  1. LOL! I feel the same way Cas; the writers have been doing you a disservice for a long time!
  2. Favorite: Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things; Least Favorite: American Nightmare Phantom Traveler: Dean made his own EMF reader! I loved his proud grin when he told Sam that it was homemade. I don't rewatch alot of the really early episodes but it's amazing to see that there was a point when demons were basically uncharted territory for them. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things: I really like this episode. Dean was just coming apart at the seams as they got deeper into the case and you really feel his pain when you realize that it's because he's figured out what John did for him and how it's just eating away at him. Jensen gave us some great moments here. Best line: "It's your grief counselors; we've come to hug." Sin City: I liked Dean's rapport with Casey and the first crack in Dean's bravado when she asks if he's scared to go to hell. The rest of the episode was meh for me. Metamorphosis: I'd been waiting for the fallout from Sam working with Ruby behind Dean's back and I wasn't disappointed. The confrontation in the motel was a great scene and Dean's rage and disappointment was completely understandable IMO. The first episode when Castiel is referred to as Cas! The End: This was another good episode and both Jensen and Jared were amazing. Also the conversation over the phone between Dean and Cas will never not be funny: "This isn't funny, Dean! The voice says I'm almost out of minutes!" Weekend at Bobby's: A Dean lite episode but I love seeing Bobby and Rufus together so it was very enjoyable not to mention some good stuff from Crowley. I didn't like the out of character behavior from Dean though; he would never call Bobby selfish just because he didn't have time to talk to him. I know it was to showcase how put upon Bobby was at everything he was juggling at the time but I still didn't like it. Defending Your Life: I wasn't a fan of this episode. It was good for Dean to get the weight of Jo's death off of his conscience but everything else was easily forgettable. Bitten: Bored me; didn't rewatch after the first viewing. Slumber Party: Aside from the scenes with Crowley this bored me also. I wish we could have had an episode like this with Kevin instead of Charlie especially since he actually lived in the bunker. Paper Moon: I would have preferred that the first post demon Dean ep deal with the aftermath of everything that happened while he was a demon. This felt like filler even though it had some nice brother moments. Baby: I loved all of the scenes with Sam and Dean just sitting in the car talking. It's so rare to get good brother moments that aren't riddled with angst. The fight with the werepire while Cas droned on in the background was good stuff also; I love Jensen's fight scenes. American Nightmare: This was beyond Dean lite; nothing much to say.
  3. Carver and Singer both sound pretty douchey. I think I'll continue not watching convention footage.
  4. He seriously said that Dean was boring? Wow.. I never heard about that but then again I don't usually watch any of the Comic Con footage.
  5. This scene along with the amusing ballwasher exchange between Dean and Sam were good moments in that ep.
  6. And Joshua in season 12 even though he was in a different vessel.
  7. I completely agree. I don't knock anyone that ships Destiel if they interpret their interactions as romantic but personally I've never seen it that way.
  8. I just thought of another one: the end of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. After he's been closed off for the duration of the case and his confession that he's been feeling off kilter because there was something unnatural about his swift recovery and John's sudden death. That was a really good scene.
  9. What always gets me is All Hell Breaks Loose 2 in the immediate aftermath of Sam's death. Jensen is amazing at showing Dean's grief, anger and desperation in the bedside scene.
  10. I really love this post because it's how I feel about the characters. Like you stated I absolutely love Dean but I enjoy Sam and it's possible to like both characters. I don't get pointing out the flaws of one character while pretending that the other is without flaw or acting as if one character is the source of all misery for the other. The writing for Dean may frustrate me at times but as @MysteryGuest said I don't understand viewers that watch when they hate one of the main characters; I wouldn't be able to watch if I did.
  11. I admit that no one can be completely unbiased but my original post was more along the lines of how it's frustrating to try to offer an opinion on both sides of the argument but the person that you are communicating with hates one of the characters so much that it's pointless to even engage them in discussion. I should have worded it better instead of saying unbiased.
  12. Are you forgetting that I also stated more than once that I like both brothers or just choosing not to mention it? Having a preference for one doesn't translate to having blinders when your favorite acts shitty.
  13. Yes IMO. I'm more or less speaking as a fan that likes both brothers and looks at both sides of the argument instead of whatever will make their fave look better.
  14. Sorry if you perceived it that way. Never said that they were; just that as a result I didn't remember this particular post which is why I stated " did I say that there was".
  15. Huh, so I did. There has been alot said on this forum within the last few hours that have been upsetting for me so my memory of previous posts didn't immediately jump to mind. Further, I see that my statement was precluded by "I don't think" which means that it's just my take on events. Also, I know perfectly well what the definition of a statement is. I don't think that the sarcasm is necessary to make your point. If that's not how you meant it then my bad.
  16. That's an interesting idea; orphans such as Jesse the antichrist?
  17. This along with Dean calling Cas to get his opinion of the angel offering help is why I don't hold it against Dean too much for allowing the possession. My disappointment came in when he didn't tell Sam about the possession when his conscious seemed to be telling him to do so but I'm at a loss of how he could have done so when Gadreel was threatening to leave Sam high and dry.
  18. Thank you! I think violation is a much better descriptor! I'm sorry if it seems as though I'm up on my soapbox; I'm not trying to be combative.
