  1. Earlier in the episode they focused on the guy not having a cufflink - they lingered on the shot of that, which made it obvious it was important. Murder she Wrote used to do that back in the day. Anyway, the same cufflink fell out of wife's purse (I think) and Laura put 2 and 2 together. If this show gets a 3rd season, I hope they just put Jake/Laura together and be done with it. It's weighing down the show now and it's the lesser of 2 evils. And I hope they actually address them being partners/lovers and don't just do it on the DL like Meredith/Billy. Having 2 sets of that in the same precinct would be too much.
  2. I really didn't like this episode - I think it's the first time that has happened. I just thought both Diane and Dre were awful, awful people in this episode. Dre was just mean to Zoey and I kept expecting some heartfelt moment between them but they just resorted to her sassing him in another language. He did come around in the end, but I thought it was too over the top. And Diane was trying to smother her brother and Jack is the one that has to leave? Diane wanted to separation, so she should move out. And there is no way Bow would let Jack sleep in the closet. She would've set up a cot or something in the room. Even though it made for funny TV, it just seemed out of character. I'm in the minority that Jennifer Lewis doesn't bother me too much. I enjoy Ruby's crazy talk in small doses.
  3. This is the first episode I actually kind of liked Vanessa. When she is not over-the-top, she doesn't bug. I agree with others who say this show has stagnated. They need to find a way to develop everyone without actually compromising who they are. It's been done a million times before, so I know they can do it.
  4. It's hard for me to watch the lead character, partially because she is not great, but also because anytime anyone says "Clary", I flashback to Steel Magnolias (yes, I'm dating myself). Loved the Magnus/Alec scene. I would totally watch a spinoff of their adventures.
  5. ABC just announced a new President. This could be bad news for Galavant since new people like to clean house. Let's keep our fingers crossed we get to see Gareth and Sid on an adventure to save the evil queen.
  6. Maybe it's my long-term soft spot/crush for Fred Savage, but I am starting to hate Dean. Not even for what he does - he is who he is - but that everyone seems to worship him and every thing he says is bronzed and put on a pedestal. Even Deb has started to drink the Kool-Aid. Stewart can be a Debbie Downer, but he is usually does speak the truth. I want them to have a better balance between the 2 so that maybe Stewart gets a win once in a while. Back to the episode, maybe I'm off base, but I don't trust Maya's character. She crossed the line with that kiss so maybe she is secretly evil and wants to destroy Dean and his family. Maybe even having something to do with the malpractice case. I hope so, because she is a terrible therapist.
  7. I like they got Glenn Close back to voice hallucination ghost Mona. I liked the old folks plot better than Frink, although it was nice to see him get something to do. Also loved the Ex-Machina reference.
  8. I do think Kevin Smith is having a good time on the show and he genuinely laughs at the other contestants. My issue is more the hero worship he gets - this is actually true of all the big names when they come on. I was actually surprised he got eliminated. Thought Hardwick would pull a save.
  9. I like this show. But I feel every episode is like a reset and any advancement Jimmy makes is forgotten in the next one. Not that I need him to be domesticated but I want a bit more balance between grandpa Jimmy and rascal Jimmy. He seems to be like Jekyl and Hyde. On a shallow note I thought the chef guy who was with them at the spa and didn't have any real lines was cute. I'd like to see more of him.
  10. I need a Season 3 for this because I am trilogy minded and I feel they could really wrap it all up with one more season. Unite the kingdoms and bring down Madalena for good. Plus, I reallllllly want to see Gareth and Sid on a quest together. Echo those that said Galavant was a bit side-lined this season; but I do need him to trim the beard a bit. And I know it would blow the budget, but to see Richard flying on Tad Cooper would rock. As far as specifics this episode, I loved Madalena's leather warrior outfit. She has really transformed from damsel in distress to hardcore bitch. I love it.
  11. Was Isabella even in this episode? I missed her cause she has good one liners. But, it was good to get some development on Roxi. Javi's lip-syncing was awful but the scene was good. I'm sure James will pop up (schedule permitting) just when Ana gets into a new relationship (or rekindles things with Javi). But, my favorite part of the show is the chemistry between the 3 friends (Ana, Mimi and Gael). I love their conversations. This show is fun. It looks like everyone just enjoys being there and I hope it lasts.
  12. Yeah, I like her, but Paula seems to have taken on the friend role (how did she get to the beach so quick???) and they kind of threw her into Greg's orbit. Still it's early and hopefully we have time to develop her. I actually like Valencia. She's a good foil for Rebecca when she's not super evil and she puts her in her place, because let's face it, Rebecca is very, very quirky. And I want to like Greg, but he needs to be toned down a bit. I always find myself rooting for the other person in his arguments. I realize these characters are extremes, but it makes me hard to like anyone. Except White Josh. He can be there anytime (and preferably shirtless).
  13. Did anyone see that the McKinley Lighthouse was mentioned on the show Telenovela this week? There was a hurricane and the news mentioned it had been destroyed - again! The show is set in Miami, so I thought that was a cool nod to out beloved GGs.
  14. Here is the dialog in the game: Lisa: You look a little…older that I remember. Jay: Yeah, doing a full course load at Wharton while mopping floors in a bank all night will do that to a kid. Lisa: Hmmmm…nobody around here ever seems to age. Comic Book Guy: I credit clean living. And yes, I said that without a trace of self-reflective irony. I too remember little Jay pulling the gun, so it was cool to see him. Everytime I hear Manjula talk, it makes me sad Jan Hooks is no longer around to voice her.
  15. [chandler bing] Could Gael's pants be any tighter? [/chandler bing]. Not a complaint mind you. This show is so fun. I always laugh out loud. I want to see more Isabela - she is funny. "One rule: Don't fall in love with me"
  16. Maybe it's an on-going civil suit for shooting Mr. Burns? I loved the couch gag and I agree I wish they spent as much time coming up with plots. I did not enjoy this episode much.
  17. I think Xavi is gorgeous, but I just can't get into his character. He feels like an outsider and I know that's part of the plot but he doesn't fit in to me and I'd much rather see the other characters get plots and stories. I do love the BFF Circle. Gael is a great character (and super hot too) so I hope he continues to shine. And I know I keep sounding superficial, but Zachary Levi was looking hot too especially when he was wet at the end.
  18. Yeah I don't get Doug Benson either. I don't hate him or anything, but I don't need him for a whole week. I know he's a pothead but I wonder if he acts super stoned for effect. He does come up with some clever things but I am glad he didn't win (Day 1 at least). Don't know much about Jonah Ray, but I do like him.
  19. Chiming in to say I really enjoyed this show. The first episode more than the second, but overall it was just silly fun. Like if they took the Wilhemina portion of Ugly Betty and made that a sitcom. And at the end of the first episode when Eva was walking in that green dress, it reminded me of a promo from Desperate Housewives (not to mention Eva hasn't aged a day). Gael (the cop) is super hot and I appreciate the shirtlessness. I'm not sold on Javi - he doesn't seem to really fit in but I'll give him time. Oh, and I laughed a lot at the opening with everyone being blown away by the wind.
  20. I guess this episode was switched with the other one since that was about guns and hate crimes. I know I have to let it go, but I will never understand why human women sleep with Brian, a dog. It's just weird, which was especially apparent in this episode where he switched from dog to "human". The Joe plot was pretty good. I like it when Peter actually acts like a friend/husband/father and not like a complete amoral brain-dead a-hole.
  21. I was excited about Lisa's mystery quest and wish it had gotten more screen time. It kind of reminded me of the episode Homer was trying to be an inventor and they found that new invention at Thomas Edison's house. Bart's story was interesting too. I almost wish these had been split up and given the A-plot in separate episodes because I felt both got the short shrift.
  22. I think she's a social worker, which I can't imagine would pay for that swanky house. I chalk it up to the sitcom cliche of people living above their means. I don't think we have but it does have an outside entrance. It's probably more of an apartment attached to the house. But then again maybe mommy has really loud sex with the windows open.
  23. I think that's a bit of retconning. Maybe he knew Wanda but hadn't really interacted with her much. I guess Boss' world just got turned upside down because he was used to the status quo. He seems like a guy who hates and fears change. I like Wanda Sykes in small doses and hope she's here only for an arc or just pops up sporadically because I do felt she threw the balance of the show off. Dre's workplace is totally unrealistic and exaggerated but the balance there worked.
  24. I give up trying to figure out who the killer is. Assuming there is not yet another accomplice and it is indeed the tub baby, all the Chanels are in the clear after the mall attack. Zayday's clear because the kidnapping thing would make no sense otherwise. Dean and Daddy are clear cause they aren't the tub baby. Chad just doesn't work on so many levels. Which leaves Pete and Grace as the only "regulars" it could be. So, it's either them or a random character from the past. Personally, I would love Candle Girl to have faked her death. Or maybe it was Chanel's predecessor. We did see the Red Devil present in her attack and maybe it was a setup. As for this episode, I thought it was mostly filler. The pool scene would've been better if the Dean was actually a serious candidate as the murderer. I have a feeling I'm gonna be disappointed at the resolution next week. Which considering who is behind this show, should not be a surprise.
  25. My big moment was Greg's mom was played by Hope from Thirtysomething. Love random 80s actors popping up on shows. And she was good. I hope we see her again. I wished they had gotten Ken Olin to play the stepdad. The Christmas song was silly and fluff but a good way to end the first batch of episodes. I loved that we got the cast together for a song. I would've liked to see the little boy from the bar there too but overall I enjoyed it.
