  1. I agree it was pretty boring and it didn't interest me enough to actively like or dislike it. I did enjoy the actor that played Osiris in Iron Man so it was nice to see him here. The bolded part of your post would have been a much more interesting premise for season 12 than the dreck that we got. BMOL & American hunters banding together when the monsters organize and fight back!
  2. True indeed. Sam has shown that he's perfectly capable of standing up for himself and he has had no trouble stating when he was pissed at Dean or when he felt that he crossed a line. He's not fragile and Dean isn't his jailer.
  3. Even so it was still out of character IMO. It would have been more in line with his character to have talked with Mary about how hunting isn't as black & white as it may have been when she was a young hunter. Sure she's his mother and he wants to have a connection with her but he's also the one that said that their job wasn't to kill all supernatural beings but to kill evil.
  4. It wasn't so much the yearning for a normal life that I found to be out of character but him not trying to find out what happened to Dean. And this coming from a guy that knew that his brother was dead and in hell just a few years prior and still tried to find a way to get him back. That being said even if there was some BS agreement in place to not look for each other his complete blow off of Kevin was very out of character.
  5. Like I said it was just bad writing. Was he done with hunting because he felt helpless with his brother and Castiel disappearing into the unknown and not having a clue how to get them back? Or was it because he felt that he had done enough and the world would continue to turn if another hunter picked up the slack? Or was it truly to honor a pact that he had with Dean (that had never been mentioned before!!) that they wouldn't look if the other was thought dead and starting a normal life? I know it's all up to ones interpretation but when you make a character so wildly ooc just to create drama it's supremely annoying. Season 8 was largely a sucky season even though I enjoyed the Purgatory flashbacks and Benny.
  6. Honestly, I found this odd as well. Sam up to that point in the episode had stated that he no longer hunted and seemed pretty comfortable with that stance. If he was truly out he wouldn't have even cared enough to search for supernatural events even if he passed them along to another hunter. Although if he just happened to come across an oddball news article that screamed supernatural occurrence and was unable to ignore it that would be something different. I don't know; bad writing maybe? Edit: or what @catrox14 said. True indeed! I'd completely forgotten about that.
  7. And she drew him in an actual gown :)
  8. And also, "Cas is back, back...back again...."
  9. So did I along with Sam's huge "visions" eyes and "feels!" :)
  10. These are hilarious! Thank you for posting them! :)
  11. *Warning--gushing ahead* I love this show. With my all encompassing love for The X-FIles I never thought that another show would reach the same levels of adoration but I was pleasantly blown away by Supernatural. I love the brothers and their angsty, flawed, loving, co-dependent and immensely entertaining relationship. I fell in love with the Winchesters upon first viewing and later with Castiel as well. Dean Winchester is neck in neck with Fox Mulder as my all time favorite character. Even though the writing for the characters may disappoint this viewer at times I am never disappointed with the awesomeness that Jensen, Jared and Misha consistently bring to the table.
  12. I thought that there were a lot of gems in season 10; it's actually my favorite after season 2 because: After Dean was cured from being a demon; how were they going to remove the Mark? Rowena is introduced! Her interactions with Crowley were gold. Cas gets his grace back and makes Metatron human Bobby's Heaven! The Prisoner and Book of the Damned were great badass Dean eps I do wish that they would have featured the Stynes a bit longer; they were truly creepy villains especially Jacob. Charlie's death, Cole and the quick resolution of demon Dean were the only low points for me.
  13. While I am of the opinion that it wouldn't have made sense for Sam to have kept the amulet after it was tossed I agree with this viewpoint. Considering Dean's emotional state when he threw it away I feel that bringing it out while he was completely under the thrall of the MOC would more than likely have upset him rather than evoke fond memories of his relationship with Sam.
  14. Even though it's not SPN related I have to chime in to say "Yay! Turk and JD made the list!" :)
  15. Interesting question! It makes you wonder if when we're shown the Purgatory flashbacks during season 8 if the monsters were running amok and attacking each other because Mother of All wasn't there to keep them in check.
  16. This was a really interesting interview. Thanks so much for taking the time to post it Catrox14!
  17. Wow..get out of my head! The same thing ran through my mind as well! I'm not a Destiel shipper but I have read a fic or two just to see if I could get into it. Then again I'm guilty of reading Dean slashed with damn near everyone on the show ?
  18. I loved how blatant she was about her interest! And let's not forget Mildred from Into the Mystic :)
  19. Damn, how did I forget to include that?? That was very nice.
  20. I didn't actually see it as Cas being smug. I just saw it as him taking Sam too literally when he said he was terrible at lying. But that's IMO and I don't think that it took away from his remorse for prior acts.
  21. *snicker* "You're a terrible liar." " That is not true! I once deceived and betrayed both you and your brother!" It's hilarious how indignant he is about it :)
