  1. Call me crazy, but Brandon's look was actually adorable. And I liked Kentaro's and Ayana's, too. I'm not convinced Kenya's was great, but holy hell...Margarita's is a joke up there!
  2. That dress Margarita made is hideous!! And the coat is a throwaway. She'd have been better off with her first look. Kentaro's looks luxurious, yet dingy.
  3. Watching Sasha and Gleb tonight, I noticed how little of the floor they actually use. She spins and sways, slides and sways, smiles and sways. And most of her dances have been this way, so it's no surprise to me that she's gone already. Frankie, Jordan, and Drew make me smile. I don't give a fig about any of the rest...well, Terrell is fine. I can't connect with Lindsey at all, nor any of the women this year.
  4. You know, I'm not naive enough to believe that reality competition shows are **actually** reality-based, but this goes too far, in my opinion. Allowing...or perhaps even requesting...contestants to boldly and blatantly cheat, copy from other designers, etc., in order to create a storyline is beyond manipulating the editing to make someone the hero and someone else the villian. Knowing that this has been an issue since the beginning, and it being ignored because STORY! leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
  5. Only my favorite movie ever, and Thelma Ritter delivered some of the best zingers in cinematic history.
  6. To be honest, I'm getting more than a little tired of the show turning into Project Cliffhanger. Amy''s rise above it attitude and the flow and back of Kentaro''s gown were the only positive things about this episode.
  7. I thought that happened when Gretchen, ivy, etc. ganged up on Michael Costello.
  8. I'm sad to see Marcel lose another competition. I can't help it, I really like the guy. Has he ever won a competition? At least Alex is still around.
  9. LOL...I have an acquaintance, born and raised in California, now living in the Midwest, who told me last week about the time she "blew a tranny". I turned purple and asked her WTF she meant...she was talking about the transmission in her truck going out. I had to explain to her that tranny was an offensive term for a person and that blowing one meant something completely different! She literally had no idea.
  10. I can't say I'm wild about him as a designer, but Lord, is he nice to look at!
  11. Margaritas and Kudzanai are pretty easy on the eyes, too.
  12. I'm one of them. Between that and his disdain for Swapnil, running to tell the judges he didn't have what Tim considered a good work ethic, I think Tim's a pretentious phony.
  13. When Cory was knocked out at third place, the suspense was over. I couldn't see Rusty winning, after doing as poorly as he did in so many challenges. And I'm not sorry to see Jason win. I like him, even if many here don't. Cory actually had the best pilot, I thought.
  14. In real life, I am a nice, empathetic person, but I cackled like a cartoon witch when Matthew was cut. I honestly believe he is better than Rusty, but I'm sure they couldn't risk him doing a better pilot than Cory or Jason. So may as well cut Matthew now, because let's get real...Rusty seems like a great guy, but not a great Food Network Star so he's not likely to beat the other two. Matthew might have. LOL...I unapologetically love Jason, but that made me laugh!
  15. I really think this has been Jason's to lose since day one, so Corey leaving is no surprise to me. And I may be in the minority, but I like Jason. I don't even mind his "Lord, honey, hush my mouth"-isms...there ARE still Southerners who talk that way, and I'm friends with several of them, so I'm kind of used to it.
  16. I'll proudly say that I love Ann Burrell, including her ridiculous hair.
  17. Well, Shayna was a real piece of work! Not one expression of remorse at any point in time. She's actually scary, and I sure hope she gets another conviction with a much stiffer sentence. She should never be out of prison again. I've rarely felt such a visceral reaction to someone on one of these shows before, but I see nothing about her that is redeemable in any way. Ryan and that whole family were great looking. Wow.
  18. YES!! Oh, that case bothered me so much!! Those men were so clearly innocent, and yet they each spent 20-plus years in prison. I cried when they were released AND exonerated. Nothing can ever make up for what they were forced to endure, but I'd love to see them get a nice little chunk of change from the city/state where they live!
  19. This all shoulda-coulda-woulda been better written and planned by anyone willing to put in a little effort. Spencer/Alex could have been switched at the dollhouse by Charlotte, setting all of this in motion long before this season. (This is when IMK claims they decided to give Spencer a twin.) When Ali begged her friends to come back and help get Charlotte released, "Spencer" (actually Alex) could have been the first to agree to help, making the others wonder why, and yet think nothing much of it. Two seasons of Spencer being a bit off, possibly to the point of Veronica wondering if she might not need to be recommitted could have followed before things began to fall into place, with a scene of RealSpencer locked up somewhere...hospital, another dollhouse, etc. Spencer and Alex could have been adopted by different people without having to go to the Jessica/Mary/Peter Hastings story, which was stupid. There could have been a lot less exposition. Things could have been better explained than "Alex wants Spencer's friends and boyfriend". Spencer's time in Radley could have genuinely cracked her and she set up the whole switch with Alex, having learned about her from Wren or Cece. They could have had ONE of the girls not end up with their high school romances. (I vote for Aria.) They could have gone back to the fact that Ezra is, in fact, a creep and let him be A.D. Anything but what they did. Sloppy.
  20. I really want a PLL:The Next Generation movie, starring Shay, Sasha, and Tammin as teachers at Rosewood High. I want it because when Emily gets on her sanctimonious high horse and Ali acts appalled that teenaged girls can be so cruel, I want Addison and her minions to point out to them that they are completely delusional and full of crap. Then I want the girls to torment Ali and Emily while blind-but-all-seeing Jenna takes it all in, until she calls in Paige, Mona, and/or Lucas to build an inpenatrable wall around the town...although not until Ezra and Aria get back from their movie press tour, of course...and blow it off the map, escaping with the twins and living happily ever after.
  21. Literally the only good part of this was Mona's dollhouse. I freaking love her.
  22. Can I love that neither her best friends nor her boyfriend can tell that's not Spencer, but blind Jenna can walk past her, exchange 30 seconds of conversation, and know?
  23. I can't with this. I was pissed at the Charles/Charlotte/Cici reveal, but this isn't even worth that. It's jaw-droppingly awful.
  24. I've loved Sasha all season long, so I'm thrilled to death that she won. She looked stunning too! I'm fast approaching "elderly" status, so I'm hardly an Instagram/YouTube audience, but I love Sasha's win...bald queen, Fulbright scholar, very artsy, fierce a.f. Good for her! And her dad and boyfriend were so cute!
  25. Katya is extremely intelligent and well-spoken, though, and I don't think Valentina is nearly as bright. She's not stupid, just young and disconnected.
