  1. She was also manipulative as fuck. How many times did Phil ask her only to speak if she was going to say something new and she just kept saying the same things? I have no patience for Hoarders and find it to be a ridiculous "mental" health issue. More often than not the people who do it strike me as people who have just bullied everyone in their lives into keeping their mouths shut about the fact that they're disgusting. However, I will admit that the fact that this woman was abusing animals put her into the "lost cause" pile for me. The dogs were being abused. Period. And she wanted to fight and argue about how it was his fault. No dog should be chained for 10 hours a day and left outside in that kind of heat. She's a bitch and didn't deserve his help. In fact, what she does deserve is a room in the fiery pits of hell where it's about as hot as it was for those dogs. I think Dr. Phil thought, as I did, that the man's drinking was a direct reaction to his living situation. Get the wife/daughter out of there, clean up his house and then he would probably dry out on his own. He didn't seem so far gone that he needed treatment, just a small tweak of the situation and he'd end up cleaning it up on his own.
  2. All of this. Both of them are ridiculous and I'm over both of them. I'm not about to give a pass for it because Barb took on the responsibility of raising Jace. She is a terrible parent. I see everyone in here constantly going off about all the yelling and carrying on David does in front of Kaiser, Ensley and Marissa so why does Barb have her actions explained as if I should understand why she's gone off the deep end? I don't care about Jenelle's absentee father, that was on Barb to figure out how to handle it and instead of getting her daughter into some therapy when she realized Jenelle was losing her mind she just decided to yell and scream every chance she got. So yeah...100% on Barb. You can literally see Jace shut down when one of them starts yelling. His face is nothing but sadness. He's rapidly approaching the age where that sadness is going to turn into anger and the silence will be replaced by some "fuck you"'s of his own. And Barb will be right back where she was with Jenelle with Jace because she has no idea how to parent. I'm shocked she's got him in therapy and my guess is that happened not because of her own concern but because either someone on the show or at his school suggested it or it was offered to her. Barb has absolutely no ability to be introspective or to see how her own behavior factors into Jenelle's just as Jenelle has no idea how her behavior factors into Barb's. And neither of them will take responsibility for their own culpability in why it is Jace is showing signs of anger management issues. Why would he know how to manage anger? None of the adults in his life have the skill apparently. So? Barb was asked to leave. If she had a concern about the kids being outside unsupervised then she should've called CPS or the cops and let them handle it. Instead she started a screaming match with three children in the room. If Barb wants an explanation for why her daughter hates her, I could sit down and give her specific points without hesitation. It would take me three hours but we'd eventually get through it. My dislike of Barb is not absolving Jenelle for being the complete fuckwad she is. I don't believe I have to like either of them and I don't. As far as I'm concerned Barb is slightly higher on my respect scale because while she is fucking abrasive as shit, her refusal to allow Jenelle to have him back isn't because she's trying to stick it to Jenelle. Whereas I believe Jenelle only wants Jace back so she can stick it to her mother about what a better mother she is to him. Where Jace's safety is concerned, Barb is in the right by keeping him away from the household and I hope she continues the crusade in that area. But otherwise? She's as useless as Jenelle is. I would have walked away from both of them long ago and I suspect when Jace is old enough he will peace out ASAP too.
  3. I can't say if I believe one over the other, but this is a good point. Delores went into the stratosphere over a pretty banal comment. Not to mention, Teresa didn't even have an opportunity to express whether or not it pissed her off. She made a passing comment in the car about it upsetting her, but she never showed any anger about it towards Delores. Yet Delores was up on her feet screaming insults and going off about Teresa watching her back. Look, I don't think Teresa trusts Danielle further than she can throw her, but she is trying to form some type of friendship despite the past she and Danielle share. And unfortunately Delores and her "loyalty" has been severely damaged this season so far with her actions concerning how she handled the cake throwing and taking Siggy's side. Did she say that specifically? I doubt it, but she said SOMETHING. Completely agree with this. Siggy's display at that party was ridiculous and I really cannot stand people who need the validation from others to be pissed off. Dragging her other guests into it was unnecessary and stupid and if I were Melissa I would've explained to her that she can have the entire world agree with her and it wouldn't matter to me, I still think she over reacted. If you can't make your argument without some type of "I'm not the only one who feels that way" bullshit then you need to step back and keep your mouth shut. Not that I'm shocked, Siggy has had Delores over there fanning the flames since this started. Had no one paid a bit of attention to her she'd have gotten over it 4 episodes ago. I don't think anything is happening between Melissa and Teresa that is overly concerning. They are keeping their issues between family which is where I think they had issues before. I don't think there would have been half as much drama if they hadn't been sniping at each other to others. Here, they're just sniping back and forth to each other while Joe is sitting there. Keeping it in the family, so to speak.
  4. This entire thing made me angry and sad. Neither of them should have that little boy. Wanna know how Jenelle learned to be a piece of shit that screams insults and yells in someone's face? I give you exhibit A: Barb. Neither of them know how to express any other emotion but anger. Barb is 100% to blame for the piece of shit Jenelle is and this show just proved it. Although Jenelle is rapidly approaching the age where you can't blame your mother for why you're an asshole, it is absolutely evident that Barb is no paragon of virtue in this.
  5. Actually, I'm not down for this. We're not talking about your opinion about someone's clothes here. This is your opinion about whether or not someone is inappropriately grabbing someone. There is a "Yes, that's happening" and a "No, you are wrong" element to this. Because you are leveling an opinion upon someone's character. You are accusing them of something pretty heinous. You are expressing that opinion to other people which in turn may form their opinion or cause an even bigger reaction. The "you are entitled to your opinion" stuff has got to stop these days. Especially when it's a hot button issue like this. Some people need to be told they might be taking things too far. Not to mention an opinion is being formed without all the information.
  6. I'm not a sewer and it never occurred to me that the "touching" Zac was doing was in an effort to do anything but look at the clothes. There is a big difference between grabbing someone for sexual gratification or to lord power over them and Zac's touching which seems to clearly be so he can see construction. Anyone who has watched this show, even one episode, should have been able to pick out that Zac is always mentioning construction and how the clothes are made. If we're going to assume people who aren't sewers are believed to be naive enough to look at that and think he's getting a charge from it because they aren't "fashion people" then maybe we can also assume that Zac has asked prior to touching them or made some passing comment about how he's touching the clothes and not their bodies. I think people tagging him for inappropriate touching are reaching with this one. He's not reaching forward and then closing his fist around someone's boobs or ass. He's reaching forward to touch the garment so he can see the construction of it. That's it. That's all. And Michael should have gone home. My God. Although Liris' comment wasn't any worse than Michael's model when she stepped forward and made the joke about how she was a prostitute. I think they've crossed a line with these models this season in allowing them to give their opinions about what they're wearing. I really don't care what Liris thought of her outfit or if it was uncomfortable.
  7. That right there proves that she's not as visible as she once was. I had no idea that the album wasn't out yet. Previous releases I knew weeks ahead of time and I'm not a person who was looking for this information, it was thrust upon me without my consent. LOL
  8. When DJ doesn't wanna kiss the black girl in the play. DJ: "Dad said I don't have to and dad outranks you." Roseanne: "Are you new?!?!?" I don't remember what episode it was or what the plot was, something with Jackie I think. Complaining about a male, maybe Gary? I think it was early in the shows tenure. And she and Roseanne are talking in the kitchen and Dan walks in and asks what's up and Roseanne and Jackie both stare daggers into him, Dan: "Run away, run away."
  9. Nothing on this show will ever be as funny than David charging out of that SUV and at the bodyguards like he was about to throw down and the two big black dudes not moving an inch. I cried laughing this time. He is such a fucking tool. You could almost see it on his face, "Whoa, they aren't moving....ok, abort! abort! But try not to look like a pussy. Fuck." Then he starts trying to reason "It has nothing to do with you!" that one dude was like "And?" Loved it. Please keep showing that clip.
  10. I haven't seen a report of a thing pertaining to her. This would be my own observation. There was a time where any website I pulled up for any reason would be a never ending barrage of all the "charity" she's bestowed or some song she's released. Every awards show had her as the top bill. Every radio station had her on heavy rotation. I haven't seen that this time. I purposely try to steer clear of her (other than this thread apparently) and when 1989 was it it's height it was hard, she was ALWAYS in my face. And since she's released this album I've stayed blissfully unaware of anything she's done. I haven't heard this song or the other one she released after LWYMMD and I listen to the radio frequently enough that if she was in as heavy rotation as she used to be, I would have heard something. Sure, the standards of a flop for her are 10 million instead of 20 million sold but AFAIC any indication that she's losing her grip on the cojones of this country and I'm ecstatic. Because I am so done.
  11. Flailing. She's not as popular as she used to be. Her past deeds have caught up to her and people are tired.
  12. This is the point people are trying to make. She doesn't owe you an explanation for what she went through as a kid in order to survive in order to satisfy your thought process so you can either set her in the "believed" pile or the "mmmmdon't think so" pile in your head. Her story was hardly any more or less outrageous than anyone else's yet people are still harping on how she got on a bus. What could she say that would satisfy you? You're already looking for a reason to discount her because it won't "add up" to you.
  13. I think that's her point. The underlying suggestion that those answers would somehow make her story more believable in essence makes it sound like those questioning her about mundane details that don't matter are saying she's lying or exaggerating her truth. Like I said before, why does it matter how she got on a bus or made a phone call? It's almost as if the answers are being harped on so you can go "Well there's no way a 13 year old could do that so she's exaggerating.". Those details don't have a thing to do with how she made it through Scientology or her mother abandoning her. That is peripheral information that would not add and should not take away from the crux of the story which is that her mother abandoned her at 13 years old for her church which is what this entire season is about. There have been quite a few stories this season where stupid details were left out and they weren't questioned or asked to fill in the blanks. I mean...we can all sit here and claim there's nothing racial about it but...if it's assumed that her answers to these questions would make her story more believable then I don't see the stretch in believing that she's being held to a higher standard because she's a minority.
  14. Does it really matter how she got through her days? The important parts of the story (and why the show doesn't highlight further information) were told. It has nothing to do with Scientology which is what Leah is after. She is letting people tell their incredibly disgusting stories about what family members were forced to do to other family members. I think it's sort of odd to focus on what she did once she was cast out. The point is what happened to her while she was there and when she left and how Scientology succeeded in continuing to abuse her even afterwards when her mother died. I don't think it matters how she fed, clothed or got to school once she left. She did what she needed to do. Good enough for me.
  15. Did anyone watch the extra chat afterwards? What that woman said to Mike was incredibly powerful and I hope it eased him some. Mimi's story broke my heart. That poor woman having to realize she wasn't as important to her mother as she should've been. That type of thing punches a hole in you that I don't think ever heals. Every time I watch this show I feel like calling my dad and thanking him for not pushing his views on me as a kid. I was raised Catholic and did all the Catholic things required (first communion, etc) but around 13 my parents stopped requiring that we go to church and I was allowed to make my own decisions regarding how I chose to view God and religion. I am not part of any organized religion now because I find it all to be bullshit. I make my own decisions regarding who/what I believe in. The fact that my parents did this (and without a lot of fan fare, just one day my mom didn't say "time for church" and that was that) makes me incredibly grateful.
  16. Here's the thing....Siggy is all bark and no bite and Margaret knew that. Margaret thinks a lot of herself, yes...but I've seen nothing to indicate she shouldn't. She's a woman who's forged her life without a man. She has people around her who care about her and she's got her shit together. Siggy's threat had no teeth because she's weak and Margaret knows that. Margaret all but laughed in her face. That is how you handle people like Siggy. You wanna destroy me? Please. You couldn't destroy my dog. It was a thing of beauty to watch. But now Siggy has shown her ass to Margaret. Margaret, so far, looks like a woman you would want in your corner. Melissa was smart to get in on her good side and reap the benefits of her knowledge and contacts. Siggy looked like a petulant child and a drama queen....and the worst part is she looked laughable and completely weak. Margaret looked like a strong woman who didn't need to sling insults in order to get her point across. I loved every second of watching her take Siggy down and I hope it continues.
  17. Watching this show makes me wonder how Adam gets any woman on the planet to date him?
  18. I don't have a problem with Toby. I think he's a friggin saint for dealing with Kate's never ending barrage of bullshit and blame for every single thing he does that she feels is a slight to her. Kate and Toby are example #1 for why you don't get into a relationship when you hate yourself and haven't dealt with your demons. Toby can't do anything without her taking it personally and thinking it's some crack at her. He gives her a muffin - a completely innocent thing to do when you notice someone hasn't been eating. He even went above and beyond and made it as healthy as possible - and she's rolling her eyes at him. He's noticed she's gone off the deep end with losing weight and trying to get healthy and he's trying to help. That's what people who care about you do, they notice a pattern and call your attention to it before you are too far gone to catch yourself and maybe come back to the middle ground. Was giving someone who's trying to lose weight a muffin the most well thought out plan? No. But at least the effort was there. If I were Toby I'd have taken off a long time ago.
  19. Oh good. Kate's pregnant. So she can pass on all of her victim crap to her kid. Fabulous. One thing I don't understand about shows like this is when they finally have characters gaining some introspection and self awareness and then they chuck it. Kevin's pill addiction is unnecessary. Why spend all that time on how meant to be he and Sophie are if they're just going to destroy it? Because what's gonna end up happening is he's gonna end up stealing medication using her nurses badge or something along those lines and destroying any chance they had at happiness. It's kind of tired trope. I kind of liked that they showed that Randall heard the discussion between Rebecca and her mother. Kids overhear things they shouldn't all the time. Parents involve their kids in adult decisions all the time. Should they? Nope. But at least Rebecca and Jack sat him down and discussed it in an age appropriate way. Too many times my parents just shuffled me out of the room and let me wonder.
  20. Ya know what I'm over? This idea that someone still needs to pay for killing these abusive dicks. He was an asshole. Good riddance. I hate judges and their "But someone is dead and there needs to be a consequence for that". The cops were called, they walked away. The dipshit neighbors didn't want to get involved so they just turned deaf. Her family didn't do shit. She was completely on her own. She killed him. Oh fucking well. His family can take a thousand seats. Ample evidence of him being a prick. Don't raise a prick then he doesn't have to die when his wife kills him for beating the hell out of her daily.
  21. Harvey Weinstein is a tool but I can't deal with Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie's claims that they didn't say anything because they were afraid of what he'd do to their careers. Both are women who were born into Hollywood royalty and would have been believed had they said something. I don't want to start pointing fingers at women who don't talk, because I get it, but the two of them specifically made me angry. Brad Pitt knew. Ben Affleck knew. All of them have blood on their hands - so to speak. The whole thing is very irritating because those in power are more concerned with saying they didn't know then taking responsibility for what they DID know about. And the worst part about all of this is nothing will change. Hollywood has always worked like this. The ending where they highlighted Louis B. Mayer and his indiscretions proves it. Another powerful male will just slide into his space.
  22. I don't think I will ever watch this show without feeling terrible for Jace. Why those two women cannot shut the fuck up around him when they decide to argue about stupid shit is beyond me. Barb, you are also to blame for the fact he has anger problems considering you can't keep your goddamn mouth shut any better than Jenelle can. Jace should be taken away from both of them until they can learn to talk to each other without the constant back biting and screaming at each other. That poor kid just needs some effing peace in his life. No matter where he goes he's dealing with someone yelling. Roxanne needs to leave the arguing about what Luis does and doesn't do to Briana. Briana asked her twice to stop and she kept going, even ramping it up to start slinging insults and names. He isn't handling his responsibilities but she's not helping. I feel bad for Leah.
  23. I cringed and shut my eyes during the airing of that tape of Wally abusing that kid. The rage in his voice coupled with the terror in the kid's and OMG...I was just like, please don't play anymore. It wasn't even me being abused but the terror was palpable. Holy shit.
  24. Totally wasn't about the money. I got the impression that this had all been bottling up for the season and it finally exploded on the runway. The most annoying thing was the judges reactions. It's not like Claire had been turning out uber original and creative designs. Can the four of you entertain the idea that these contestants are seeing what's happening in the work room and hotel and have a view that's different from yours? Heidi specifically always gets so haughty when people bring drama onto the runway like the person who brought it is to blame and not the person who was doing it to begin with. Rather than asking Michael and Margarita why they felt the way they did, they instantly started in on them about how unfair they were being to Claire. WTF? Michael was not to blame for what he did and didn't need to own shit and either did Margarita. They exposed a cheater. Claire can miss me with her indignation over it. She didn't own squat. I suspect when we see the reunion episode she will defend herself and sit in her righteousness over the fact that what happened to her was unfair despite the fact she knowingly broke the rules. She answered Tim's questions with annoyance and irritation like a huge deal was being made of nothing. She and her stupid ponytail, pink lipstick, nose ringed ass can go home to Michigan and sew clothes for cats for all I care.
  25. I don't think he did it. I think his daughter has an axe to grind. She very well remembers she saw her mother but for whatever reason she wants her father to go down. Probably so she could prove to her brothers that she was telling the truth. The fact that the cops took the boys out of school and interviewed them without parental permission is a big big problem. That detective went doctor shopping and wasn't careful with his investigations and so he needed people to back up his theory that he wouldn't let go of.
