  1. The almost kiss, so soon after Tate met Holly, was really a bad writing choice. In fact, that entire scene reminded me of commercials that show up on local stations to warn teens against dangers of drugs.
  2. They could have gotten her a nicer wig. I did notice she was mimicking original Theresa's vocal cadence and tone, and that may have made her a bit more tentative in her acting.
  3. Although I don't have a lot of sympathy for Gwen, I found Leo's reasons for betraying his "best friend" really lame. Are we supposed to root for him and Dmitri as a couple? I don't find Leo a sympathetic character or his actions defensible.
  4. Good thing I’m not a Jeopardy judge. I wouldn’t have allowed “Too many cooks spoil the stew” as an answer.
  5. https://www.facebook.com/100063862819898/posts/pfbid0m2Zd3yDKDhGrcYET5hgwow8fYZqXEskUWiYKVnUp8DfgYVG1A4ZtMkfYiXDBN9CKl/?mibextid=cr9u03 Just posted on Facebook.
  6. Just saw posted on Facebook there will be a season 4.
  7. I started to think there was a double switch and Loretta had done it after all until Cliff tried to throw himself out of the trap over center stage. Speaking of "double switch": season 4 can't get here fast enough.
  8. Amos reminded me of Aaron Neville. The lamb was adorable.
  9. Beaver defense was overwhelming tonight and took down the Utes 21-7. I think the defense started to feel a little sorry for the Utes' QB towards the end. Coach Smith's signal to milk the clock is going to go viral.
  10. As a fan of early Supernatural, I chuckled at Charles' offering up his solitary tear as an acting triumph. Jensen Ackles (Dean) was heralded as the king of one tear acting.
  11. I liked the direction that made it seem like the trio were watching a play while the interviews were playing. Very nice. Is there any way that we'll find out that Ben was Loretta's son after all? The director had a Ben-esque look to him. It would give Meryl Streep a big acting moment to take to next year's Emmys if Loretta learned she'd been supporting the wrong brother. I think I need to look back at the first episode to see if I missed something that might have been a misdirect all along.
  12. Exactly right, kathyk2. If FOX and ESPN can keep all eyes on something shiny, then their part in the demolition of the PAC 12 won't get the attention it deserves. If Oregon State and Washington State go to court to protect what remains of the PAC 12 and its assets, ESPN and FOX may have some explaining to do.
  13. I don't remember Xander's history. Did someone significant raise him as a son? I'm still holding out hope that Teresa changed names on the letter.
  14. Even though I am a die-hard Oregon State fan, I knew the Ducks would completely dominate Colorado. I expect USC will do the same next week. The media's laser focus on Colorado is good for the sports networks looking for casual viewers who won't remember (or care) that Oregon won on Saturday. It's all about the money. I did find it a bit ironic, though, that Dan Lanning said the Ducks were "...rooted in substance, not flash...". Teams who buy billboards for their starting QB and have 384 possible uniform combinations can't really claim the humble mantle.
  15. The actress playing Wendy has completely changed her acting style since she was first cast on the show. I wonder if she's been getting advice from the Camila Banus (Gabi) because that's who she reminds me of recently.
  16. On second watch and noticed something I'd overlooked. During the conversation between Mabel and Loretta, Mabel says, "Killers sometimes insert themselves into investigations". I thought it was a pointed comment pushing back on Loretta's nosiness...but maybe it's also foreshadowing someone that Mabel is overlooking, who also inserted himself into the investigation: Tobert.
  17. Isn't Rachel about the same age as Tate and Holly? I think I remember they were all Trick or Treating last year together.
  18. https://www.oregonlive.com/collegefootball/2023/09/pac-12-chaos-judge-sides-with-wsu-and-osu-brings-board-business-to-temporary-halt.html An update on the Pac 2. This article is probably behind a pay wall, but it offers a really good overview of today's legal proceedings. https://www.johncanzano.com/p/canzano-another-win-for-oregon-state?r=1hd9uv&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I understand grunting when hitting the ball, but Sabalenka doesn't do just that. She whines for an extended period of time, completely muffling any sound the ball might make. Her whining was more pronounced when her game was in jeopardy. I guess elite athletes have much better focus than the average viewer, but it seems like she uses vocalization as a weapon, and it doesn't seem fair.

    Sabalenka's noise making is ridiculous.
  21. Beavers looking good at the half. Still think a Sunday game really weird, but at least they're on CBS rather than PAC 12(2) at Night.
  22. Why didn't Oliver go to an emergency dentist to get the tooth fixed that evening? There are emergency dentists in rural Oregon, certainly he could find one in Manhattan. Maybe instead of Ben's mother, Loretta child is Ben's brother who strangely went out of his way to land her a big tv audition. Maybe keeping clippings of Ben helped Loretta keep up with her son. I'm a little worried that Charles will end up a suspect. Why are they showing his strange black out moments and confirming he had a fight with Ben that caused the red mark?
