  1. I just don’t want to see him raise a bat around her.
  2. I agree. The past three-four episodes there have been events which make Matty stop and think-you can actually see it on her face-what part did I (we) play in daughter’s fall? She’s still hellbent though to find the drug company liable, but she’s beginning to accept they may have been a part of it, too.
  3. I forgot to mention, in Believe in Christmas Reardon’s H&R co-star, Kevin Hanchard (Superintendent “Joe”) played a guest staying at the family’s inn.
  4. Some people, obsessed with “perfect (reflects on ME), are really like that. The ending mea culpa was simply to end the movie on a harmonious note. Poor Leah is in for a life of coping and will probably form a tougher shell against the MIL’s neurosis.
  5. I’m hoping that this, and Mistletoe Mysteries will eventually move to cable/satellite channels. Meanwhile, in another “dick” move, for those cable/satellite subscribers who don’t have all the hallmark channels-you can add them to your service for $9/month! Hell, the pay movie channels don’t even charge that much.
  6. I don’t think he could afford to react, as it would only confirm the “failed” psych evaluation rumor/innuendo. At this point he must realize this job is keeping him functioning.
  7. ”You can’t tell anyone”. I had to stop action twice to confirm “anyone”, as from a distance, it might have looked like “mother”. Clueless on what it means.
  8. I will say one thing about Dance in the Snow. I really appreciated the voice overs while texting. I’m so sick of stopping the action, getting up, and walking to the screen to read them. All movies should do this. When email began appearing in films and tv shows, they provided voice overs for those, why not texts?
  9. See how they are? Seriously, though, Beth is probably using whatever documentation John has filed away to buy the stall-time she wants. With Rip in Texas, and her world falling apart, she went back home, Rip just joined her there.
  10. I thoroughly enjoyed this, especially the fact that the actors showed off their own pets, too. Can’t wait for the new series and Tristan’s return. The short clip (slight spoiler) at the station seems like it will be as heartwarming as their departure scene so long ago.

    1923 in the Media

I don’t subscribe to Paramount plus, and was glad to see this finally airing on the cable network. Two days ago, I set it up to DVR the series, and this morning I noticed that it disappeared from the record list. The name changed in the guide from 1923 to Yellowstone 1923.
  12. There was a scene either last season or the one before where they had a discussion….not a solid yes or no, but an agreement to “try” to resurrect a relationship like they had when married. It was very nebulous, with lots of innuendo. Oh, then, Jack turned up at Sunday dinner. (awkward)
  13. Especially loved the bit when Emmett walked the accountant through the slimy scallop prep.
  14. I got the title wrong-A Veteran’s Christmas, and, yes, all of the rules and regulations were frustratingly reiterated throughout the movie. Thing is, she was wounded and taken away to a hospital, and she couldn’t even get information about whether the dog even survived. I won’t spoil it for MerBear, but I did appreciate the truthfulness of the situation.
  15. I like A Veteran’s Holiday just a little bit better-where the townspeople pull strings to get her service dog back to her. The young judge is charming and cute, too. In the Blucas film, I thought the female lead was kind of cold.
  16. I think the point was that her mom eventually realized that her single minded focus on her profession caused her to miss out on the things that enrich her life (those things that others in the movie kept talking about). So, the mom left the clues to the “real” life’s treasure buried in the cave, hoping her daughter found them before it was too late. So, that would be a satisfying family life and celebrations with friends and loved ones.
  17. It’s not an imposition to check both threads. I assumed the countdown thread is for 2024 premiers. The HM, apparently for Christmas movies from past years.
  18. Looked to me like that kick shattered sternum and ribs. It most likely tore open the pericardium. Lotta blood there.
  19. The Reardon movie reminded me of an older one: Christmas Land. I liked the flashback relationship between Deloach and McCormick. I wanted to believe that this year’s film showed how the old town evolved. But they spelled it as one word: Christmasland. BTW, Christmas Land is on today.
  20. No such thing with an animal that size, let alone an angry one. Carter was stupid with the water bucket-should have just dropped it inside the stall and slammed the door.
  21. Any movie that will drop the dreaded last 15 minute row has a better chance of success. Yet, they continue to push it on us. To me, it’s always lame.
  22. Jerry was one of the actors keeping me watching ER, week after week-at a time when “tape” space and vcr capabilities were very limited. Loved that character.
  23. Yes, I think that was to convey the high activity level found in large family gatherings and the fact that it’s exacerbated when they’re constantly together. So, this was more manic than the first Haul Out the Holly?
  24. With the parodies being so popular, I just thought it was Hallmark, finally mocking themselves. I did stick it out, and wondered what the “trope” count would have been, had I bothered to count (it’s too cold here to do much of anything).
