3/5, with 1 *. I’ll be offline (and off live watching) next week as I’ll be making my annual trip to the US Figure Skating Nationals, this year in San Jose. Be good to each other while I’m gone.

I had a wooden puzzle map of the USA with each state as a puzzle piece. As a child i used to put it together in the order of how each state entered the Union. That order is burned into my memory. It's amazing how much capacity memory has.

Yikes! That doesn't sound good for the future of H/B. I wonder if they have gotten worn out because of never making the next step up. I was looking forward to seeing them at Nationals.

Oh, thank goodness, I didn’t jinx Ray! I was really worried. I don’t know how long my heart can take it. I hate runaway games, but now I’m praying for them. Oh, Ray, you are completely upturning my Jeopardy! Life.

Am I the only one freaked out by Kamila Valieva's skate as Wednesday Addams at the Russian Nationals?

I have never liked superchamps and didn't understand those viewers who passionately rooted for them. But I have fallen madly, stupidly in love with Ray and hold my breath until he safely wins each game. I apologize for my distain for previous superchamp admirers. The heart wants what the heart wants. Of course, now that I have admitted my affection, Ray will probably go down in flames in today's game.

5/5 with 1*. It's a Christmas miracle!

Actually, I got the correct letter because of the clue. I started with F (failing grade) and then moved to G.

I was very glad to read that others had a problem with the lighting in this episode. I thought it was just my ancient eyes giving out. I have no idea what happened with Boorman when he was below ground or what happened in the fight until it was over. Why do directors do that? Are they trying to save money on the sets or what?

It is completely new. It was fast with a lot of complicated lifts and no longing looks at each other. The music is Souffrance by the Orange Blossoms which I didn’t know at all. It just flowed well. Chock is wearing a bright colored dress with a swirling pattern which worked well with all the turns. It was the exact opposite of P/C. I gave them a standing ovation in my living room.

OMG! Chock & Bates changed their Free Dance and it is SO much better! They still came in second but once they get more reps with that dance, they will be unbeatable. It is so much better suited to their strengths.

Miura/Kihara eke out victory over Knierim/Frazier 214.58 to 213.28. Bobbled side by side jumps by K/F made the difference. Who would have ever thought that the Japanese and American pair skaters would be battling it out for Gold?

It's part of the Jeopardy! legend that superchamps usually lose to someone who is one and done. However, more recently the ones who beat the superchamp have stuck around for at least a few more games. The only superchamp to stop another superchamp's streak that I can remember is Amy Schneider who beat Andrew He.
