  1. Was Ralph Bohner a shoutout to Boner from Growing Pains?
  2. I think every generation has a “are high school kids really doing that?” show. The OC was tamer, because it was on broadcast during prime time, but they were drinking, having sex, and doing drugs on that show too.
  3. I know it's been an unconventional awards season, but I guess it was technically kicked off last weekend with the Golden Globes, and we still don't have a thread for it! I think the acting race might be interesting this year for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. Jodie Foster hasn't been nominated for any of the other major awards so far this season, and Andra Day missed out on a SAG nomination. I thought Carey Mulligan (or maybe Frances McDormand) had it in the bag!
  4. If she can turn a fly into a bird, why couldn't she take a rando off the street and give him Pietro's face? I mean, I'd buy your logic, if that's what they tell us, but I still think it's really weird that she specifically couldn't bring back Pietro's face, because he was "on another continent and full of holes" if she didn't need an actual Pietro to pull off the con.
  5. Congrats to the Globes for only going over by 3 minutes this year.
  6. Monica confirmed that the twins were real. She helped birth them, and later we saw them grow on their own.
  7. Is there a full list of the "All Stars" (and WTH, wasn't Big Easy from Fresh Meat?) I don't want to subscribe to another service, but the Gen-X revival of RW/RR is tempting.
  8. Did anyone make any offhand remarks about Pietro's speed during the pre-bomb scene? I can't remember.
  9. Where is Westview in relation to the Avenger complex? I'm guessing within commuting distance.
  10. Re: Fietro. I’m curious why Agatha made a point of saying she couldn’t use real Pietro, because his body was on another continent. I still think she pulled X-Peter out of the multiverse, because he lives in the Northeast (I can’t find where his mother’s basement is.)
  11. She previously altered Monica’s Kevlar into bell bottoms. So she either manifested vibranium, or she found $3billion worth of it in the ground. Maybe that’s what Vision built the foundation out of?
  12. Previously Hayward was tracking Vision’s location using the signature of vibranium decay. Does this mean that Wanda can also generate vibranium with her powers? Or is Westview sitting on a giant untapped vibranium source that will help the downtrodden town see better days?
  13. Maybe it's a continuity of Duggar pregnancy agreement. Society could crumble if we didn't have the promise of another Duggar on the way at all times.
  14. I'm not overly familiar with these cases, but it appears that in adulthood at least one of the children admitted to making it all up, because they wanted to give the detectives answers they wanted to hear. The fact that Dylan is standing by her statement 30 years later, tells me it isn't a story that Mia coached her on.
  15. But why did it look like she was controlling “Pietro” with her magic, unless the flash of magic we saw in the Agatha All Along sequence was her changing her accomplice’s appearance, which could be the case, I guess. Although, why give him X-Peter’s face and not ATJs?
  16. I think the only missing trailer scenes so far is Wanda still in her Claire Dunphy outfit meeting up with Vision to protect their home, and some mind stone sequence. Both are from Trailer 2. I think Trailer 1 and the mid-season trailer has already had all their scenes featured.
  17. I think it’s more of a wink to the comic costume, and not her legitimate superhero costume (yet.)
  18. So we saw in episode 7 that Agnes was controlling “Pietro” when he first arrived, which still leaves the door open to this being a snatched X-Peter. I wonder if Vision will be able to deprogram him to get him out of Agatha’s spell so we can find out who this guy really is.
  19. I just checked again, and it didn’t look like anyone we’ve seen before. I think it was just to show it was 1980s milk.
  20. Episode 7 credit music was obviously inspired by The Office, but there also seemed to be a wink at Happy Endings, which was another Russo Brothers sitcom.
  21. This episode seemed to dip more into the early-00's single camera comedies than 90's era sitcoms for this episode. I guess Zach Morris is a kid who talks to the camera, but this definitely was not a Saved by the Bell episode. There has to be some Disney/Nikelodeon era kid shows it was emulating too. Maybe Even Stevens or Lizzie McGuire? Still, those were early-00s shows. I'm guessing they're going to link their 2000's episode to the mockumentary genre, even though that pushed more into the 2010's, but maybe 2010's will be some sort of reboot or period family sitcom like Fresh Off the Boat or the Goldbergs.
  22. That's true. My only other thought is that maybe she was following him, and made the move to the edge of town when she saw how close he was getting? It's a stretch, but there's something off about Agnes that makes her seem different than the other trapped residents.
  23. Could X-Pietro have heard MCU Wanda calling for him, and as a result get shot like a chump, for no reason at all, and be smuggled into the Westview-verse?
  24. Who was also recast in the sequel. I know there have been mentions of Kat Dennings in 2 Broke Girls, but my first exposure to her was Raising Dad where she played Brie Larson's older sister (and Bob Saget was the dad!) I don't know if it's an Easter Egg, but Pietro is wearing cutoff shorts over his tights, which could be an Arrested Development never nude-reference. The Russo brothers, of course, being tight with that show. That's an early-00s sitcom though, but still falls within the single camera genre. 100% Malcolm in the Middle
  25. I'm curious. We know he's obviously not her Pietro, but either this Pietro was somehow shot (and captured?) to end up in Westview, or he's a plant who was told about how MCU Pietro died. He has Pietro's superspeed though, so that's either something Wanda can manifest in her dream world, even though she doesn't seem to have any control over him, another Marvel character can manifest, or it's really another version of Pietro.
