  1. I was having the same thought, about why the hell would any of these girls presume someone is dead when there is no body. For God's sake, when there IS a body, I would still be doubting the person was really dead!
  2. LOL @ DeLurker. I am not a huge fan of the actress OR the character at this point. I will admit, she got some awesome lines in the episodes I have seen thus far. Her stunt fighting skills leave a lot to be desired. Hopefully, the character will grow on me.
  3. I think they need to limit Flynn to a cameo every few episodes, even though I adore Noah Wiley and the original Librarian movies. This show isn't ABOUT him but, if he keeps turning up, he is going to steal every episode he is in for me. I think the LITs are an interesting team (even if Cassandra is a turn coat) and I want to see more of them and how they deal with things. That was half the fun of the original movies....watching Flynn stumble through and try to figure out what the hell he was doing.
  4. I watched the Christmas episode before seeing this one (I HATE when I miss premiers of shows I want to see!) and I was happy to find out how the LITs came to be. I floved the Librarian movies so I was excited for this series. I can definitely see the comparisons to Warehouse 13 but honestly, Rebecca Romijin's character's invite reminded me forcibly of another Sci-Fi favorite....Eureka. I was seriously disappointed when Cassandra turned out to be a traitor and I really hate that it was all forgotten by the end of the episode. I can kind of understand where she was coming from...she doesn't want to die, they offered to save her and Flynn didn't....but still, I wouldn't want her watching my back right after that betrayal. Maybe I am just a bitch, but I thought she should need to prove herself a bit more first.
  5. I will agree about the way Maya/Riley talked to Shawn/Cory. I am a Disney addict and it's kind of a theme with their shows. Many of the kids on these shows talk to the adults....well, like kids dream of talking to adults (guess that's why the shows are geared to kids). If I talked to my parents the way Riley talked to Cory/Shawn, I would still be grounded 30 years later! They definitely make a joke of the way Cory is "trapped" in the house by his family, but honestly, what father would allow his child to keep badgering his guest about "When is my birthday?"?! And Maya (who I love!) and her "You're great in the stories. I don't see it yet", was so incredibly rude. I don't care if he IS hurting her best friend's feelings, you simply don't talk to an adult like that when you are 13 years old.
  6. I KNOW Christmas is over and I KNOW I should delete this episode from the DVR, but I just cant do it. LOL Every time I watch it, I notice something new. Today's revelation....I liked how mature Riley looked (and sounded) when she parroted Cory's "You got this, buddy" to Maya. Her expression and tone were more mature than usual and I actually felt like I was watching a 14/15 year old instead of a 10 year old (yes, I know the character is only 13 but she always seems so young).
  7. I will agree with everyone that the costuming was absolutely gorgeous on the girls. Those dresses were just incredible, especially Emily's ball gown. I could live without Aria's tutu looking thing on the skirt, but it fit with what the character would normally wear (and obviously, her creeper teacher boyfriend knows her SO well, he picked out the perfect dress). If Ezra wasn't there, I would have found the scene with the SOs in their boxers adorable. Having him standing there with his students took it from "awww" to "OMG! GROSS!" in 2 seconds. I took the Ali Christmas gift memory thing to be about Mrs. D and Bethany. Nothing else even crossed my mind (regarding twins, etc.) until I came to these boards. I know it's silly considering everything else, but it bothered me when Mrs. D essentially said "you need to lie about this or daddy will leave us and it will be your fault". I was sitting here thinking that is NOT something you put on a child's shoulders....then I remembered what show I am watching. LOL
  8. I fixed mine, skyfall. :) I am always misspelling his name.
  9. OMG! Now that is one DEEP song. Can certainly see why her album has such an intense name! LOL
  10. I liked Josh's "Two Grown Men in a Girl's Bedroom Window", too. :) I got a big laugh every time Topanga said "my whole life" to the look Riley would be giving her whenever Corey said something about Shawn and Topanga. I did like that she used the same words when Corey made his little speech. So sweet. I must admit, I am not missing Lucas. I love me some Farkle so I would be disappointed if non-school episodes excluded him. They have previously acted as though Farkle, Lucas, Maya and Riley are all really good friends so I am kind of surprised we didn't see him.
  11. Oh, I know the "Shawn?!" thing is Corey being Corey, but how heck did the parents HEAR him say Shawn (and thus know to say "No. It's your parents.") when he was nowhere near the speaker box?!
  12. One thing that is really bugging me (and I know I CANT be the only one that noticed this).... When Maya rings the bell, Corey answers it with "Shawn?" and Maya replies with her name. When it buzzes again, Corey says "Shawn!" while next to the Christmas tree, then walks to the box and his father says "No. It's your parents." Corey was nowhere near the speaker box ("let me explain how a speaker box works" indeed. LOL). Every time I watch this episode (and it is currently on my TV for it's 17th viewing), that bugs the crap out of me!
  13. Oh Lord, the Farkle reaction! "Corey, what is that there"?" Shawn's face was priceless! I also loved "You're Corey...with Topanga's hair" with that sweet Shawn smile. Seeing all the old characters made it just awesome.
  14. THIS! Why the hell didn't any of these idiots think about this!
  15. Am I the only person who has watched this episode so many times they have it memorized? I have watched it more than a dozen times....and it's still on the DVR. :)
  16. Did Hayley tell Klaus that on TVD or the Originals (yes, I admit to watching both)? I am actually GLAD that vamp blood cant cure cancer (sorry Liz). There has to be some limits. Maybe the reason Enzo died of consumption or TB or whatever if is was because the vamp who tried to turn him fed him the blood too late? I mean, if he was literally on his last breath, would the blood have had time to cure him of the disease? I don't think the length of time the blood has to be in the system has ever been addressed, has it?
  17. I can only fanwank that Grams believed Bonnie would find her way home from 1994....or else she believed that Kai was hanging out in a different part of the world than Mystic Falls and Bonnie would never run into him. I have a really hard time believing that Grams would deliberately send her beloved granddaughter to spend eternity trapped with a magic sucking psychopath who has most likely become even MORE insane after decades of isolation. Think about what Bonnie would have been enduring had Damon not ended up hitching a ride with her. Bonnie alone with Kai, being tortured, raped or God knows what day after day for eternity....Grams couldn't possibly believe THAT existence would be better than whatever was waiting on the other side of the Other Side.
  18. Elena cured the Whitmore ghost girl at the bonfire thing after Tyler ran her down with the car. I still wasn't sure that the accident killing someone would have triggered the werewolf curse. Technically, the car killed those people, he didn't. Would he turn if his Halloween costume was really scary and some old guy saw it and had a heart attack? It's indirect, but he would be responsible for the death. I know the car thing is different than that, but I still don't see how if triggers his curse. Ok, better scenario...what if, instead of HIS car going into the maze, he had swerved and caused someone else's car to go in to the maze and kill a bunch of people. It's still his "fault" that people are dead....does that trigger the curse? Unless I have forgotten about it, we really haven't heard about too many other's experiences that caused the werewolf gene to go active. Actually, although I am sure we heard it somewhere along the way, I don't remember how Hayley's got triggered. Anyone else retain that because now it's going to make me nuts that I cant remember.
  19. I am loving, Kai. Yes, they were idiots for not killing him when they had the chance, but I am so glad they didn't. Even if I hadn't loved him before, the fact that he took down that stupid freaking magic barrier thingie on Mystic Falls would make me adore him. I did wonder, as a previous poster stated, if Kai's plan was not to let the gang back in and then the magic would "wear off" of him, the barrier would swoop back up, and all his enemies are suddenly *poof* dead from previous disease/wound/whatever. It really isn't clear what happens to the magic when it wears off of Kai. He has never sucked the power from a non-living (and thus non-regenerating) entity so we don't know if the power returns from whence it came or if it dissipates or what. The first time we saw him take Bonnie's power, she was drained. But we don't know if it returned to her or if her body simply made more because she is a natural witch. And really, since Kai DID take the power from a totally different type of source, it could be that the result is different as to what happens to the power when it "wears off". For that matter, maybe taking it this way will mean it won't wear off at all. For the first time in a very long time, this show actually has me impatient for the next episode! Was sad to hear Liz is dying, but I can't imagine her voluntarily becoming a vampire. Actually, I kind of wonder if she didn't tell Caroline about the illness so she could do some thinking about weather or not she WANTED to be a vampire (plus not wanting to ruin the holidays). It seems logical for her to think someone in the gang would offer to turn her and surely she would want some time to think about it before the choice was laid in front of her. I predict the writers are going to go the same way as they did with Caroline and Elena...Liz is going to "accidentally" die with vampire blood in her system.
  20. I completely loved this episode. The family interactions are always fascinating to me and the more siblings in one place, the merrier. The bonfire scene with the polaroid picture just melted me. I know they had to destroy the picture, but it would have been great to see Klaus keep it, if only for a little while. I thought the scene where Klaus and Hayley saw their daughter for the first time were well done (was so expecting the kid to start screaming when handed to Hayley...she relates to Bex as her mother and you know how little ones are when handed off to strangers). Klaus sniffing her head was adorable and, while it fits with his werewolf side to sniff, I expect it was more a natural act by the actor than a reaction from the character. Davina is totally going to regret whatever she ends up doing with Kol. I adore that 1000 year old imp but he is NOT boyfriend material. If the writers really want to make me happy, they will have Davina being playing HIM while he thinks he is playing her. I know it would be a little unrealistic that a 16-year-old would outsmart a 1000-year-old immortal but I could totally see Kol being overconfident simply because he is so much older (and knows how cute he is) and getting played in the end....hopefully right as he reveals he has been playing her.
  21. I agree with you, smug47. The dynamic between the siblings is one of the most fascinating parts of the show for me. I have loved Klaus since TVD and when you add all his siblings to the mix, he just becomes more interesting. I know a lot of people talk about the inappropriate relationship he has with Bex, but I adore their weird interactions. And seeing him with Hope this week just melted me. I hope this show lasts long enough to have Hope as a bratty teenager (I expect an age jump at some point) because I am dying to see Klaus deal with her acting exactly like a female him!
  22. I am guessing the lovely 50s housewives just stood there having vapors while Dandy murdered their cohorts. LOL Those women cracked me up every time they were on screen. I am kind of sorry Dandy managed to whack them all. What is Jimmy gonna do for spare money now? And was I the only one in a fit of laugher when the first wife was talking about giving her husband and blowjob and getting a new stove (or was it a refrigerator?)?!
  23. As a former BMW fan, I admit to squeeing when Shawn walked in and shut the door. The whole "they are us" comparison was cute and I laughed out loud at the "yeah"/"yeah" stuff with Shawn and Maya. If Maya was an orphan, I could see them setting up Shawn adopting her. As it stands, though, I am not sure exactly what Maya needs Shawn in her life for. Maya has a parent (albeit one who isn't around much) but she also has the Matthews family (just as Shawn did back in the day), so why does she need Shawn as some kind of surrogate father (isn't that what Corey is to her?!). Alan had 4 kids of his own so he wasn't as close to Shawn as Corey is to Maya. She is not lacking a parental role model. *shrug* Guess I don't need to understand it, I just have to like it (which I do). Cool Uncle Josh was awesome, but like everyone else, I was bugged that Eric and Morgan weren't even mentioned. A throwaway line about them not being able to come to NY for Christmas would have been all that was necessary. The writers wouldn't even have needed to specify where they were (leaving it open for future guest starring roles), just have Amy mention how she hated that all her kids couldn't be there for the holidays and Alan say something about Morgan and Eric being really busy but at least they had called that morning. See how easy, writers? Two grown men sitting in a girl's bedroom window and nobody think that that's weird And *wink* Completely awesome there, cool Uncle Josh! Maya having a thing for Josh is completely understandable....he's cute and funny and what teeny bopper wouldn't be crushing on him. Now, him returning the feelings is a little weird, considering what their ages are supposed to be, but I took his "you grew up gorgeous" to just be sweet comment that an older guy would throw to a younger girl who he is fond of. I didn't see him looking at her as possible dating material....at least not yet. In another 2 years or so, it might be a possibility. I would so watch the Corey and Shawn show, with Shawn as a cop and Corey running a deli and nobody talking but them. :) I loved the "my whole life" comments by Topanga and the hug she and Shawn exchanged....Topanga isn't JUST his BFF's wife. Shawn and Topanga were friends throughout their childhood, as well and I thought that came through nicely.
  24. Best part of the entire episode was the expression on the face of the pre-teen boy when the girls/women were reciting their pledge (in the zombie bear scene). The kid had a look on his face like he just realized he had a penis. My boyfriend and I rewound that scene at least 5 times and just laughed our asses off! It seems pretty obvious (to me anyway) that Mack is dead. Seeing Abby's locket with the little girl makes me think she MIGHT be dead. I thought she was going to change her mind when she saw Mack get shot at the gate....thought that would shock her out of brainwashed PTSD mode, but it didn't. I'd like to think that, when she witnessed psycho sister wives killing her supposed great love, she attacked and tried to save him and that got her killed. If we find out she is still alive, I am going to be very disappointed in her. This show isn't shy about killing off "main" cast members. I wonder if each season will be a new group of people trying to get Murphy to California.
  25. I like Enzo too. He is a lot like early Damon....evil in his own way, but I just cant help but like him. I really hope they keep him around. I wouldn't mind a hookup with Caroline and him (where I think the writers will eventually go).
