  1. Each episode passes so quickly. I’m really enjoying this and Judith’s understanding of events/clues through her knowledge of history. Becks and Susie just take her facts and run with them, as they all seem to be on the same page. This contrasts with the police, who seem to always be at odds with each other. (I would love to wipe that smug, arrogant smirk off the one officer’s face). I’m not at all surprised by the recent turn of events, as it is fiction after all.
  2. You are completely correct. Even though an epi pen has been used successfully, protocols require moving the anaphylactic patient to a higher level of care immediately after the incident.
  3. Made sense to me…the professionals and the interns all agreed that to make the outright claim of falsity (with undeniable proof) to the girls would be akin to slapping them in the face and telling them to snap out of it. They could very well spiral toward a group suicide pact. Instead, they decided to join with the group, becoming accepted members and gently lead them to the truth.
  4. Count the references to creepy movies (both visual and verbal). The title is Hitchcock (The Trouble With Harry). I think they had fun with this. Nice that everyone’s preferences were accommodated in Ducky’s Place.
  5. By definition, “memories” and “NOT OPEN to misperception” are mutually exclusive. Everyone’s memories are viewed through their own percepts at the time they are experienced. Time and again, Sheldon blew events way out of proportion and went into panic mode.
  6. I’m pretty sure the plastic “instrument” played by Sam was a “Flutophone”. It resembled a recorder, yes, but was passed out to entire classrooms in the ‘60s. It came with music and instruction books, and was intended to teach the rudiments of music in an engaging way. The class would learn a song and hold a recital. (The baby boom created cramped conditions in elementary schools-no space for a music classroom-the teacher was itinerant, going to the regular classrooms).

    S02.E03: Bloodlines

During the week I wasn’t even in the room and heard the dreaded words “Sunday, after the NFL”. So, I added an hour to the Tracker DVR timer. The dad immediately said it must be the girlfriend’s. I assumed the kid hid it there (from her), along with the rehab money he earned through his blood donations. On another note, I assume Colter’s dad wouldn’t let him play ball because he knew he’d do well and draw unwanted attention to the family. Sad.
  8. Over the summer, I watched all of Young Sheldon from the beginning, straight through the final season. I’ve never seen one episode of TBBT, although I saw ad clips and read comments about it in the YS thread. When I finished, I came to the conclusion that most of the inconsistencies could easily be chalked up to Sheldon’s misperceptions he has of his own childhood. There were many, especially around adult social interactions. I watched, mostly because of Annie Potts and the cute kid who played Sheldon. I didn’t dislike George, but saw him as a typical breadwinner resigned to the fact he was not in control of his lot in life after his marriage-destined to lay low and avoid rocking the boat unless absolutely necessary.
  9. For the historical Xmas photos, yes. Both actors were definitely altered during those scenes. Current appearances, I think, may have made her appear thinner due to clothing styles. Matter must be lifting weights-don’t remember him having those guns!
  10. Just watched the Sweeney/Matter movie and found it interesting. AS has always played strong female roles, and it was interesting seeing her character indecisive and full of suspicion and doubt. Although there were humorous moments, overall it was an interesting drama. Certainly a bit “meatier” than most of the offerings, with “dumb drama” thrown in during the last 15 minutes.
  11. You’re right, she was judgmental at times, but never to the extent that the tables were turned on HER by the community when G and M refused to marry. She never went out and chastised the “sinner” in the public square, as was done to her (and it wasn’t even her own transgression!) She even lost her job for C sake.
  12. They half-heartedly tried that, but the couple didn’t buy it.
  13. I don’t think they planned on it but, if they don’t at least appear periodically, Mandy’s mom will drive away viewers in spite of her dad’s quiet humor. Only Georgie Cooper would beg for verbal abuse. (From Mandy’s dad about the keys-but too similar to the robbery at the sporting goods store)
  14. As someone noted above, Arnold was a very successsful general. Treavor commented that Isaaac died before he was disgraced.
  15. …because there’s not a genuine thing about her. She wants to earn her chops as quickly as possible and is willing to do anything, evidenced by the exchange with her boss about the admissions of wrongdoing. While I believe a lot of that is an act to avoid suspicion, she’s still new and needs to tread lightly until she’s established at the firm.
  16. I actually have not yet, but I’m always searching for new mystery series to read. In my search for these, I was surprised to find how old they were and realized the writers had “modernized” the source material.
  17. Re: the unusual feel of these episodes, keep in mind that the 9 books were written between 1985 and 1997. They have really gone a long way in story to update with elements of modern times. (Consider the smart TV vs. the ‘80s VCR.)
  18. I missed the start of this-mid season last winter? Always liked Jesse Martin in L & O. Very much like his character here. Stories are intriguing enough, better than most these days. You’re right, but they seem to all be a different sort of animal with bizarre sensibilities and ethics.
  19. Certainly seemed that way. The good part was the lecture/demo he was able to give to a reluctant panel whose members may be in a position to change the policy. THAT part was unforgivable.
  20. That was the very first scene of series one! Except the wilderness was coastal. He wrapped her up and moved her on to a higher level of care- rescue 101.
  21. Perhaps these particular units were some of the first who never rotated out of that duty. They did say their entire tour consisted of only the big gun firing and that they never rotated out of that duty. I thought the voice over at the end gave some hope for rehab, but certainly there’s more awareness now for prevention.
  22. I’m hoping it will not be back to vex us..Passmore’s character seemed like a loose cannon, he might now have brain damage, funding pulled, because his operation failed. Honestly, when our heroes were escaping across the field, I thought it was a secret government test of new cloud seeding methods. Disappointing ep.
  23. It appears that they want this series to be zany and ott, almost slapstick. These two are portrayed as dysfunctional children whose relationship seems to work. The whole mouse thing was a throwback to the game which appeared under everyone’s tree in the ‘60s. You played the board game maybe a time or two, then started using the parts to make up new, invented contraptions. They deserve each other.
  24. I got the impression that the parents/grands decided to cancel because the lead was bowing out this year, not because she didn’t have a “date”. They all probably didn’t feel like frolic and games. Really, they seemed more understanding than cold and unfeeling.
  25. So just five episodes and done?
