  1. Forgot for a minute who that geek was in the dungeon. Then I remembered McGee was invited to work with them earlier this season (big honor). Then I figured since it was AI, they had to defer to “cyber” unit. Kasie is more of an all around lab rat brainiac. I’m sure if she wanted to, she could easily work with the geeks, but she’d be bored.
  2. After the child Colton/grandmother scene at the pond, and after the next set of commercials, there were 4 minutes left on my recording. Gotta squeeze those ads in.
  3. In the 1960s (and beyond), both my grandmothers dressed straight out of the early 20s and 30s (picture “Aunt Bea”). There were only so many places they could continue to buy the clothes (full corsets and all). Dressing every morning was quite the chore for them.
  4. Ok, she finally said why, but only at the end.
  5. Those are valid points but, the character definitely voiced severe fears of hospitals in general. Waited all episode to hear more from her about a traumatic experience (death of a parent or operation gone wrong) but it never came out. I thought she’d share it with Phyllis while they waited, but-nothing. She was so fed up with the doctors/hospital that she refused to even go back to the maternity clinic.
  6. That would mean Alice pairs up with an (unknown yet) Goodwin in the future? Who are Casey’s parents, where are they?
  7. Once again, Hallmark writers create a scenario around a subject they know nothing about. The shovel in solidly frozen ground was ridiculous. You don’t go out in March or April and start digging where you planted bulbs in the fall. Moreover, the bulbs manage to produce greenery in spite of temperatures in the teens and twenties. Longer days and higher angle of sun ensure the bulbs come up. Also cringed at the “waiting for the bloom to come in”, as if waiting for the perfect moment to pick grapes. All bulbs come in early, mid, and late blooming varieties. It’s a process, not an event.
  8. Sorry. Didn’t mean to confuse anyone. Just a glib, sarcastic, attempt at humor.
  9. I just thought that it was more of the “founders” garbage. Del was an “incomer”, hence, not entitled to the same respect as the heirs of the sacred (sic) founders.
  10. I’ll predict that Del CAN use the pond and will summon up the courage to visit Jacob just to know in her heart that he had a life and family, even if it wasn’t with her. Although, it sounds like someone needs saving from the real Brits now, so they’re probably saving a reunion for another season. Next week is billed as the season finale, so apparently they’re hopeful.
  11. Others commented on the heels, but I hate how easily the soles of dress shoes can slip off the clutch. Jolting.
  12. I’m pretty sure the dvds have the full episodes, and they’re not trying to sell them to the Brits. They’re getting the max ad money they can per episode and relying on diehard fans to buy up the uncut dvds. (The UNcut versions are not streamed, else dvd sales would plummet).
  13. I so agree with you both. Dealing with clutch and gears was one thing, but steering was ridiculous. I, too, thought the shoes were silly (did she wear them to cycle, I think not). Besides, the clutch is something you feel, best done in sturdy shoes with other than slippery leather soles. The whole driving scenario was a cliched insult to women. (Said the woman who owns and operates a tractor with bucket and backhoe).
  14. Already a despicable, money grubbing trend!

I have no idea what resides behind the grill on an EV and don’t ever intend to find out, sorry.

Shooting the grill drained the radiator-car won’t even start. There was a lot of hissing noise along with all the steam.
  17. There actually was a quick exchange among the women a few scenes after the “crafts in the living room” scene. They had to come up with an Easter activity and the decorated prams were mentioned.
  18. But did you see the look Trixie shot her for that? Priceless!
  19. That is sad (and kind of sick, Ada-wise). However, it might be a default setting (dumb, if so). You might search in menus to see if you can move the box. One or two more layers and you might find it.
  20. The parallel between the discussed 1944 delivery and the police involved delivery was a good plot device. Sr. J probably put it out of mind because of the terror and the newbie held it together admirably until it was over. FWIW, the “broken” clavicle wasn’t an issue as it could only have been a greenstick fracture. It did, however, lead to the CP, as the stuck shoulder delayed delivery and prevented O2 getting to the baby. Nothing Sr. J could have done differently. Interesting reading about those “doodlebug” missiles.
  21. In spite of her time as a horrible, evil witch, I’ve loved everything HBC has done (especially The King’s Speech). I’m betting this will be good, even though the soap was notoriously lousy. One or two clicks to turn on the cc. I have to because of Shealah.
  22. It’s a point, but I had the impression she was not controlling the robotics, and she’s not an anesthesiologist either. I think she was there to keep Todd calm (for what THAT was worth). Modern medicine has pretty much made an appendectomy “minimally invasive surgery”. In 1968, it was highly invasive, requiring a two week stay in the hospital.
  23. That’s his schtick, as demonstrated by his long term gig as “Mayhem” selling insurance. He was normal size in this and now I’m convinced that the DW who appeared in M.Spade was laden with prosthetics and altered via cgi (he looked about 400 lbs). I was really sorry to see “Battle Creek” cancelled back in the day.
  24. This episode should have been called, “Sins of the father”. I do understand the “alias” rule during the police application process (can you imagine?). The rest was entertaining for a change and I’m glad the reporter was fair. I really thought Pops had stepped in it with all the waivers he signed and the fact she seemed to be shying away from the “preview” she promised him. Really glad that turned out positively.
  25. Easier sweep up of any spilled fluids, and to help prevent them from seeping permanently into the wooden floors. They’re choosing to focus upon the most pungent (although, stale beer is pretty rank).
