  1. I’m enjoying the series. Great production, Michael Douglas is very good. Love that it is in English and French. plot is a little slow but I like the atmospherics enough that I don’t mind.
  2. I just binged watched the first 5 episodes - what a well done series about such a painful chapter. Saw the ending of 5 coming so it wasnt a shock.
  3. I binged watched yesterday. The Nazis are all over the top. The violence too. Little suspense when needed. All the WWII tropes appear. Younger actors and Hugh Laurie are very good. What was Ruffalo’s accent supposed to be? Apparently there’s a lot of characters that are left out, and it felt like it. Meh.
  4. I haven’t a clue, except that him looking the guy was for us the audience to notice and wonder for ourselves
  5. This episode showed what a good adaptation can do. Loved the William pieces - I now actually care about him, and getting Claire and Jamie to Ticonderoga quickly was a good move even though the actual fort and landscape looks nothing like their CG enhanced overhead shot. I’m more interested Brianna and Roger in the 1980s than in colonial times. One downside - there seemed to be more chemistry between William and Rachel than with Ian and Rachel.
  6. Minor brownie points for an unexpected ending but eh??? Who was the mob contact inside the Marshall’s office? I really liked the actress who played Bailey even though the character was unlikeable for so much of the series.
  7. The new season is here and they are in New Orleans this time. I’ve only watched the first two episodes, but I gotta say I am still moved by the makeovers. The Frat guys were open to changing, and Stephanie had one of the biggest transformations I’ve seen on the show.
  8. Mint Mobile ad featuring our hero!
  9. Ok, since we have a cliffhanger at the end of season 1, here are my thoughts: The plot turn on the PM was a surprise. The end of the episode is reminiscent of The West Wing’s season one cliffhanger, so my guess is that Ronnie will be seriously injured/dead, Stuart will have minor I injuries but major guilt, Hal will be unscathed and unrepentant. Kate will get PTSD recurrence. Who planted the bomb will be another plot line for season two, 1st half. Other thoughts?
  10. I constantly spill things on me so I really identify with that. But yogurt on black pants is still going to show.
  11. Omg the fight in the woods! Hilarious in so many ways. And fake-Biden Cursing is very funny.
  12. Completely hooked already, so many characters and terrific dialogue reminiscent of The West Wing.
  13. That’s closer to what really happened but I loved the drama in the episode.
  14. LOVED the opening on Rodeo Drive with a cast of folks in a “tourist” car and Tim’s final sarcastic reference to how “unscripted” it was showing the car and all the production. several designers in the hunt for the big win. I really liked “festival girl” and her outfits, especially the textures she created in the skirt with the scarves. Oh well! Seems like it’s going to be Brazil vs China based on these looks, but things can change.
  15. If you believe Wikipedia, no one from the Royal family ever visited them. Not even Margaret.
  16. The thing is, plenty of men would have loved the dance because it would have made them more attractive because this gorgeous woman was dancing for him. But Charles was too jealous to understand that she was sharing per popularity with him and not against him. The anniversary gift - wow they got Andrew Lloyd Webber’s permission to use a song from Phantom! I can imagine the original version was sung more badly than what we saw because it is not easy to sing Christine.
  17. I rewound to be sure I had seen correctly. Laughed and laughed!
  18. I’m pretty into the show- the writing is good and so is the acting. Not sure I’ll pay to see it though.
  19. I’m prettt sure that dental visit required some reality TV magic because no way is a dentist going to do a major procedure on a brand new patient on the first visit. But I was really touched that she got a new smile! I hope that the new outdoor seating hasnt gotten stolen, since they mentioned that their sign had been previously stolen.
  20. This was Edward, wasn't it? Andrew was born in a previous episode I think. - Just checked, yep, Edward.
  21. This. And I like this actor a lot ordinarily. Kennedy is one of those famous people that have not yet been captured- i never believe any of the actors. Whereas I’ve seen a few very good Churchill’s.
  22. Yeah, there wasn't enough happening in the studio to catch my attention. Loved the MacMillans' story, I'm sure there's more to come!
  23. God those twins - talk about not taking responsibility-nobody buying their crap. Amy was a little too invested in them coming clean. Karma will take care of things.
  24. Gosh, i didn't know it's going to be a kids format. My oops!
  25. When I looked at the list of performers before last night's show I thought to myself - "gee, that's a lot of women celebs left." DE took care of that! Thanks, DWTS, for making sure mediocre men live to dance next week! Well, Maks got his wish and was eliminated. I'm so over him and his drama, and I think the show is as well. Haven't heard a peep from him in the past couple of weeks. No "farewell" on the show, and hopefully he can be his son's caregiver while Peta does the show in the spring.
