  1. Right? Like I stated, they make time for all kinds of extraneous crap when they want to. Dressing dogs is a perfect example. Extra bonus: in the early weeks when the field is full, there would be no time for sad stories. No time for missing the kiddos or loved ones you left back home, no time for clothes with a message... as you'll have your hands full with darts and ripping out and re-doing seams! No time for workroom spats over who's more virtuous, or over models. Oh, yeah, this could work.
  2. I went back and watched the two safe looks Bones' and Coral's as their showings went by so quickly, I could hardly recall them. I thought they were both beautiful and really great work for an unconventional materials challenge. I know they have a formula for the show and time constraints, but after all the virtue signaling, sad sagas, overly emotional BS and pettiness they made time for early in the season... I think it's terrible they gave those two contestant's work mere seconds on the screen and no appreciative remarks from the judges beyond "good job". It's odd, while Coral's was onscreen I could read the list of materials used which included bar mat, cabinet lining, trash bags and mop heads. However I didn't see the words onscreen when Bones' was being shown? Strange, especially as Elaine excitedly commented it looked better than fabric purchased at Mood. Project Runway opened up this can of worms seeking to make the term "model" more inclusive than just much taller than average size 0-2 women. They've included those in wheel chairs, plus size models, transgender women etc. So at some point, I hope they do something to level the playing field. As a number of us have said it's much easier to fit a traditional model than a curvy model. Including someone super tall with virtually no curves like Didi and someone plus size and not in great shape who carries a lot of weight in her abdomen like the model who walked Zayden's look last week and Prajje's this week takes it to even further extremes. IDK exactly what the right solution is... go back to using traditional looking models and concentrate on the clothes as a few have suggested? Put all curvy models in the challenges some weeks? Have the designers show their garments on two models each week: one traditionally model proportioned and one curvy? I'd love that last one, but they'd probably have to make the show 2-2.5 hours long.
  3. Fitting curvy to plus size models is inherently difficult. Plus everything doesn't look well on curvy models, so you can't necessarily put forth a light color stretchy jumpsuit or a midriff baring 3 pc look with billowy harem pants and a flowing robe. I know if I was going on Project Runway I'd breathe a huge sigh of relief if the model I was assigned had Didi's proportions and I'd be awfully nervous if I was assigned the model that Prajje and Zayden couldn't fit properly in one short fitting session. You can't tell me the skill level fitting a garment to one is the same as fitting a garment to the other. There are bust darts that need to be made properly and be at the right level on the garment which is what mainly hung up Zayden last week. Plus that light color stretchy jumpsuit that Zayden conceived looked the way it looked on the plus size out of shape model... so what was he supposed to do then, scrap it and design something more flattering and go fabric shopping all over again? On the other hand for the contestant who draws DiDi as a model there is zero concern about whether any lightness of color, stretchiness of fabric, amount of fullness such as draping or ruffles or skin showing will look poorly on the runway. Not exactly fair in my eyes. Maybe they should all have to dress models with the same proportions. Traditional models one week, plus size the next.
  4. Bye Prajje! That was a hot mess. Was this the first time he dressed a plus sized model? Hmm. Shantal's look was tight! Aaron's was too and Kristina's. I think I liked Bones too, with the brief look we got. Did you see Brandon's face when Shantal's walked? His mouth was open like the whole time. After Aaron's critique and before Chasity's when they showed her face, what was she reacting to? She did not seem thrilled with something about him or his responses to his his critique.
  5. Not to mention if those photos had been arranged any other way than the haphazard way they were arranged by Misty, the lines wouldn't have connected that way and formed that symbol. I'd have thought Nat would've been smart enough to question that.
  6. I think Shantal's fit the challenge the best and was something women would want to wear. The balls or whatever sewn on would keep it from being something you could sit around in while working from home, though (IMO).
  7. He's baked, alright.
  8. I liked Kristina, Bones and AAron's looks best. Shantal's was nice too. I don't know if anyone would really wear them to work from home and maybe run out on an errand. Zayden's look would have been more impressive on a model that wasn't plus sized, unfortunately for him. Everyone needs fashions and to be considered by designers and clothing companies... it's true, but it's just a fact that a light colored body conscious jumpsuit is hard to wear and look well in if you're not slim and fit. It would be very interesting to see Chasity's garment fitted to and modeled by Zayden's model and Zayden's garment fitted to and modeled by Didi. Anna's taupey brown spagetti strap dress and robe with train that was in the safe category didn't seem to fit the challenge. Same with Anna's sparkly whatever that was. I tried to rock with Octavio after his strong showing in ep 1 with the red 3 pc look and I even liked the voluminous black gown that garnered all the "garbage bags tied together" and "charred bell pepper" critiques... but honestly he's lost the plot. He can go back to Octavio's one trick, comically disproportioned world. What? Zayden is going home too? He was robbed!!!
  9. Oh damn... no new episode this week 😒 PR isn't back until 12/02.
  10. So my spouse and I both watched this first ep and we have the same question... when they show the imagery of the meat cooking on the fire and then ultimately hands tentatively reaching for chunks of meat, at times we see what looks like animal skins and horns being worn by the people around the fire. Why? Obviously they're suggesting cannabalism took place. Did they have the ability to hunt and kill animals at times during the 19 months they were stranded? possibly just not in the dead of winter when the ground was covered in snow and ice? Is this some deep artsy thing I haven't studied film making enough to fully comprehend and they're just imagining their animal nature? 🤔
  11. Yes, I've been thinking about Chasity stating this week's was some of her very best work... after that gorgeous sheer black and white dress she created in week 3! I don't get that big cut out over the bust in garments no matter how much I keep seeing it.
  12. Yeah, I didn't get it. I've really liked things Kristina made before, but that mess looked like an unmade bed to me
  13. Kristina. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
  14. It's like something suddenly looks less severe about her appearance. I'm trying to figure out if it's more youthful styling, or if possibly she as a am extremely slender person may have gained a teeny amount of weight?
  15. Does anyone else think Elaine has been looking younger in the past 2-3 episodes?
  16. It was really hard to see, but the so-called "chainmaille dress" or black dress with gold jewelry collar was Anna's creation. Very diplomatic of you, Busyoctober. 😚 It's too bad the positive feedback she got on the Halloween show where she presented the look that was the biggest departure from the juvenile frocks in primary colors with wacky oversized collars she herself favors and presents versions of each week, didn't spur her on to continue to stretch herself beyond what she herself likes to wear. I got the impression Octavio thought he had this one. Can you imagine that look on someone of average height?
  17. Right? He mentioned Surya Bonaly! Those back flips on the ice landing on one blade were legendary
  18. 🏅⛸️🕺💃 When Octavio got Artsy Craftsy Katie as a partner did you see his face? Prajje has done a long strip of fabric (knotted in street wear) in 3 out of 5 challenges.
  19. Yes, thank you! I meant Chief Dell Harris 🤭
  20. Thanks for clarifying. I wonder why he wouldn't have left with both gloves on? He could've used the phone and opened and closed the door of the house he exited through, removed the device from the bottom of Jackson's car he'd put there and then taken the gloves off when he got in the car?
  21. Thank you. I'm going to trust your vision as the scene was dark and I'm watching on a small bedroom TV (19"). I did rewind it a few times and try to discern whether both gloves came off.
  22. In the scene where Sheriff Dell is at the house where Bobby Jesus and Jackson are, why does Sheriff Dell shoot Bobby Jesus now lying on the floor bleeding from the gunshot he'd just inflicted into his upper chest / neck area while Bobby was trying to strangle him from behind, while he's standing over him reaching down? He appears to shoot Bobby in the same part of the body from less than a foot away? Given that Sheriff Dell shot Jackson when he saw him across the room and then appeared to use the gun he took out of Jackson's hand to shoot Bobby Jesus', and then he put the gun he brought into Bobby's hand, it appears he was trying to make it look like they shot each other. Aren't the investigating police officers going to be able to tell Bobby Jesus' gunshot wounds weren't inflicted from across a room, but actually at close range? Also why did he remove his gloves and then use the phone in that house to dial 911 and set the receiver down before exiting?
  23. Oh, I forgot Virgil was in Dell's office. Thanks. They have a strange relationship, don't they? Being good ol' boys aligned in the effort to deter the real estate auctioneer from Grace's property, then Virgil shows up with food and drink and expects to sit down to dinner with Grace and Dell? Now he's looking out for Dell's well being and wants to make sure he's not being manipulated By Grace? Surely with your son in a dangerous prison you'd have more pressing concerns than Dell's innocence... and you probably wouldn't care why the Sheriff in town would be inclined to help your ex wife when you know the only thing in this world she cares about is your son, Billy! Strange time for Virgil to have engaged in that thinly veiled act of gloating, if you ask me.
  24. Right? Lee didn't even seem upset when she entered her father's house after getting the news about Billy! IDK? Maybe Grace thought she'd have more influence on Sheriff Dell if she a. appeared to be a victim i.e. a damsel in distress he could rescue b. was right there in his bed... as opposed to them just seeing each other a few times a week???? She in her anguished state is right there in his midst; he can't go home and leave off saying I'll look into it, I'll see what I can do while she stays by the phone in her trailer frantically awaiting answers. Can't really think of any other reason for her to have burned it down. I think a mum would be inclined to keep her son's room and childhood home as it was hoping for his safe return.
