  1. @saber5055!! So good to have you back! I'm in.
  2. Perhaps it is a euphemism, as in "Let's Go Brandon."
  3. I don't think that there is any doubt that the final episode will be Richmond v. West Ham for the championship. But there are many possible endings to the match. The most likely one is that Richmond wins on a penalty kick by Jamie, although it could be Sam or even Roy as a last minute sub after Jamie is injured by a cheating play sent in by Nate. But another possible ending would be Richmond losing because the team refused to take advantage of a bad call or they walked off the field because of racial slurs against Sam or other players of color, thus proving principles win over sports. Since the more modern approach to television is bleak endings, another possibility is that Richmond just is out played by West Ham, Rebecca loses the team because of financial issues and everyone goes off to other lives, but are better having known each other. And, of course, there is the redemption ending, where Nate, wanting to come back to the light, deliberately calls a play he knows Ted and the Richmond players will counter to win the game. So many options!
  4. According to Sasukepedia, Najee had to withdraw due to Covid protocol. He was replaced by Jackson Erdes.
  5. It was a double bummer that Joe Moravsky was DQ'd not because he tested positive for COVID, but because his wife did. I understand the reasoning, but it would be awful if Joe never tested positive. It is possible to live with someone who has COVID and not get it yourself. However, the last thing the show would want is all the competitors going down before Stage 4 because of infections.
  6. Also, in the alt-future, when Nurse Chapel is listing Spock's injuries, she is wearing a blue uniform. So she joins Starfleet eventually, probably to search for her missing fiance, as indicated in TOS.
  7. Would you want Ken to host the tournament? You could all throw buzzers at him!
  8. 3/5, 1*. In high school, I wrote a science paper about those newfangled lasers which everyone thought were cool, but rather useless. Yes, I am old. Nonetheless, I missed the FJ, because see above.
  9. I've always suspected that Dear Old Dad made up the hand grenades part. It always made us laugh.
  10. I go back to the time when everyone retired from competitive skating after the Olympics (because you could only make money by turning professional). It made the first two years interesting as the pack sorted itself out and the leaders emerged for the last two years leading to the Olympics. Sometimes I think the top skaters stay in competitive skating too long and get boring, doing basically the same routine over and over again.
  11. Amy Grant really isn't a gospel singer. Her musical genre is Contemporary Christian Music, which is more pop than gospel.
  12. 1/5, no *, just a lot of really close misses (which, as my grey haired Daddy used to say, only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.) Come back, @saber5055, your adoring fans miss you!
  13. If only I had followed your thought process...
  14. 2022 Kennedy Center Honors were announced. Recipients are U-2, George Clooney, Gladys Knight, Amy Grant, and Tania Leon.
  15. I've always pronounced it goDOH. Then I read that was the wrong way to pronounce it, that the correct way was as @Prevailing Wind wrote. So I anxiously awaited how Ken would say it, figuring the Jeopardy! PTB would have told him the correct pronunciation. Ken affirmed my pronunciation so that's the one I'm going with. I wonder how Alex would have pronounced it?
  16. Surprised that it wasn't nominated for Best Comedy. Any writing noms?
  17. I got Porgy and Bess but I call foul because it is done more as an opera than as a Broadway show. The clue says "most revived show in Broadway history" so I feel that the revivals should be on Broadway not the Met.
  18. By my count, 27 women made it through to the semi-finals, and only five of them didn't qualify in the top 30. And several of the best women from the past didn't even make it through! It is definitely time to eliminate the special category for women.
  19. 2/5. I knew Sodom but I always pair it with Gomorrah so the clue referencing a single city threw me and I went with Babel. I blame it on the clue writers.
  20. 3/5, 1*. And Cheers! Dry June is over.
  21. I never remember names. Did the firefighter with the prosthesis make it to LA?
  22. which will be episode 11--"Locked": Bash and Amira go on a trip together. Episode 12 is "Saviours" on July 9th. and the final Season 2 episode 13 is "Free For What" on July 16th. NBC is really trying to kill this show, isn't it? Which is a shame. It's one of the few medical shows where the doctors' lives are more interesting than the patients' maladies.
