  1. I am not a hockey fan, so would have had no idea who that person was (though, their name sounds vague familiar). Glad nobody was out this round.
  2. Happy to see the show back. Great group of racers, and I enjoyed the tasks. I loved the burlesque challenge, and that the teams really got into performing it.
  3. A spin-off series has just been announced. “Beyond Paradise” will follow DI Humphrey and Martha as they settle down in a British town with a shockingly high death rate. https://redplanetpictures.co.uk/news/death-in-paradise-universe-to-extend-with-humphrey-goodman-spin-off-series
  4. I can’t take credit for this, but love the term “onomotapology”. It makes the noises of an apology, but isn’t one.
  5. He totally is! Now I’ve got “wood, cheese, and children” in my head. Even though it’s a shadow of its former self, I’m glad to have the show back.
  6. It’s a Caribbean thing. Washing chicken has been ingrained in us. There’s probably roots in when chicken was freshly slaughtered and lack of refrigeration generations ago.
  7. There’s only going to be 12 going to the live show? It seems so small.
  8. The first challenge was about using hot peppers. Why did Tyler ding some trucks for using milder peppers, when they made milder peppers available (and I think that each proper could only be used once, so someone had to use said peppers)? I was a Home Ec teacher. It is possible to mess up Mac and cheese. It’s not pretty. But, these were teenagers, not people supposedly making a living selling said food.
  9. You explained it well. They were dancing, not merely executing moves or stunts, which to me separates dancers from those who dance.
  10. I can’t vote, as I’m in Canada, so please include some votes for me! And thanks to @HurricaneVal for mentioning the bean purée. We get a shorter length show up here, so that part was edited out. I was wondering why the judges never mentioned his beans.
  11. I’ve always wondered why they do that for the audition rounds. Does it have something to do with the choreography, as it’s not choreographers contracted by the show? Who knows what great (or not so great) piece of dance we miss by seeing the judges faces.
  12. That was a lovely season finale. Tina will be pressuring them for grand babies all next season.
  13. Keep in mind that Africans were treated horribly in China, especially during COVID, so he has reason for continuing to be wary. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/25/asia/china-anti-african-attacks-history-hnk-intl/index.html
  14. I had to unlike your post just so I could like it again.
  15. There’s a casting call for a new season. https://www.instagram.com/p/CcqwBoLoBj6/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  16. My PVR shows season 11 starting April 23 on WTVS, the PBS station in Detroit.
  17. Really intrigued after the first episode. I love anything with Courtney B Vance in it.
  18. He’s not the only chef to have lost his sense of taste and still excel. https://www.npr.org/2011/03/03/134195812/grant-achatz-the-chef-who-lost-his-sense-of-taste . Though, Grant Achatz wasn’t in a cooking competition and could rely on his other chefs to help him out.
  19. Any episode that ends with Mary J. is a great episode.
  20. Really liked this week’s episode. And because it was running in my head..
  21. Banana catsup is really good. I don’t own tomato catsup, but do have banana. Some interesting history on the woman who developed it. https://food52.com/blog/24700-maria-orosa-profile
