  1. This commercial is more enjoyable because the actors are real brothers.
  2. They're not very subtle with the want-to-be mayor character. He has the politician smirk down pat. It's obvious he's BAD with a capital B. I think they're also hinting the reason he dislikes Abe, Paulina, and Chanel is because he's a little bit racist. I wish his villainy was a little less obvious .
  3. It reminded me a little of a song from the Jekyl and Hyde musical.
  4. Brady was in love with Kristin; he doesn't really have the moral high ground to give her a hard time about Xander. re I am tired of Gabi and Stefan. Why can't they just enjoy one another and quit being so self-righteous.
  5. Whoops. Note to self: check the forum title before posting.
  6. Did they delay the runway because of lightning? I thought some time elapsed between final looks and the actual runway.
  7. As long as FOX and ESPN control college football, re-alignment is going to continue happening to every remaining conference whenever media rights are renewed. Small market schools are going to pay the price because they don't bring the big bucks to Fox or ESPN.
  8. I always wonder if the producers tell the islanders to drop a lot of F bombs. Even Bergie has done it a few times. It seems really forced, done to up the edginess. "We're not on basic cable anymore, viewers". I also think it's interesting that the new girls aren't as frequent with the F bombs (if they've said any at all). It's funny the girls were so angry at the boys for exploring their options, but the minute Harrison enters, all that outrage is overcome by their fascination for the new guy.
  9. No Emmy nomination for Ghosts. What a surprise. 🙄
  10. Were the chairs Megan tied Kristen and EJ to bolted to the floor? I kept wondering why they didn't just scoot the chairs together and untie each other's hands. Wendy's character has really changed since she first came to Salem. At first, she seemed competent and more interested in computers than her clothes. I miss that Wendy. I'm beginning to wonder if Megan drugged Li off stage. He's just so flat in everything he does...robotic.
  11. Does anyone else think it's exploitative for Days to bring back all of the Black characters today? I hope the visiting actors got more than a one day gig.
  12. I bought the movie on Amazon Prime last night and really enjoyed it. Such a sweet movie with an absolutely terrific cast. I hope its early availability doesn't mean it's doing poorly in theaters. I'm glad other people noted the adhesive pad/belt conundrum. I was wondering if maybe rural Oregon didn't get the new menstruation technology in the early 70s like East coast teens. I hope a few of these performances are remembered at Oscar time, but it's going to be hard for the academy to remember such a gem of a movie next January/February when nominations happen.
  13. Has anyone else noticed a change in Camila Banus and Brandon Barash's acting styles. They seem so over the top in their scenes but shallow and surface level in their emotions.
  14. Funny family story. I shared the first season of Ted Lasso with my visiting nephew. During Ted's 'practice' monologue, he started laughing, and I had no clue why he thought it was so funny. I think that scene may have made him a Ted Lasso fan.
  15. If you compare the original celebratory dance in the pilot with the one after the big win, it is noticeably less enthusiastic.
  16. What is this lovely song telling us about the end of Ted Lasso? Is there any hope for another season with the "We will see you here, Same time, same place, next year" lyric? Was this song only released this week when episode 11 dropped? It really resonated, like I'd been hearing it for years over other evocative cinematic moments. "Fought & Lost" (feat. Brian May) Congratulations on your jubilation Our hearts are breaking underneath all the applause This devastation is of our own making But we've never tasted this much bitterness before And everybody falls But some of us are born to fight, and fight, and fight some more So, we will see you here Same time, same place, next year And you may win this battle but you'll never win the war Better to have fought and lost than never fought at all Go take a bow Your audience is waiting We'll take the shadows since the limelight isn't ours We wanted it so bad Gave it all we had Oh, but wanting, it doesn't always make it yours This time was ours to lose But fortune favours those who ride the storm and make it through So, we will see you here Same time, same place, next year And you can take this battle 'cause we're gonna win the war Better to have fought and lost than never fought at all So, here on the same ground When the tables have turned around Oh, and your tears fall as your world is crashing down I hope, when you see me You remember that feeling Oh, 'cause we've both seen the world from both sides now And everybody falls And life will tear you down to show you what's worth fighting for Oh, we will see you here Same time, same place, next year And you may win this battle but you'll never win the war Better to have fought and lost than never fought at all Better to have fought and lost than never fought at all
  17. I haven't watched Succession, but I've been wondering if the writers have (since it's incredibly popular and features corporate siblings feuding over business dealings.)
  18. Have you watched She Loves Me? It’s based on The Shop Around the Corner. It’s one of my favorite musicals. I’m not bothered by Nate’s forgiveness tour. I figure Ted forgave him months ago…probably right after the Believe sign was ripped in two. I’m really disappointed the writers let us see Dani’s dark side. Maybe the writers wanted to showcase his range for potential projects. Now I’m worried about his future appearance in Acapulco later this year.
  19. I’m wondering if Rupert punishes Nate by making the owner of A Taste of Greece an offer he can’t refuse…buys out and closes the restaurant.
  20. I know a lot of people are concerned that Ted could get back with Michelle at the end of the series. Maybe show is setting up a different conclusion. Michelle realizes she is not interested in Dr. Jake and shows up under Ted's window with a boom box begging Ted to take her back. Although momentarily thrilled at the prospect, Ted realizes, finally, that he has moved on from his failed marriage. He calls Sassy Smurf. Show concludes with Sassy and Ted enjoying a dinner date at the kabob shop.
  21. I think Jamie may “parent trap” Roy and Keely.
  22. Has the music over the closing credits ever been significant before? This is the English version of the song Come Softly, Darling for everyone not fluent in French like Rebecca.
  23. Oooh, Roy hasn't really talked with the DDs about his break up with Keely. Maybe after his horrible reaction/question to her in this episode, he will finally talk with the guys and have some sort of break through.
