largely ineffective throughout this mess but now he had to step up and act like he's the one who finally settled it. My eyes are still rolling.
  15. Plus he was forcing the guy to screw his relatively frumpy wife. Apparently that's how he got his wife to accept his sleeping with other (younger, hotter) women. I was puzzled by the former FBI guy's reaction too. Was he expressing ironic glee that he was suddenly able to exact revenge on Ray, or was he terrified of possibly having Ray come after him again? Whichever, the guy looks to be in bad shape. It's quite a fall to go from all but congressionally confirmed as the next FBI director to underemployed as an NFL credit check clerk.
  16. That high-waisted bathing suit seemed to be back in retro style for a while anyway. Here's some young celebrities wearing the look earlier this year, including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Kourtney Kardashian:
  17. Nah, Nick ain't shooting nothing magical. That's Adam's baby. ;-) If we're laying bets now, I don't think it'll turn out to be Thomas' kid unless they're going to break up Caroline and Ridge permanently. I don't see Ridge being willing to act as stepfather to his own grandchild. That'd be some weird Maury Show ish, IMO. I do agree with comments upthread though that the show needs to start giving the younger generation some babies. If they're grown enough to run major companies, they're grown enough to have kids. Good luck baby-proofing your cliffside house, Liam.
  18. Yep. Soaps have this twisted thing they call "grief sex". Two people who, for example, have just watched their beloveds blow up in an airplane decide that's the moment they need to have sex with each other. Sex helps them forget the pain or some crap. However, I don't think that's what happened here, or at least that's not what the audience has been shown so far. Full stop. And that needs be consent from a person who's legally of age to give it. I read an interesting comment elsewhere about what might have made for better soap than this rapey crap with Thomas. Caroline and Rick both have partners with whom they can't (or probably can't) have biological children. For whatever reason, Maya and Ridge are both out of town. Rick and Caroline have drinks for old time's sake and eventually the conversation leads to the having children issue. While commiserating their fates, they get drunk and end up sleeping together. In the meantime, Ridge finds out the vasectomy can't be reversed. Then Caroline learns she's pregnant and unless a miracle's afoot, it's probably Rick's baby. Lots of dramaz ensue between the two couples as Rick and Caroline realize they do want the child but of course Maya and Ridge feel completely betrayed. Meanwhile, Thomas is at Forever 21 shopping for blouses.
  19. Sorry but I think it's a horrid idea for people to have kids if they don't want them. Why put that burden in an innocent child just to try to hang onto somebody? And how would that kid feel if they ever found out? I don't understand why it's up to Wyatt to delete Ivy's blackmail video. Steffy could've hired some hacker kid from a local high school to do it. And why would Wyatt have Ivy's "master password" if they've barely been together a week or two? If she has one password which unlocks her entire electronic world then she deserves to be hacked. So, I wonder how many small birds are nesting in Steffy's hair? Ivy, hon, I'm not sure how the justice system works in Australia but here in the U.S., people can't decide to make themselves the judge and jury of another person. Get all the way over yourself. BTW, didn't Thomas try to get Hope drunk so he could seduce her? The guy's got a definite M.O. and I'm not seeing anything innocent about him. Unless Thomas is really, really tiny, wouldn't Caroline have known? Especially if he didn't use a condom? <golf claps> I wanted to cheer too but the thing is, it is all about Liam. IMO, Ivy probably wouldn't be doing this if Liam hadn't left her for Steffy.
  20. Wow, I loved both Ivy and Steffy's dresses today. They looked fab in those bright primary colors. Dear JMW: please stop it with the hair. Just stop. OMG, Brooke is such a busybody. She was brimming with glee when she told Thomas that Caroline and his father had broken up. At the very least she could make sure her gossip is current before she goes spreading it around. Ridge is already trying to get back with Caroline. (Don't do it, Caroline! The Forrester men are poison!) Ditto comments upthread, none of this would've happened if Ridge had been fully open with Caroline instead of using ambiguous language that could be easily misinterpreted. I really wish she'd tell him what happened with Thomas so he would know what kind of consequences his vagueness helped to cause. Plus, maybe he'll put a beatdown on his d-bag son.
  21. Candace has extremely embarrassing, compromising, and public image-destroying photos and video of Jim hidden away. If anything happens to her that stuff gets released. I think at this point Jim would be satisfied just to get his most of his money back. David's balls are on loan. Most of the time Veronica keeps them safely stashed in her Birkin bag. She lets David wear them during their joint public appearances and then reclaims them. I know everyone assumes it's either Jim or David who put Oscar onto Candace but now I'm wondering if it was Katheryn. I gotta give TP points for setting up a good mystery on the Oscar score because that guy is the definition of "too good to be true".
  22. And if she's drunk and/or on any measure of medication/drugs, she loses her right to have consensual sex and becomes open season for any guy willing to take advantage of her weakened state, especially if he has enough moral depravity not to think he's doing anything wrong. I really don't care about Caroline's past; at that particular moment in time I think she had the right not to have some guy throw his penis into her without her being fully aware of what was happening. I hate storylines like this because generally what it leads to is more victim-blaming and people trying to define situations when it might be acceptable to take advantage of someone sexually. (And frankly, the genders could be reversed and I'd feel the same way. AFAIC, this isn't a "feminism" issue.)
  23. What is JMW trying to hide with that mess on her head? It is so ridiculous, IMO of course. I see where this thing with Caroline and Thomas might go. It's the "just because you can't remember what happened that doesn't mean it was rape" angle. And some victim-blaming is queued up too because Caroline took non-prescribed tranquilizers and then drank a lot of wine. AFAIC, Thomas is shady and he knows he took advantage of her. I hope she tells Ridge but she probably won't because she feels guilty. Ridge will likely find out because Thomas decides put out a self-serving spin on what happened. I think it might be several hours later the same day. It was probably early evening when Thomas got to Caroline’s hotel suite. But on the other hand, Ridge and Brooke may have in fact stayed up all night talking because it’s so important for her to be all up in his business.
  24. Yeah, it's hard to image the CEO of a major fashion house based in LA would live in a tiny apartment like that. I get the whole "artist's loft" concept but he could build that inside a mansion. Heavens no. It's from the revived Brass n' Sassy line, Newman Enterprise's "we can do that too" cosmetics brand. Since contraception isn't the only thing condoms are used for, Caroline better get STD tested because who knows where that pyscho Thomas has been...
