  1. Diamonds are a terrible investment, since their price is artificially controlled by a cartel. Rebecca Budig didn't learn much from her father, it seems. And how about the dude who took a chance on Duke and gave him a job? Yeah, that guy was fat, but Duke owed him more than teaming up with his murderer.
  2. She remembers Sonny, Alexis's shadiest client ever.
  3. LOL how Minae and Kent don't know what kind of doctor Robin was. Women's friendships have gone down dramatically since then. What group would have a GNO these days? When Molly turns 21, the Davis Coven could, but they're the only group of more than two I can think of.
  4. I love both of those pictures. JVP continues to give me life, on the show and outside of it.
  5. It's always all about Sonny, that's why. Even when it shouldn't be.
  6. To be fair, we've never seen Jason work at a computer. He let Spin do all that.
  7. He talked to Griffin about raising three girls, how great Anna is, etc.
  8. Everyone is really believing this witness in the Rivera case? They're just going to totally ignore the insane coincidence of it? Alrighty then. Ugh, jealous Jordan. Why do we have to go there? It's so stupid. And why does she have such a tiny studio apartment? She's the police commissioner, FFS. MAC!!!!!!!!! JJY looks great. I'm disappointed Jason caved and went to help Michael, but at least Jason made some good points. Sam, tell Jason what happened in Hawaii, sad or no. It's part of your history, and he needs and deserves to know. Tomorrow looks galactically stupid.
  9. They have a whole year to screw things up.
  10. Did people really expect TG to win this year? I always thought last year was his good-bye Emmy, even if it wasn't his final year on the show.
  11. Peter Townsend was the man Princess Margaret didn't/couldn't marry; Lord Snowden (Anthony Armstrong-Jones) was the man she did. Poor Leonard. Just when I was thinking he got that big win he needed after standing up to the archbishop (and I loved Phil's support: "Yes, he said you'd say that about the bishop, and you did"), he sees the photographer didn't wait. I did like Sidney telling Leonard you get used to having a broken heart, even if it's such a sad thing to say. At least Leonard knew Sidney meant it kindly. Don't care about Amanda anymore. Don't care, don't care, don't care. I don't want Geordie and Kathy to have marital problems, but I supposed it's inevitable. Work it out, you two! That's how my Presbyterian church did it, too, though we got matzo instead of bread cubes.
  12. This might be UO, but I think they do a decent job, especially when the budget is so lean. Yeah, Emmy bait is a real thing. If he didn't have this, he'd never have won.
  13. Cable stations get more latitude, but it's up to each to decide its own standards. I loved Dame Joan's reaction to the squirrel testicles. If you knew she wasn't going to cut you for saying or doing the wrong thing, she'd be a fantastic dinner partner.
  14. Thank Jasus. It's insulting enough we have Paul accusing Anna F! Devane of being crazy, even if it's just to save his own ass. I don't crazy pregnant ladies, too. That well was tapped dry ages ago.
  15. I'm hoping Carlos will double-cross Michael and get sprung without telling him where Sabrina is. But I can live with Carlos selling out Sabrina if she decides she wants nothing to do with Michael because she's seen the light where the mob is concerned, and he's too close to it via Sonny.
  16. That annoyed me, though at the same time I found it very characteristic. A scar is hardly the worst thing in the world, but of course someone Lauren's age would worry about it being visible. Talk to me after you've lived a little more, girl. I'll show you scars.
  17. Parts of the story write themselves! But the writers completely ignore them and focus on the absolute wrong stuff. Liz/Sam is only a part of Jason's life, and at the time he died, Liz was a really small part. Yet we had to suffer through a year plus of her mooning over Jakeson, and Sam is nowhere to be found. Everyone else—including their son!—can have some magical connection to the mystery guy, but she's not interested in who he is.
  18. Jason being fought over by two women is so much more interesting than Jason discovering he had been a hit man and wondering if he still wants to do that. /sarcasm It was a typical Sonny conversation, though: All about him and his needs. He sort of alluded to it, but I'm surprised he didn't tell Jason than he took him in when no one else would and gave him a job. And then we get Sonny and Carly bemoaning this new Jason, as if they'll have nothing to do with him if he won't drop everything every time they need him for something. Which they'll likely do. Ugh. Maybe we'll get a quad. Oh, joy. /more sarcasm
  19. What a great show. I could have listened to Dame Joan talk forever about her time in California. She wouldn't be afraid to dish the dirt. Poor Paul Hollywood with his wrist injury. He was a very good sport with all the teasing. Richard Madden was a LOT of fun. I've heard "Cake by the Ocean" before this, amazingly. Usually I haven't the faintest idea who the musical guests are, especially when Graham is in Eurovision mode. The DNCE guitarist certainly worked hard to draw attention from Joe Jonas. Hee.
  20. Saw a promo: The new season starts on May 30th.
  21. "She had a boy?" "Yes, we did!" Oh, Carlos! Keep sticking it to Michael, doll face. ETA after seeing the end of the show: And then you ruin it by trying to make a deal with the dude. Oh, Carlos! So...we're going to mention the Brad/Rosalie marriage but not give the reason behind it? I'm sure it's completely stupid, but they could at least say something if they're going to bring it up. STFU, Sonny, and stop emotionally manipulating your self-styled best friend. He's the worst. Yay to Jason for finally pushing back. LOL at Sonny's faces when Jason kept saying "No, thanks." Right, Carly never judged Jason—except when he got involved with women that weren't her. Or wouldn't help her with one of her cockamamie plaaans. Then she had plenty to say.
  22. I figured it won't be Franco, and the story is merely a vehicle to show us that the Gentle Farmer is being persecuted for past wrongdoings. He just wants to live life on his own terms, dammit! I don't care who the stalker ends up being, though it's probably too much to ask that someone show a bit of creativity and make it, say, Claudette. While Jason was "dead" and away from PC, he crossed paths with her somehow and did her wrong, and now she's here to get her pound of flesh.
