  1. I also hate to defend Jessa, but little kids love cardboard boxes. I don’t think I’ve ever looked back at childhood photos to admire the wrapping paper. My mom never really did the gift wrap stuff either, and I’ve never seen the appeal either. We wrap Christmas presents, because that’s a part of the suspense/chaos of Christmas morning. I’m sure when Ivy looks back at these pictures, she’ll remember how much she loves her pink helmet, and how that creepy doll lay a curse on their house and haunted them for years.
  2. Is that the group where they teach you to pull your phone away from your ear to shout at it mid-conversation? Kidding. Just saw that Glenn Howerton was in the same class, and I'm imagining Wes Ramsey on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia making the same acting choices.
  3. Willow was too busy ogling the baby to pay any real mind to Brooklyn (who is fast becoming a favorite of mine; her scenes talking to little BaileyLu today were adorable and I loved when she held the baby up for Maxie to see). Also it seems like this baby doesn't need to be fed, by breast feeding or formula. I think Valentin will put it together and get BL out of the hospital so she doesn't need to be examined by the doctor. What was Maxie's and BL's plan to get a birth certificate? Valentin will be able to handle that. This is where Bobbie or Britt should have still been in the story. If Bobbie or Britt were there to confirm they "delivered" Bailey, then no one would insist on Brooklyn being examined. Too bad they only touted Bobbie out for the "very special episode" and then dropped her from the story.
  4. Valentin is carrying around his own Peter guilt, so I can actually see him sympathizing with the rouse and maybe letting the Qs keep one share for a 50/50 split.
  5. If they kill off Peter, they'd either have to put Maxie in a coma or give her amnesia to carry on the BLQ baby snatching, and I don't know how they'd save Brooklynn from stealing Maxie's baby. Killing off Peter would actually propel Chase's story, because they'd assume it's a death sentence, and then Willow can pity marry him just in time for Finn to synthesize an antidote in the 11th hour. Still, I doubt we'll ever be done with Peter. He's not the charismatic anti-hero the showrunners think he is. Seriously, if the Soup were still on the air, Peter's "acting" would be a recurring segment.
  6. I think the problem with season 4 Dawson, was that they wrote themselves into a corner with season 3 Dawson, and didn't address how emotionally manipulative and cruel he was in the aftermath of Joey and Pacey. While Joey and Pacey wronged him, the show never gave Dawson any repercussions for reacting the way he did, aside from "losing the girl." That said, Joey and Pacey are flawed characters as well. Dawson isn't the one sabotaging their relationship, and I don't think it's played that way either. Joey's obsession with Dawson goes back as far as the Pilot when she tells Dawson "It's not that I wanted to be the one holding your hand, I just didn't want [Jen] to be holding it." She continues to hate all of Dawson's love interests regardless of her own relationship status. It's annoying. Joey is carrying a lot of trauma, and she values her relationship with Dawson above all others, especially in season 4, because they're still on shaky ground from the whole Pacey thing, and she's desperate not to mess it up. So while Dawson is totally chill in season 4, Joey's actions are based on his behavior in season 3. It doesn't make it Dawson's fault, it's a Joey issue, which the show failed to really acknowledge, because they were running with the belief that Dawson/Joey had a magical connection that would be "end game" and that Joey was perfect (wait until you get to season 5 and 6!) Pacey's insecurities and self doubt are only exacerbated by Joey's obsession with Dawson. He's very obviously depressed by the end of season 4, and I think the show missed a huge opportunity to explore Pacey's mental health issues, but Jen was in the middle of her own therapy story arc at the time. But yeah, Pacey needed to find worth in himself, rather than channeling all of his worth into his romatic relationships.
  7. Did they say the lighthouse was on the Atlantic coast? Because there are lighthouses on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario that wouldn’t be an insane drive to wherever Port Charles sits in relation to Buffalo. I mean still highly improbable, but at least within an hour-ish driving distance. The idea that he took back roads and then had time to park and get in position for the shootout is pretty ridiculous though. Under an hour’s notice barely gets me across town, let alone through Niagara Falls customs with a fake passport.
  8. The first title card showed up at the end of Monday’s episode, and today’s referenced 3 hours, so it’s pretty much happening in real time.
  9. I would say another version of Roger Howarth. His phoned in quirky performance is the worst version of Todd (and every other character he’s played throughout his career)
  10. The finale was great. They tapped into all the Mighty Ducks archetypes there. I didn’t even mind that all the D2 Ducks didn’t have OG uniforms, even though Tyler, Gafney, and Wu (and possibly more that I missed) were all out on the ice. It will be interesting how the team dynamics change next season. I’m sure they’ll have some of the no-longer-Ducks trying to join their team. Hope they do a season 2!
  11. I was excited by the prospect of RH being a doctor, since this show is about a hospital, but he really didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing. But since it’s RH, I’m not sure if it was just an acting choice... maybe he’s an agent sent by Frisco/Robert/Anna/Obrecht/literally any of the 10,000,000 people in the small town of Port Charles who are on Team Maxie
  12. How did the episode end? Mine cut to commercials right after Britt was remembering her sex scene. Carly was trying to stop Cyrus’s people.
  13. I have a feeling Maxie’s safe house is close to Jason and Britt’s safe house. Maybe there’s a safe house version of Airbnb.
  14. Michael continues to be the worst. Did he really believe that when Chase was apologizing for taking up Willow’s attention, he meant from Michael’s boner. Once again we’re reminded how worthless the character of Wiley is.
  15. I was a kid in the mid-90s and went to a lot of roller rink birthday parties. It was definitely over by the late-90s though. Dammit Jeanette’s brother! I was rooting for you!
  16. I still think they’re telegraphing a tragic death for Britt. There’s been too many “as long as I live” anvils, and her demise would give Jason something to brood about. I’d be shocked if she survived the summer. Maybe if Brason 2.0 is popular enough they’ll stretch her story into next year. I like KT, so I hope they change their minds and keep her around.
  17. I got it. Moderna Makeout. Yes, with more tomorrow.
  18. Is vaccinated love scene the new covid kiss? I can’t think of any alliteration but the Pfizer Fu—
  19. Do they just pull names out of a hat? Where’s William Lipton’s nomination?
  20. I could have sworn that either in a season 4 scene or maybe Dawson’s Desktop, they talked about working odd jobs at ports... or maybe it was a fanfic I read a million years ago.
  21. Does anyone else have a sudden craving for Honey Nut Cheerios?
  22. I just love that Joey had time to run home and change her clothes, but didn’t pack a backpack or something. She seemed pretty set that she was going to go with him, so it’s not like she JUST made the decision, unless she decided on the run there. And I know it’s not as cinematic to watch them make a quick stop at the B&B to grab some things as it is to watch them sail into the sunset, but it’s not like Pacey had to leave THAT SECOND.
  23. AND post a picture where Jill's knees are showing!
  24. Wasn't JD the only Duggar to put Smug in his wedding party post-2015 banishing? Even though it messed up TLCs filming? I just found that so strange, especially since he seemed to be really upset with Josh when Counting On started.
  25. Apparently the hearing only referred to "charges" but never stated what they were. He can't be around minors if he's released on bail though... Source
