  1. I agree, don't think the cartel would care about his personal possessions. My question is, were we ever told exactly what Saul had done to have the government go after him and place a reward on his head? I would think it would be something during or after BB, and it would have to have been big enough to make the news so a taxi driver would have known about it. Jeff did threaten him with the "it would take only one phone call..." bit. I think that is why Saul got involved in this con. He wanted insurance so Jeff would never be able to turn him in without it crashing down on him as well. I also think that Marion may serve the same purpose to Saul as Nacho's father served for the cartel. Keep Nacho and now Jeff in line.
  2. Thanks! No wonder I didn't remember that. I thought for a while maybe it was the ricochet from Lalo's shooting and that he shot himself!
  3. I always enjoy reading this blog. Since I am not a detail oriented person, I miss so much that the rest of you notice and comment about. Thank you all! In addition, I have difficulty seeing visual details when the lighting is darkened (as in the lab scene where Gus and Lalo had their showdown). So I am hoping someone with night vision can tell me, how did Lalo get shot? I don't think he would have been dumb enough to let Gus sneak a gun in on his body. I have watched it twice and still have no clue.
  4. I thought about the same thing, only then I went on with the fallout. What if when Drea tried to use the idol she got from Mike/Omar to save herself and Jeff announced that the idol was invalid because Mike didn't follow the rules when he first found it.
  5. I can't believe that the producers of this show believe that we believe that: A. A 10 year old has the ability to oversee a whole kitchen and tell fellow 10 year olds what to do and when to do it. B. Because a kid won the competition last year, he has suddenly acquired all the knowledge and skills to advise and judge other kids. That he can now comment on the cooking like he was Aron!! (Aron cannot even make that seem believable!) His comments sounded even more scripted than the contestants. C. That these young chlldren can have any food type thrown at them and without blinking an eye, rush into the pantry and grab all the ingredients they need to create some marvelous plate.
  6. I do watch TLC, but not her show. I didn't even know that was her until I read it here! Some people read the WSJ and others watch TLC!! And, the clothes were not flattering at all.
  7. I thought the same thing, but then I thought it might be too soon for a joke about hair.
  8. Concerning the predator comment, I have a question. I don't recall him saying Kim was a predator, yet she responded like he did. Did I miss it? (I do sometimes zone out in between interactions on this show!) Of course, she is another one who seemed to be an expert on everyone else's foibles and not her own. And she was atrocious in the ways she interrupted other people. I got the impression that she felt that she was the star of this tell all because she is now Usman's "girlfriend." As such, she would be correct in assuming that everyone is there for her and that she is the main attraction. (but Jasmine was the MANE attraction!)
  9. You stated my feelings about Mike's smug, condescending comments last night, EXACTLY!!
  10. I agree that there are many non physical jobs in a volunteer fire department. My son in law is a chief in such a department and I can attest to the fact that he and his colleagues are willing to risk their lives to save yours. There are many classes and tests involved in "volunteering" your time and also much $$ spent from the volunteers' pockets. Those fundraisers like pancake breakfasts and bashes are vital in raising funds to keep these organizations going, and the volunteers who cannot physically fight a fire are very important in keeping those other things going. Much like the military, not everyone is capable o doing the physical side, but their contributions are important. Also it is important to remember that these volunteers are exactly that. They have full time jobs that they are sometimes called away from to fight a fire or direct traffic around an accident, etc. One cannot expect all of them to have the physical abilities of a professional firefighter, whose job it is to fight fires. I'm not defending anything about Mike, I am supporting volunteers of any kind!
  11. Two things: I think Ximena and Hamza are both in similar financial situations. I think they and their families are desperately in need of money. Both families are looking at them as their best means out of poverty because they believe that US citizens are all wealthy. Hamza is willing to go off as a lamb to the slaughter so that he can help his mother and sister. Ximena thought she could do the same for her family, but I think she realized how unhappy she was/would be with Mike. It is purely coincidental, I am sure, that she really decided Mike just wasn't her cup of tea after he refused to pay for the boob surgery. Secondly, to me Hamza gives the impression that he isn't the crispest fry in the Happy Meal Box. I don't think it is just the language barrier, he seems like he's always trying to "catch up" with what is transpiring around him with an awe that a four year old might have. It might just be he was always sheltered by mom and his sister, don't really know.
  12. I love the snark, but I have to draw the line for myself at making fun of someone's "wonky" eye. My child was born with an eye issue which has caused a "wonky" eye. We spent years of his baby/childhood trying to patch (try keeping an eye patch on a baby.) and doing whatever the dr's recommended to try to improve it to no avail. It has never held him back from most of his endeavors and he has a great job with a great company. However, it breaks my heart to think how many times he had to pretend he didn't hear, or it didn't bother him to hear nasty remarks about something he had no contrrol over. I am not attacking anyone in particular, I have just seen that remark so many times, I felt I had to speak my piece.
  13. X needs to "man up" and face the consequences for her deceit. In this case, no boob job, give the ring back so she can't sell it and no more paid rent. Mike, leave and work on yourself. Being a yes-man doesn't make a successful relationship. Stop being so needy. Don't ever fold and try to reach out to her again, even on your worse days, hoping against hope that X has evolved and will want you back in her life. As for X, yes, she's a user, but I totally get where she couldn't stand the sight of Mike. I just hope next week she doesn't fold because she's desperate for that gravy train and Mike, being Mike, say's "okay. Te amo." Gawd. Great post! I agree with your feelings about Mike, can't stand him personally, but I almost felt proud of him when he FINALLY stood up to her and told her he paid the rent and wasn't staying at a hotel. She has just beaten him down so much while taking all the perks of the financial arrangements. He's right, her attitude changed when he said no to the boob job. But, here's my question, if Mike's name is not on the lease, is he entitled to stay there even if he does pay the rent? I doubt if Ximena would know the legality concerning this, but just wondered if she could have him removed. Maybe one of her exes could be the enforcer!
  14. THIS (bolded) just made me laugh SOOOO hard!! I can see it in my mind. Wonder if the chairs would have to be ticketed separately, or as a set?? Still laughing!
  15. Couldn't have said it better!! That was exactly my fear.
  16. These aren't the non native English speakers, these are the 'Mericans!
  17. And, how about the ever popular "Michael and I's", or "Hamza and I's" or "I can't remember who else and I's"??? I don't remember ever hearing I's being used in place of MY, except for on these shows. Maybe it's a regional thing (I'm from Pittsburgh and we have "yinz", so there's that!) Or maybe it's on the list with Babe, Baby, etc. My ears squeak everytime one of them says it. PS: I never say "Yinz" lol
  18. That's because that's the only part of Memphis that Hamza can describe in perfect English. "Big Boobies!"
  19. I stopped watching this show last week. I had taped it, got about 10 minutes into it and then deleted the rest of it (for many of the reasons that have been mentioned above.) I came here to read comments because I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and I enjoy hearing what you all have to say.! Judging by the not even one page of posts so far, I'm guessing I didn't miss anything. I don't think the four ladies care for each other any more than I care about them. There is really nothing about any of these women that makes me want to care about what they do. Also, the producers should do the math and add up their weights. I'm pretty sure it's more than 1000 pounds. Let me know if next week they decide to try balance beam routines or ice skating!!
  20. Did we ever get an answer to "Donald, where's your troosers?" lol
  21. I didn't catch the doorknob detail, but I think that is what I love about this race. Different tasks are easier for different styled racers. The boys excelled in the physical challenges and they were much more difficult for other teams. Some challenges are more difficult for shorter people, taller people, less physically strong people, or people not inclined to notice details. The tasks that involve some luck (turning over 5000 stones to find a coin) are the great leveler. Anyone of them could have turned over the first stone and found a coin. No one was favored in that challenge. That's what makes this race AMAZING! That and the chance to learn little bits of other cultures. Of course, the scenery doesn't hurt either!!
  22. MME: You are very witty and it makes me laugh even more when I HEAR your answer in David Rose's voice and mannerisms!!
