  1. I think Shantal's dress won because the fit was superb and as others have pointed out it was shown on a tall slender model like figure with great legs and a great walk. IMO Luann's face and body are looking fantastic at what 55,56? I didn't love the design or think it would be great editorially and not for one second did I think oh wow... I'd love to have a dress like that. The first time I watched on a small TV at a distance I thought Kristina's bustier + pants / jumpsuit was possibly textured silk, like a shantung. I didn't see that it was metallic until I saw it up close on my laptop. I did really like the color and thought it made Dr. Wendy's shape look incredible. I would have liked the fabric to come up just one inch higher on her breasts. I loved what Kristina herself was wearing on the runway, such feminine shaping. Oh how the mighty have fallen! Remember when Aaron shot out the gate with what, three looks at the top and everyone was rooting for him? Then he was shitty and dismissive to Bones and he's been rubbing people the wrong way since. Bones' personality comes across as so sweet! I loved how he was asking Shannon tons of questions and absorbing her answers hoping to give her the absolute best look he could. I really hope he gets to show at fashion week.
  2. They have a photo of each designer with their name and a paragraph or two about them on the Bravo site. Why can't they add a photo of the look each contestant produced after the episodes air? That way at a glance you can see each designer, their name and what they showed on the runway week 1, week 2 etc all the way through to the finale. It would really help the viewers with keeping the names and who produced what straight, and for the love of God extend the time the garments are shown on the runway and keep the designer's name on screen the entire time.
  3. yep.Dallas was exactly what I was eluding to with the dream sequence mention and in different words I was stating they'd never be down with the optics of having an accused sex offender attached to the project. we're totally on the same wavelength!
  4. You said what now? lol. I don't think I'd trust that gossip site. The only way I can think of is to bring in that "dream sequence" BS and have Bi'gs death be a dream Carrie had. I don't think they'd do that because 1. the fans would never forgive making us watch multiple episodes of sad Carrie again for such a plot contrivance and 2. they care so much about being on the right/woke/virtuous side of today's issues that they don't care if they have to ruin SATC's role in TV history, the principals personas and established story lines in the process!
  5. There's a podcast for every episode with Michael Patrick King talking to some of the writers. Here's the ep 6 one. I put the ep 5 one on that thread. Writer Samantha Irving created and wrote ep 5, so now we know who to blame for the Miranda / Che tryst happening without Miranda ever letting Steve in on her feelings of dissatisfaction which the discussion of continues here.
  6. Oh look, a podcast with Michael Patrick King and some of the writers that reveals exactly who to pin the blame for this trash episode on @4:00 "episode 5 Tragically Hip crafted and written by Samantha Irving"
  7. I'm really wondering how much of Miranda's new story line, not to mention completely remade character is attributable to Cynthia Nixon's input? I wasn't able to read the last article about this reboot thing on the previous thread. Did it or any other article say as much? I would have thought this was all 100% the fault of the writers. If Kim Catrall had thought she'd have all this input on the direction they're taking her character Samantha, she might have signed on. [I know, I know I know...she's been saying she's done playing the character. I get it. Which while that may be true, could we ever expect her to say to the press..Are you f'ing kidding me, after the humiliation they put me through in that last movie? Would YOU do it?]
  8. My apologies to Johnny Nash. I literally took 3 seconds Googling before I had to run out and for some odd reason Jimmy Cliff's version came up first? I was looking for the version sung by the female vocalist and even after some nice person told my it's Grace Vanderwaal... I STILL can't find her full version to listen to. [I liked it..lol]
  9. Besides being a lawyer in New York City for decades and working with clients who no doubt represented every group one can think of ... Miranda had a whole black boyfriend! This is 100% on the shitty writers. The Miranda we know would never have been so clueless about how to conduct herself that she would've uttered the strange things she did as she entered Dr. Naya Wallace's class. Makes you wonder if the writers forgot about Dr. Robert Leeds, doesn't it? While he is just one individual, I'm sure living, socializing and working in NYC for decades they all would've been to art openings, concerts, fashion shows, b'day parties, weddings etc where they've been around mostly black people. [not that such was shown...a criticism they're bludgeoning us over the head with solutions for now]. Miranda's neighbor Kendra helped her out when she was overwhelmed with Brady when he was going through fussy crying stage.
  10. Re: misaligned cabinets: (I failed to quote again) I probably would've if I hadn't been watching on such a small TV. I did notice the dishwasher door not closing properly and though what was up with that? TBH I didn't get why they took up time with the whole something beeping bit.
  11. Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search that didn't turn up anything then had to run. I actually have spent some time in Suffern, New York. Sterling Forest to be exact. 🃏🎪👑🎻🥁📯🪔🏹🗝️🛡️⛺🕌⚔️⚜️📜🏕️ Oh wow...there's actually a sari icon 🥻
  12. This episode was better than last week's. Does anyone know who was singing I Can See Clearly Now as the credits rolled? (It switched from the Jimmy Cliffs version to a female singer) I can't even express how much I wish Charlotte and family were off doing something in some remote corner of the world where there's no internet. I HATE this Charlotte! Even when she's saying something that is so in accord with the character we've known like at the park, I can't help but think why the f' is she talking like that? Every time I see her I have her scenes from the early years of SATC playing in my head and I can't get why KD would portray a smart classy woman acting ditzier and speaking in a more exaggerated baby talking fashion as she matures?
  13. That's an interesting point of view. I think Che definately has something going on... IDK if it's all the way charisma... certainly a beautiful smile. Somehow when I look at Che and Miranda I see two people in different stages of life. I was absolutely shocked when I looked up both actor's ages and Che is only 9 years younger. No one here seems to think they'll end up in a lasting relationship and I'm not about to be the first. I'd say that Miranda went ahead and responded to Dr. Robert's interest (like most ladies would) because she perceived her chance to be with Steve was gone now that he was with someone else. Steve the bartender was doing what men do. I don't think he felt like it was any great love affair he was involved in, but we may as well kick it for a while. The difference between their situations and this new one in AJLT ep 5 is once they had their moment in the closet I don't think Miranda ever saw Robert again or Steve ever saw Debbie again [romantically]. Wheras after that day in Carrie's kitchen Steve still thought he was in a marriage with a faithful partner.
  14. I rewatched part of this last episode searching for the Carrie texting Samantha convo, which I was convinced [incorrectly] had happened in ep 3 or 4. Dammit, this shitshow was maddening! I had been scratching my head over the fact it seemed Miranda wasn't working, but I wasn't quite sure? I know she was taking Professor Naya Wallace's? class. This time over a spicy Mexican lunch I did hear her tell Che she'd quit. Miranda's work life was shown a lot in the original series and at the end of the awful movies she'd quit the big deal law firm to work at a smaller one. Now when she tells Che the story she says she felt trapped at the law firm so she finally just quit. That was the end of it. So Miranda has gone from working tons of hours to just... not. Miranda who wanted Steve so badly she professed her love for him in a closet even while Dr. Robert Leeds was just outside helping her host Brady's b'day party. Now she hates her marriage and feels trapped and it's been that way... it seems like forever? They already obliterated Charlotte's character beginning in the latter seasons of SATC; certainly it was a done deal as at the end of those awful movies. So the writers apparently thought why not go ahead and change up Miranda who has always been self assured and had a great moral compass, to someone who can't speak up about her dissatisfaction to her husband or her son. While we're at it make her unfaithful and irresponsible. Miranda was never any of those things. They could've had Miranda coming out of the other end of a separation from Steve where she's decided she wants to once again be on her own. Carrie and Miranda could be single for a while and THEN they could get her into this new relationship they're dying to depict. It would have been much more in-keeping with Miranda's character. Watching it again the sex scene between she and Che was so tainted by not only the covering of the mouth... but having it interspersed with Carrie's frustrated face not being able to get to the bathroom or aim into the bottle and getting pee all over the bed. How freakin' gross! Did anyone responsible for this mess think this would be hot? Wasn't the one scene with Charlotte helping her in the bathroom MORE than enough? I know it's all been said, but it's just maddening!
  15. sry. IDK how I could still be all thumbs with the quoting thing, but I tried to answer your question above.
  16. I'd forgotten that was this episode Carrie texted Samantha to say she mentioned her full name when telling her stuck diaphram story on the podcast [Samantha had assisted her w/ removing it] . Samantha texted ... one of my finest hours Carrie texted: hope it was ok? Samantha texted : of course I love that your vagina is getting air time Carrie texted: I miss you and that was it
  17. Yes, I'm sure prenup or no Big would have been generous with Carrie... even if they divorced. In my fantasy scenario I'd have made their marriage a short one and her compensation not be a huge sum of money, so I could do more with her character.
  18. Oh damn.☺️ I thought I snipped the part with MPK saying those were his thoughts. I did get it was him saying that, not necessarily you sharing that opinion. sry
  19. While this does sound plausible, the problem is they already gave us awful SATC movie#1 where we had to watch Carrie be sad and withdrawn after Big left her at the altar. Her friends then stopped all activities in their own lives to care for and even spoon feed Carrie. They can't think of anything else to do with Carrie other than have her sad and depressed over Big AGAIN (this time because he died)? To put us the viewing audience through once again watching her friends stop their lives to ferry poor sad Carrie through her grief, this time literally spooning her so she could sleep.... is too much! This is the scenario I would have wanted to see for Carrie. Divorced 5-10 years prior so she'd have plenty off time to get past it. Maybe even soon after she got back from the Middle East. Big was upset with Carrie over sharing dinner and a kiss with Aiden. Maybe that black diamond didn't quite smooth things over? If not that issue there was another reason I never thought a Big/Carrie marriage would work. If I had to wait through a decade and countless dalliances, relationships and one marriage with other women for a guy to decide I was the one, that thought would never be far from my mind. There's no amount of custom ordering furnishings and moving pillows around that could keep that thought at bay. Plus, the way Carrie acted around Big in awful SATC movie#2 was absolutely insufferable! I could see Big divorcing HER. I would love for there to have been a prenup and for her to have left with what she came in with, especially if it was a short marriage. Carrie could draw on her experience from when she worked at Vogue. Maybe she'd be working for such a fashion magazine? Or maybe that one for older women Samantha was distraught about getting on the mailing list of when she thought the change of life was approaching? ...but make no mistake, Carrie would be working somewhere.
  20. OK thanks. I was thinking if it didn't have some known media group attached and who's name they repeated early and often, they were probably akin to You Tube videos everyone and their brothers do really informally in their home or office minus you know... the video.
  21. I have a question about this podcast thing... If someone invites you to be on their podcast whether it's one time or on an ongoing basis, are you then in their employ? Is this usually a paid position? I must admit I was a little confused by some of the comments referring as Che as Carrie's boss and the idea that there would be an H.R. department to report inappropriate comments or deeds to. I figured Che was instructing Carrie to spice it up if she wanted to continue appearing, not that a boss was giving critique. It all seemed so informal. Is this a real job nowadays ? Perhaps I should go back to when Carrie was talking to Miranda in ep1...was it? about taking photos of people in interesting looks just for her own Instagram at first and see if she said how that lead to the podcast appearances? I just haven't really wanted to rewatch these episodes.
  22. The scene with Miranda and Che wouldn't have been so bad if not for the hand over the mouth thing. Seriously, just whispering shhh in her ear would have been fine. Or better yet, they could have experienced a spark between them in Carrie's kitchen and met up later... like people normally would.
  23. I can't make up my mind which was more disturbing that, or the scene in ep 1 where Carrie observes Big in the act of self gratification. It's that last one for me in view of recent celebrity news.
  24. You're right That's as obligatory as SJP squeezing in her scream whenever and wherever possible. Even if it's a whole other vehicle, i.e. Failure to Launch
  25. Right? Just one of many things that made that movie so awful. ...and when Aiden wistfully utters the words boy, are you not like anyone else (or very similar) That didn't ring true at all to me.
