  1. It's funny you mention the athlete (boxer ) guy because I watched that episode too and left the room for a few minutes and when I came back he was gone. I had to watch the ep on demand on Monday to see why he tapped. I enjoy the show and my hat's off to those people who endure and overcome the challenges, believe me. ... but what can I say, all kinds of crazy things go through my mind. Like what about our ancestors who didn't get a pot and a map and another item of each contestant's chosing? lol I know the medics and and others are nearby because those shady camera people are constantly showing the snakes, iguanas, rodents or whatever critters are nearby when the people are desperately searching for some... just any little source of protein! Not too mention the lions, leopards, hyenas, crocs, hippos or whatever dangerous animals lurk about and just how close they came to them / their shelter.
  2. I haven't read through 10 years of posts so please forgive me if this has been said many times before, this show (or more accurately people putting themselves in harm's way) is going to kill somebody! Just watching tonight S4 E10 (Redemption Road) the couple had to get to extraction via a jungle river in Guyana with cuts on their feet and piranah, stingrays and caiman in the water. Before that on S14 E10 (Battle of the Sexes) one of the two women lost consciousness after being so depleted from lack of food and having gotten sick from something she ate early on... it wasn't even the first time I saw a woman determined to stay pass out! Is anyone but me in disbelief that people do this just to prove they can, without millions of dollars in prize money at stake?
  3. Mary and George: The Second Son s1 e1 This aired tonight with NEW before the title. Did it already air nearly a month ago @AngieBee1?
  4. So they would not hear that the character Che Diaz was obnoxious and not funny at all and in the scenes they shared had Miranda acting like some lovesick pod person, instead of the smart savvy character we knew and were so fond of from SATC... ...and the show's not returning until 2025, but they fired Sara Ramirez now??? After many here stated the character was not quite as insufferable (in S2) now they weren't involved with and exerting mind control over Miranda... Funny MPK and his drones didn't care a fig that many SATC fans didn't care for the character and their arc when they introduced AJLT. They just branded us all backward unsophisticated haters for expressing that view and dug their heels in further. Strange.
  5. And Just like That won't return with season 3 until 2025? Due to the only recently settled writers' strike and SJP and Cynthia Nixon doing plays in the interim. SJP and Mathew Broderick are doing a revival of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite on Broadway and Cynthia Nixon will be doing an off Broadway play called Seven Year Disappear. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12838005/And-Just-Like-season-three-wont-premiere-2025.html
  6. Thank you @Orcinus orca and my extremely thorough friend @eel2178 ! I really thought they must have covered it when I turned my attention away briefly, but I saw it air a second time and still didn't notice them address it. I'd written it off to my possibly having dozed off... but, thank you. It seems they barely did.
  7. On s11 e 1 "Where the wild wind blows" aired Nov 19, 23 did anyone see where the homesteaders were getting their water supply? [I had to take a phone call during the episode and missed it.] Thanks.
  8. Agree. It's over. Carrie isn't waiting around 5 years for Aiden or anyone else. So why did MPK tell anyone who would listen that he wouldn't have brought Aiden back a third time just to fail? He also intimated that Carrie and Samantha remain in touch, even though we've only witnessed this one call and a couple of texts. It's ludicrous to suggest Samantha wouldn't have been at Big's funeral, but would be traveling overseas to attend Carrie's goodbye to her old apartment. Such a special occaision that she gathered in 10 or so brand new acquaintances and Miranda, Harry, Charlotte and Anthony. Can you imagine if Samantha had made it? She would only know Miranda, Anthony, Charlotte and Harry. [No Steve] Here's Carrie introducing Anthony's new 46 year younger paramour while explaining longtime friend (and Anthony's husband) Stanford's absence... oh yeah, he sent Carrie a note saying it's a monk's life for me... tell Anthony bye! This is LTW + spouse Herbert. Her kids go to school with Charlotte's. Lisette lives downstairs and will be taking the apartment. Then a couple people she worked on a podcast with until she imploded it, the closest one of the bunch: her realtor Seema and brand new director boo... and Nya. How the hell does Carrie know Nya, anyway? Not to mention the fact that she already sold and moved out of that apartment once before... in s1 when Seema sold her the big ultra modern apartment she ended up not liking. and most of all this:
  9. I'm not saying Brittany should have won the finale based on the collection she showed. It was just a huge turnoff knowing she didn't stand a chance of winning, no matter what she sent down the runway. It got very tiring week after week reading tons of posts saying Bishme would benefit the most from the CFDA mentorship, being a young designer. So I thought I'd point out he and Brittany are both exactly the same age, 32. In truth no one really blew me away with looks the likes of which we hadn't seen during the competition. In a fantasy world where budget and fitness were no obstacle I'd want Laurance's gray leather pant with the ruffly midriff top that was reminiscent of wings, that's the only thing I'll remember from this finale. ...and that will not be for long. Laurance's expertly tailored leather pants+ garments really sing on those extraordinarily tall thin models. quelle surprise! 🥱 There's not really the same effect on the more normal to full figured models, they would require designs that aren't meant to be worn skin tight. Bishme seems like a sweet person and I don't have anything against him but there were times he escaped elimination simply because the judges liked his previous look(s) and his win on the Below Deck challenge was ridiculous! They're cruising to tropical locales and the challenge was to please the client and make the look suitable for their purpose. Brittany looses with a good looking cotton jumpsuit for a service person and Bishme wins with a good looking neoprene outfit for a greeter/ multitasker who asked that her outfit be breathable. Neoprene? Really? That's what they make wet suits out of! That's the exact opposite of breathable. 🙄 Do you think Brittany would've escaped elimination if her client asked for breathability in the garment and she used neoprene?
  10. The mentorship is meant for a young designer? and that's why Bishme was set to win from day 1? Brittany and Bishme are exactly the same age. 32.
  11. My TV remote stopped working and some movie with Ben Afleck from 1999 is coming on :Forces of Nature: He's trying to make it across the country in time for his wedding and things go wrong along the way and he meets Sandra Bullock. He's working on writing his vows as he travels. His intended is Maura Tierney, who's sporting smokey eye make up and red lip color! Unusual for (but Kudos to) Hollywood to cast a bride 7 years older than the groom.
  12. Oh I didn't take like you were aiming your whatever ire? or impatience? with the situation at me. No worries!💕 I don't usually read a lot of articles about SATC or really anything I watch, but I thought I'd remembered that salary tidbit from the article The New Yorker did on SJP. It wasn't in there... turns out. IDK if there was some kind of falling out between them or what the seed of that mess that hit the news everywhere was where KC seemingly brushed off SJP's condolences when her brother passed away???? I don't trust the press to know or report accurately... Just as IDK if that rumor of some script where Samantha gets involved in young Brady's sexual awakening was really a thing? 🙄 ...but that slop they had her under contract to act and say in shitty movie#2 was unforgivable! I'd never do another project with them again! From interviews she presents it as she's just done playing the role of Samantha. Could be she doesn't trust the people involved to write her character at 60-65 without making her look crazy, being she was portrayed as the most sexually out there on the series? Or maybe her agent or whoever couldn't successfully negotiate for the salary she wanted? Maybe she felt she deserved $2.2 million an episode? If I were KC and I considered doing SATC movie #3 or AJLT I'd never do it if I didn't have script approval rights before being contracted to do the role, after shitty movie #2. Maybe she asked for that through her agent and couldn't secure it? I don't think we'll ever know the real story.
  13. I'm on record all over this forum from the time AJLT was announced as saying I completely understand why KC would not do another project that involved putting herself in the hands of whatever creators, writers and producers are involved with the SATC franchise based on SATC shitty movie #2, alone! With my tongue in my cheek I've said she should've sued them for attempting to ruin her career and image! 🤭 jk but it was bad! IDK how SJP and KC relate to each other and if there's bad blood or how much the press has exaggerated all that. I'm just stating human nature being what it is, it would be hard to see SJP make $3.2 million an episode and be one of the other actresses making $350k per. That is a huge disparity! I didn't type one word about it being SJP's fault. I never really get the intense dislike of the character Carrie, which I suppose is because I find SJP likeable. All four actresses and the chemistry between them made the series what it was.
  14. I will never understand the anti Brittany bias. Or why people have already decided she won't present a worthwhile collection in the finale. It hasn't even seen yet. In my estimation (which means nothing) she should have won the peacock challenge and the Below Deck one and I liked what she presented in the unconventional way better than what won.
  15. I once knew a guy who was obsessed with the movie Mannequin, lol. Even if SJP was more well known when the series started, she didn't make it phenomenal success it became all by herself. Nearly 10 times the amount of money per episode? That would be hard to accept.
  16. I remember reading somewhere that SJP made 3.2 million dollars per episode with her Executive Producer credits and the other three made $350,000! That, in itself might bug me! https://stylecaster.com/entertainment/tv-movies/1183156/sex-and-the-city-cast-salary/
  17. Some aspects of this series are so good, but my God! sometimes it can be hard to watch!!! Incredibly stupid for Noah to go to his father in law's party without his wife / family! Then as if that wasn't stupid enough, the writers expect us to believe Alison can't get a cab or a friend or family to take her to the hospital to see her dying grandmother? Nope, the only one who can do it is Noah! Then while Noah's there having an intimate chat with his FIL Bruce, the old crock feels the need to tell Noah 1. That the girl he just swore off in favor of trying to save his marriage might have been his muse... the one to open the flood gates at long last to the commercial success he covets and thirsts after. 2. That he had his own young woman muse when his daughter Helen was little who he gave up, and he then feels the need to tell Noah he's thought of the woman he gave up every day since. 3. Bruce gives Noah absolutely no encouragement to save his marriage to his own daughter!! Actually leaving him with this story and suggestion if Noah lets his muse go, he'll not only not have the impetus to write his greatest novel, he'll also have lifelong regret about not making a life with her. Who's father does this to his own daughter... he seemingly has no thought or care he could be influencing Noah thereby sabotaging their marriage and possibly leading to the break up of the family? Maddening.
  18. Yes and I find that aggravating that their collections haven't even been seen yet and it seems like everyone (the judges most importantly) has already decided who will win, Bishme. I like Bishme... he seems like a sweet person, and just as with Brittany I've never heard him speak badly about any of his competitors . That said, what if he overdoes the baseball caps and trains? What if he gets too cartooney / costumey with it? What if he doesn't do as well without Christian's guidance? What if Brittany has surprises in store? Brittany would benefit from the mentorship and the start up money, too. What if Laurance mixes it up and doesn't present all super structured leather garments, and she presents the best collection?
  19. The general consensus (and probably the judges' opinion) is that Bishme is highly favored to win and that Brittany will be first off the stage, having barely made it in to the finale. It kind of makes me wonder if there's actually any point in seeing the collections and watching the last show???????? 🤔 😡
  20. Yes! Couldn't remember who did it first... then there were several of those built out skirt things that followed trying to be "architectural". 🙄
  21. Yay! Zac Posen will be judging next week.
  22. Well good! I didn't want to call him a stylist anyway which is why I put it in quotes, it was just part of Brandon or whoever's blather when they introduced him. I thought I heard most powerful stylist in the industry? and something about Zendaya...
  23. I so hope you're right! I've watched this back now a couple of times and while men's red carpet fashions and the tuxedo in particular are crying out for some updating and some variety, and Rami had the start of an idea for that... I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing. the male celebrity who actually wears out there fashion on red carpets gushed over Brittany's. and Nina and her two little minions who wait to see which which way the wind blows before giving their opinions can stuff their "referential" comments. Over a an exaggerated bowtie? A bowtie Brittany wasn't even going to add until Christian encouraged her to do so? He even said something like if the judges say anything just tell them I told you to do the bowtie.
