  1. I am in the electronics industry, and we have sales reps visit us on a regular basis. They all know the jargon, and sometimes can be helpful in providing us with information about emerging technology. We did have a very pretty female rep who paid us a visit, and believe it or not, her name was Pryia!! Very much like Penny, in that she was easy on the eyes, but not very knowledgeable about electronics.
  2. Thanks for sharing the pics, Cooksdelight !
  3. There is a Honda ad with a woman and a dog in a car with air conditioning that only works with the fan on "high". The sales girl walks over and refers to the woman as "tight Angie". Just because a person doesn't want to spend major $$$ to fix an AC system fan in an older car, that makes her a tightwad? Just seems uncalled for, since the woman is going to have a new car payment for the next few years.
  4. Jana is stunning! There have to be dudes pounding on JB's door looking to get with her. Jana has a gentleness about her, and it shows in her eyes. I'm sure that she would be a very loving and nurturing wife and mother - everything that a potential suitor would want. It just seems that Jana has to take a back seat to her younger sisters, especially Jessa, because she dares to express her emotions and "not keep sweet". i.e. her favorite jewelry piece that she had to give to Jessa, when it was Jessa being the brat. JB will have to loosen his grip at some point, I just hope that Jana does find happiness.
  5. Ginger Zee could read the names in the NYC phone book, and I'd still tune in.
  6. I am tired of seeing that McDonald's commercial with the "Brave" mom stepping into her soccer playing son's room to fish a stinky red sock out of the pile of decaying sweaty clothes on his floor. First, the kid was able to find every piece of clothing except that one sock? The sock was visible while mom is standing at the door! My mom would tell me either find the missing sock, change to a different pair, or go with a mis-matched pair. Mom should make her son clean his room and put his clothes away, instead of enabling that behavior. Helicopter Mom indeed.
  7. Kendall is a Jenner, not a Kardashian.
  8. @PinkSprinkles 300 people at $700-$800 is less than $3.00 per person - for a full meal - who is your caterer! The cake seems a little expensive at $500-$600, but I don't have all the details, so maybe not. When I got married in the early '90's, we had 100 people, and the catering alone was $900.00 Anyway, back OT - I've been to a couple of fundie weddings where only punch and cake was served. No decorations, other than a poster board with the bride and groom's names on it. It seemed strange to me, but the newly married couples all left after a quick meet and greet at the reception. I mean, like within an hour of the start of the reception. I wonder how long Jill and Derrick hung around for their reception.
  9. Sorry, my mind is in the gutter. I'll show myself out now.
  10. You know, I can't understand why the Captains have the most inexperienced greenhorn oversee the offload. I think it was mentioned before that the Captain is ultimately responsible for the crab numbers to be correct; so shouldn't the Captain be on deck while the offload is underway? At least have an experienced full share deckhand oversee the count. IIRC, something similar happened on the Time Bandit, when everyone left the boat, and the offloaders were allegedly shortchanging the weight, until Mike Fourtner came back and started checking the weight along with the offloaders. Like I said, I suspect that Fisher would have still caught hell even if he didn't try to move the crane. However, he may still have his job if he didn't. It may be a blessing in disguise. Who really wants to work for Elliot?
  11. I have a feeling Fisher wouldn't have won even if he didn't move the boom. If the offload was halted because the boom was in the way, I'm guessing Elliot and the crew would have gone off on Fisher because he didn't show initiative by not moving the boom. Offloader: "Hey, we can't offload until the crane is moved, can you do it?" Fisher: "Sorry, gotta wait for the skip!" When Elliot returns Elliot: "Why the fuck isn't this fuckin' crab off my mother fuckin' boat?" Fisher: "The crane needed to be moved, I couldn't do it." Elliot: "You lazy ass motherfucker! Now were stuck in this motherfuckin' dock instead of out catchin' somemore goddamn fuckin' crab! You're nothin' but an ungrateful dickwad! This is how you fuckin' thank me for pullin' your sorry fuckin' ass out of the Bearing Sea?"
  12. Yes! I agree. Tigershark/Jennifer - congratulations on the win! I had to come here to find out that you are a two day champion, since I lost cable last night due to a severe thunderstorm. I like that you play with a passion.
  13. Lily is the All- American girl - pretty, outgoing, and knowledgeable about the product she sells.
  14. On a shallow note: I am digging the Nationwide Insurance Commercial with the chick in the catwoman outfit, who "breaks in" to a high rise apartment to, I guess, replace damaged/stolen items. That babe is smokin' hot!
  15. Since Derrick is now the Headship of the household/family, and he now has "authority" over Jill, all he has to say is - "God laid it on my heart to do xyz..." Done, no questions asked.
  16. Tigershark/ Jennifer, congratulations on the win! Wow! Two Jeopardy Champions here at PTV! It was an exciting game to watch, as the competition was tough, but thoroughly enjoyable viewing as a spectator. I look forward to watching Jeopardy! tonight, and I wish you continued success.
  17. I was very happy to see that the first answer in the Jeopardy round mentioned the town I now reside in - Elizabethtown, PA! Yes, the New Year's Eve celebration in town always features the lowering of an oversized M&M! The reason for it is, is that there is an M&M/Mars facility in town. (On certain days, the whole town smells like chocolate!)
  18. In Derrick's defense, he probably had nothing to do with the gift registry. Jill is still under JB's "authority", and until that authority is transferred to Derrick, I'm sure he is just going along to get along.
  19. What was up with Keith when they were pulling up that first pot? I know that the captains and crews have rituals and do other things for "mojo". For a minute there, I was expecting Keith to take off his shirt and start rubbing his nipples! I was glad to see that the Wizard was on the crab, as it was a risky move going that far out.
  20. My feeling about All in the Family is that it does stand the test of time. Many of the topics that the show tackled back in the '70s (abortion, gay lifestyle, gun control, etc) are still being discussed today. Maude on the other hand, is a show that I find completely outdated. Between the evening cocktails/endless drinking, and taking tranquilizers when feeling the least bit stressed, just seems so out of touch.
  21. I really couldn't stand the story line of Corey wanting to be part owner of the pawn shop. He was going to quit if Rick and the old man didn't make him a partner - going so far as to interview with another pawn shop in the area! (yeah, right) Corey just came across as an entitled douche. I do think he is a douche IRL. The story was so fake because why would you leave a job where you basically only have to show up on days that they are filming, and even if you aren't a part owner, you are still making some decent money. It would have been fun watching him quit, and starting out scrubbing toilets in another pawn shop.
  22. My annoyance with this commercial is not so much the frantic struggle to get the convertible top up, it is the fact that Mr. John Deere is cutting the grass, and the car is soon to be pelted with grass clippings.
  23. Worst Finale - Roseanne Didn't care for the rewrite of the history of the show and it's characters
  24. I think Jill found a loop hole with the side hug only rule. I've noticed that when Jill and Derrick hug that Jill takes her other arm, and turns into Derrick to wrap that arm around him. To me, totally normal, but to the Duggars, probably pushing the limits.
