  10. My family is from Jamaica and that is our song! I was singing and winding away when it was playing on the show (play Tiney Winey in front of any group of Jamaicans and we’ll do the same thing). Byron Lee was a legend in the Caribbean.
  11. My family is Jamaican, so we often had turkey and curried goat. I realized way too late that not every Canadian ate that during thanksgiving.
  12. I’m not from the States, but how does she have insurance in the US? Isn’t she a “freelance travel writer”? I thought your insurance was tied to your job? Or, does she have her parents’ insurance?

  17. It’s injera, a staple food in Ethiopian cuisine. Basically, it’s like a “plate” in that you put all of your various stews, vegetables on it, and eat off it, which means that by the end, the injera has absorbed all the tastiness.
