  1. Also, IIRC, she's a TEACHER! I don't remember if they said what grade, but WOW! I'm wondering if she still has THAT job?! And that cute, kinda shy guy, who's all of like 22 years old, and I think he'd have no problem getting ANY OTHER KIND OF GIRL, and she ropes him into it, not to mention he is her son's best friend, since they were little!! And THEN! THEN... shy guy's FATHER, who is against his son doing it at first, decides that he HIMSELF might try it, too!! HE'S not getting any younger, so WHY NOT?!?! I don't know WHAT the hell is going on w/this show, but I'm glad the matchmaker (who ADMITTEDLY flakes from relationship to relationship) is getting ghosted by her love interest inmate in IDAHO (and she's in FLA). I'm wondering if these people are for real?? Really?? You're shy, 22 years old, so your answer isn't to like go ONLINE and join some group?? (I'm 50, there was no "online" for me at 22 to meet new people!) ALL these other resources for a nerdy guy into anime, yet he chooses THIS?? This is all beyond bizarre! lol
  2. She was in The Americans, playing Nina. I loved her in that! I think, like you, that it was more writing and direction here. I did notice that she seemed more 'off' in this role, than when she played Nina, and Nina was a more nuanced, in-depth role. BTW, I would recommend The Americans to anyone, anywhere, all day, every day!! LOL
  3. I'm gonna be like I was last week & talk about driving distances. 😋 Dr. Paradise's office (and looks like it's also his home) is in a part of Houston called Montrose, just west of downtown. Assuming that's where he drove from, Baytown's a nice drive from there. I just hope that house call was his last work duty of the day and afterward he took advantage of the trip and went down to the beach!!!
  4. Yes. I felt a little silly 'nitpicking' it, but for those who know the Houston area-- it's like WOW.
  5. Yep. And I agree with you about him getting out there. I like Lucas and glad he's going after what he wants. 🙂
  6. I'm not criticizing him. I'm talking about the production team. Many years ago I saw another show on ID channel. They showed a town and said it was Humble, TX. I thought, that doesn't look like Humble AT ALL. I did some digging and sure enough, it was some small town in the Midwest! LOL Just examples of how production can mess around with stuff like this.
  7. Yep-- I went to his FB page. It says 'Studied at Lone Star College System'.
  8. I don't doubt that he wants to go back to school. But y'all, either they couldn't find another, much closer school to give permission to film, or this was a straight up plug for Alvin Community College. There is ZERO reason for him to commute from Conroe to Alvin for community college. It's a long drive ONE way. Lone Star College is in his county (Montgomery), and Houston Community College is all over the city. Conroe is an exurb north of Houston while Alvin is south & on the coast! Commute for a good job, sure. But I am POSITIVE that either Lone Star College or HCC would have the courses he wants & needs. And the show even had a 'Conroe, TX' chyron on the screen while showing 'Alvin Community College' on the building. Um, no. You might as well say 'Austin' while showing the Alamo (in San Antonio).
  9. @natyxg Yes! I wanted this to end with Iris as a shackled zombie, snapping at a teasing Jadis doing some techno rave dance moves in front of her! And Huck at the spiked punch bowl with a nice buzz. (Oh-- spoiler alert: it doesn't end that way.) I felt like the entire show was WRITTEN by a bunch of douchey 19 year old Irises! I mean, REALLY?!?
  10. Or Sid Vicious. "I did it Myy--yyyyyy Waaaaaayyyy" .. *spits*
  11. This one was a doozy! What a liar. As if he has friends.
  12. Yep, this ep was the inverse of Lacey. They went THINKING that Lacey was SUPPOSED to go, Dr. Now's orders-- but that wasn't the truth. That's why Sharon blew her top. Now we have Ryan's mom & her boyfriend, who knew better and decided they weren't going to waste their time. (I'd love to see Sharon with Ryan. Oh my!!)
  13. Huge tattoo says 'Family'. Does he have another one that says 'Food'?
  14. Yleana was right to call it "tattling." "Ooh, look what your daughter over here is doing, throwing out trash!!! How do you feel about that?!" I loved it when Yleana asked "Does that upset her, or does that upset YOU?" I am confident that Yleana knew those bags were trash & felt okay to throw away. But I may be projecting a bit because I've cleaned out a hoarded house before, had to make judgment calls & was VERY careful to make sure I was throwing out trash, not anything else. But it was easy to spot TRASH, and it was so easy to see that Yleana's an honest person & trying to be mindful of all that. Not too mention, later they showed the professionals piling heaps of trash off the floor, right into garbage bags & then the dumpster!! No examining it. So where was the tattling on them?? Plus the organizer, Carolina, actually told Yleana she felt Yleana was looking for a short term goal of just clearing out the house instead of long term goal of her mom not rehoarding. I'm positive she does not want her mom to rehoard, cos guess who gets to clear it (again) when her mom passes? It felt like they singled Yleana out, and she's already been through enough shit.
  15. What the hell?? Why is the daughter (who OBVIOUSLY wants to help her mother) getting SHIT!?!! Every episode, the organizer & counselor says that not EVERY SINGLE THING can be touched because it takes too much time! This is bullshit. Good for Yleana for calling them out. This is frustrating for ME, I can't even imagine how SHE feels! UGH!!!
  16. I wondered this too. I kept thinking that it looked like the therapy she'd had DID work. And them pushing her to share an intimate detail about her life that she did NOT want to share PUBLICLY on a TV SHOW really bugged me! Just cos she doesn't want to tell YOU, Dr. Zasio, doesn't mean it's going to hinder shit. She SAID she'd been in therapy for it! I mean, I understand these people need help and need to be pushed somewhat, but really??? It also bugged me about the food, not because of the expiration dates necessarily, but because Dr. Zasio asked Peggy if she'd be okay with them throwing out expired food. Peggy essentially said no, although she did start to try to explain herself. But Dr. Zasio kept asking her what she wanted to do! Then when Peggy would start trying to explain her 'no' answer, Dr. Zasio acted like Peggy wasn't hearing the question and would repeat it!! Zasio was SO obviously trying to change Peggy's answer from NO to YES, but she kept couching it as "We just need an answer, Peggy." I wanted to pull my hair out!! Peggy WAS giving a straight 'no' answer, she just felt she had to justify it. If a "no" answer was indeed okay as Dr. Zasio was SAYING, then she should have just stopped at NO, said "we don't need details", and then packed up the food to be organized later!!! I've watched both Hoarders and Hoarding: Buried Alive since their first episodes, and this ep made me remember what used to bug the crap out of me about Hoarders-- that first of all, EVERYONE, except Matt and mostly Cory, tend to treat the hoarders as 5 year olds instead of just adults with a serious issue. Second, they sometimes try to badger them into giving them the answers THEY want (except Matt, whom I ADORE, he's so good w/people). I mean, just be straight that there is a certain answer that is preferred, instead of this manipulative gaslighting bullshit!
  17. Yes. I'd LOVE to have a Sharon in my corner, telling jerks where to go!
  18. The show was Evil Lives Here, S6E8, "My Twisted Sister", on ID Channel, Louise Turpin's sister Elizabeth Flores. She lived with them in the summer of '96, when she was 20. Full ep at the link. Also an article at the ID site.
  19. Yes please. It's been a long time since World Beyond was announced as a new spin-off, but wasn't a Rick sighting teased? It's probably why I started watching in the first place. I knew it was going to be centered around teens, but still had hope. But why the hell make them either SO unlikable, or just really 'meh'?? It's bad when you're actually ROOTING for the fascist state just to spite brats like Iris! I don't think that's what TPTB were going for.
  20. My eyes rolled so hard at that. And I think I'm too old to watch or care about teenagers pontificating on life. I just wish this entire series had been about the CRM in the first place, as Smad said. I want to know where the hell they get coffee. HOW in the WORLD do they manufacture newspapers, for crying out loud!! I'm done with teens barely out in the world thinking they know jack shit & wanting to bring everyone around them to ruin. I'm glad this is about to end. If it weren't, I'd do like I did with FTWD & give up after 2 seasons. I'm ride or die w/TWD but glad it's ending too.
  21. At this point I'm Team CRM. My hate for Iris & Percy has made me not give two shits about the rest of those spoiled, snotty posers. I like Jadis & Huck. I want it to end with Huck going all in with the CRM, them taking all the douchebags as Test Subjects, then having a big industrial techno dance party, complete with 'Empty' Iris & 'Empty' Percy shackled & snapping at them! Good times!!
  22. Yes, why can't she wear a bed sheet so I can snark harder?! DAMMIT!!
