  1. Does anyone else miss Levi's original 501 button fly jeans? Zip fly too, 505's?. The ones men and women alike bought at the army navy store. The term for it today I guess would be raw denim. They had all the flexibility and comfort of wearing linoleum before you employed your own special method of breaking in. Some people achieved the faded, worn, fit you like a glove effect by working, farming and riding in them and the accompanying frequent washings... My friends and I anxious to achieve just the right look and having high school levels of time on our hands, employed measures like soaking in a tub of hot water with lots and lots of detergent and fabric softener and even some bleach overnight... maybe a few overnights, Then wearing and washing them A LOT. Some soaked them in beach water and let them dry in the sun a few times and then washed the living daylights out of them. Oh, but once they achieved that particular soft faded blue hue and feel! Very appealing look on men and women alike. My mum hated them and as I headed off to school she'd ask why I was dressed like a farm hand? I personally hate stretch jeans and spandex in general with the fire and intensity of a thousand suns! A lot of women seem to appreciate the flexibility in both the fabric and sizing, and of course a lot of younger people might never have worn anything else. IMHO stretch jeans are very unflattering unless one is very fit and very toned. Even then, I just don't think jeans should fit like tights or leggings.
  2. I've been absent from the SATC and AJLT threads since I saw SJP in the 2018 movie Here and Now. I had to just not think about SJP for a while. A long while. I like Sarah Jessica Parker just fine and I don't hate the character Carrie Bradshaw. I've had only minor complaints over the years. I could do without her working that horror movie scream into so many projects and I thought the HBO series Divorce sucked. Aside from that, I enjoy her work and will pretty much watch anything she's in. Apparently I need to be a whole lot more discerning. Did anyone else see Here and Now? I'll put my thoughts behind a spoiler tag.
  3. I wonder what John Leguizamo is doing? πŸ₯ πŸ₯’ ba dump bump [I'm sorry] nah. He'd have had to have been 15 when Che was born. 47? That surprises me. I'd have guessed Che was more like 35. I wonder if they will make returning Aiden mega wealthy? Though it wasn't something the show (SATC) focused on the way they did with Charlotte, it sure seems Carrie was never going to make a life with another starving artist or any regular guy. Hence her interest in Petrovsky... the only other man besides Big she considered making major life changes for. Maybe I just don't recall right now, but did Carrie and Aiden get as far as the children/no children conversation?
  4. That's interesting to know. So, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Still, it seems like PR s19 got over ages ago. I was kind of expecting a new season to air if nothing like the pandemic was interfering with bringing people together for filming. I just checked and I guess the s19 finale was 2/3/22. So it's just coming up on a year. It sure seems like longer! πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ Thanks. I enjoy watching Top Chef as well.
  5. Like, really? Such artistic triumphs as Krew Season, Love Without Borders, Family Karma, Million Dollar Listing and 3 versions of Below Deck need to take precedence? They keep adding Real Housewives shows. Yet Bravo can't devote one hour a week to Project Runway?
  6. I wonder why the new season hasn't been shown on Bravo yet, if it's been all wrapped up since the 2nd week of Nov 2022?🐌 Don't they know how anxious we are for a new season?πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ
  7. Reddit post from 9/21/22 They just started filming PR s 21 https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectRunway/comments/xk7c25/they_just_started_filming_s20/ Reddit post from 2 months ago, [Google search gives the date as 11/12/22] : Project Runway season 20 finale tapes today... https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectRunway/comments/ytd4vr/project_runway_season_20_finale_tapes_today/ One of the comments states that Christian Siriano also stated filming of PR s 20 wrapped and that he posted some behind the scenes footage... I went searching for it, and found: Project Runway 2023 season 21 2023 casting call audition starts date https://www.italcoholic.in/project-runway-2023-season-20-casting-call-audition-dates/ IDK if it legitimate because when you click PR s 21 meet the cast it brings you to a list of s 19 contestants?
  8. That TMZ post from 10/11/22 is the most encouraging thing I've seen so far. Here's the quote: "The show's currently taping its 20th season, and Eric says his team is working on a memorial ... noting there are discussions about highlighting him on the show, but that's still TBD." I went looking for any news on the upcoming season because I was unsure whether to refer to it as P.R. season 20 or P.R.: All Stars what, s8? ... not wanting to put incorrect info here. I was surprised to not find anything on the series regulars' SM or Bravo's website or anywhere.
  9. Could you please point me toward any of the mentions of s20 filming and / or wrapping? I can't seem to find anything other than People's twitter with Christian Ciriano mentioning the upcoming season being an all stars one at Bravo con. Thanks!
  10. Found on Reddit, here are 14 of the previous PR contestants that will compete on PR s20 All Stars. to read comments: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectRunway/comments/ymak3p/project_runway_s20_all_stars_cast_spoileror_at/
  11. I went to Brandon Maxwell's fb, Nina Garcia's twitter, Elaine Welteroth's twitter and Christian Siriano's twitter and his website and there's no mention of P.R.. On the Bravo site it states you can watch s17. No other mentions. Very strange
  12. Hello, I recognize you from the Project Runway thread(s)! Thanks a bunch ;)
  13. Can anyone please tell me of chef Esther Choi beat Bobby Flay on S30 E25 Holiday Throwdown: Holiday Around The World?[aired on 12/13/22] I fell asleep. Thanks!
  14. This is all kinds of messed up! and weird. After reading that People's twitter post of Christian Siriano, Elaine Welteroth being present to announce at Bravo con that S20 would be an all stars version of Project Runway to air in 2022... ...it made me wonder if they would have said anything, if they hadn't expected someone in the huge Bravo con crowd to ask about it???? a quote from the post; "We found designers from season 1," said Siriano, adding that audiences will also see the return of contestants from season 3 and 4. "We even have a designer from my season, which will be really interesting because I'm the boss." Following that twitter post there are exactly 2 replies; one from someone who thought this would be the year she applied and the other a totally unrelated post of a YT video to raise awareness of PTSD. Really. 2 replies? Does that even seem believable that no one asked there WHEN S20 would air? No one expressed being excited for the series' return? No opinions on it being al all star season? No posters curious about WHICH contestants would be featured? No one opining about whether Tim Gun and / or Heidi Klum's return would make it more special? I fear something is afoot, and I personally will be shocked if we're watching S20 ep1 in the next 18 days. What do you other series' fans think?
  15. Believe me, I'm not saying this in a know it all way... because I just learned this in an Anne Rice quote I ran across the other day... [Prior to this my knowledge came from owning Interview With The Vampire which I read long ago and The Vampire Lestat which I only read a little of and having viewed the movie Queen Of The Dammed... so I knew for sure he was featured in at least 3 books.] Here it is behind a spoiler tag in case anyone doesn't want to know how many books feature Lestat:
  16. I don't know exactly what would have been more exciting and mysterious to have happen to Lestat, as we clearly know he isn't a one season only character... being the main and all. Lestat seems to posses abilities he doesn't care to explain or divulge to even Louis, his chosen mate. The stilling of time and motion in ep 1, was it? the cloud lifting, making the complaining movie audience member slap himself repeatedly etc.. IDK if one of those abilities could have stopped him from being put into the incinerator? or even if he could pull them off in his weakened state? When Louis answers Daniel 's question is it possible for an immortal to meet mortality? with starvation, drinking the blood of the dead, fire and decapitation he uses the words "he confided that to me one blood drunken night in Baton Rouge" indicating reluctance on Lestat's part. Then in a scene that follows closely Louis' narration states Lestat was "in posession of ancient powers that had been passed on to his progeny only in a diminished form". So it's just my opinion... but to listen to Louis enumerate the ways an immortal could meet mortality: starvation, drinking the blood of the dead, fire and decapitation and then stop just short of decapitating Lestat with sword in hand and stop short of incinerating him when Claudia says we need to burn him again and again just seemed rather lackluster to me. Daniel the writer even chides him over his sloppiness. The way the story has played out with Louis needing a while for his badly broken body to recover from having been dropped from a great height by Lestat and his rather muted and guarded way of being since didn't suggest it was lingering feelings of love that caused him to stop short. Not to me, anyway. YMMV... .of course.
  17. OK. looks like I'll have to go against the grain. I too was enjoying the episode until Louis cut Lestat's throat, but failed to decapitate him despite holding an ideal weapons for doing so. Why, on earth? Then he argues Claudia down about being sure by putting Lestat's body in the incinerator. Again, why? Knowing there's a book called The Vampire Lestat left little doubt we were not witnessing Lestat's final moments... then the last scene clinched it. IDK, it all felt rather anticlimactic to me. Between this and a certain new HBO series with dragons having a if not the major plot line turn on a Three's Company level misunderstanding, I'm losing respect for TV writers.
  18. Yes, that's what I was referencing when I wrote he told Louis something to the contrary early on. I'm suggesting if Lestat had unusual abilities (for a vampire) he'd keep it to himself to best serve his own ends. I could be wrong, but I wonder.
  19. Yes, I remember in ep 2 when Lestat told Louis (after making him vampire) there is a sacrifice when the dark gift is shared. He'd just asked Lestat can't you tell what I'm thinking? Still, I wonder. IDK... I didn't really believe Lestat was that enraged because Claudia figured out how to beat Lestat at one game of chess out of hundreds.
  20. I feel the same way. For me the series has gotten a lot more compelling since watching eps 5+6, especially Sam Reid's performances. Bailey Bass is surprisingly good, too. Well, all 3 of the principals, really... but the portrayal of Lestat requires the most range. The only choice I still don't love is the casting of Eric Bugosian as Daniel Malloy the reporter. The sarcasm and the fatalist remarks to do with his illness and old age have quickly become wearing, to me at least. IDK why Louis and Claudia believe they can communicate telepathically or read each others thoughts and not have them be known to Lestat? I remember his telling Louis something to the contrary early on, but clearly he'll use every advantage he can including subterfuge. He didn't disclose he had the cloud gift (flight) until he actually did it. He revealed to Claudia when he puts his mind to it he can hear the thoughts of other vampires at a very great distance... so his housemates probably pose little challenge. Yet he only told her of this ability when he wanted to sadistically taunt her about what Bruce did to her. We'll see, I guess.
  21. I hope we get season 20 AND an all star edition, and SOON! πŸ§·πŸ§΅πŸ§Άβœ‚οΈ
  22. So that means we have Project Runway All Stars and Project Runway season 20 to look forward to? Or is the 20th season to be an all stars one? ...to commemorate the 20th season, maybe? If both versions are to air, I wonder which will come first?
  23. When's the show coming back? πŸ™†β€β™€οΈ πŸ“Ί πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» πŸͺ‘ 🧡 βœ‚οΈ 🧢 πŸ‘— πŸ₯» πŸ‘š πŸ‘– πŸ‘”
  24. Not an argument or anything, but I can tell you why I still view Helen as basically a good and decent person. I don't overlook the fact that Noah went to jail for a crime Helen committed while driving. I don't find her solely responsible though, for these reasons: 1. Helen told Noah she was too drunk to drive, but he insisted. 2. Being that Noah insisted Helen drive even though she'd been drinking, why did he pick that moment to touch her arm affectionately? The two had been separated, he was with Alison and touching her in that way was a complete upset of the circumstances. Of course she glanced his way and that's when the crash happened. 3. Then, there was Alison's contribution. Pushing a drunk, menacing Scotty into the road. 4. Scotty himself was partly the cause of his own death. He never would've been in that dark road if he hadn't been hassling Alison to the point she had to push him away. The show suggested those two married people had conversations we weren't privy to wherein Noah and Helen decided she should remain in the family home caring for their children and use her / their considerable means to mount the best defense possible for Noah. We all know what they both should have done...NEVER GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A CAR DRUNK and call a taxi.
  25. I didn't see this coming, either. Same for me, I'll watch anything Maura Tierny does. ... but man this was a depressing slow-moving mess.
