Charlotte has been toned down a bit from s1 but she is still nearly unrecognizable from the character she portrayed in early SATC episodes, and I'm not even referring to procedures she may have had. The slow exaggerated way of speaking, the baby talk, the wide eyes as if incredulous every single time she delivers a line. 🤢 It's absolutely sickening.

Alright. You're right. I just rewatched the end scene. I was thinking about how when he asked her to the rooftop thing she then called Che to ask what Franklyn was like, and then had to run it by Anthony. You were asked out for a drink, Carrie. Get a grip. Seems very unrealistic. but then I forgot how badly this thing is written.

So in the previous episode Franklyn invites Carrie to a a rooftop thing on Tuesday where his buddy is previewing a new bourbon and she feels compelled to dump him because she thinks he wants to.... like get married or something? Even after she cancelled and told him she was only ready for Thursdays and he said ok. Isn't that a bit hasty? She described their new thing as great when talking to Charlotte and when with Anthony and Charlotte at lunch she said he's a very nice man. On the verge of 60 in NYC in today's sucky world are handsome pleasant easy going men so plentiful Carrie can just discard one she's enjoying spending Thursdays with? 🤔

I know what you mean. I wanted Carrie to be with Big because he's the one she always wanted. He was her person. However I always thought it wouldn't have worked given their history. I hope they don't get Carrie back with Aiden again. Let them be friends. They've taken two shots at it; lets see Carrie with someone new when she's ready. I didn't find him particularly controlling for not wanting to date a smoker and not wanting her to continue to see an ex who she cheated on him with, I just think they didn't have much chemistry. Plus I didn't like how he came across in their last encounter in shitty movie #2. Showing photos of his children catching up on how they've both married and then making a move on Carrie made him come across kind of sleazy in a way I never got from the character in the series.

I used to spend a fortune on getting my highlights done just so on my long hair... finding and hanging on to the right colorist who'd give you what you wanted was a nightmare! and I used to use self tanners when they first became widely available and on into the 90's and 00's, but that was a huge time consuming production so I stopped. Granted I haven't tried them lately and maybe they're giving you a more natural color nowadays, IDK, but Carrie always looks like she has a natural suntan.🫢

Apropos of nothing, how come Carrie Bradshaw AND Sarah Jessica Parker are inveterate New Yorkers, yet she stays looking like someone who spends a lot of time at the beach? I know for a few thou one can get the highlights, but how come she's suntanned year round?

100 likes for this! ^ Oh how I wished a supernatural being like a Genii would appear right in the middle of Lily's tween lament about "the power of privilege" and switch her place with a lovely little girl from a family that's barely making it economically... one who might be grateful for all she has. 😡 The actress seems like a pretty sweet little girl. Once again I blame the writers. Hopefully halfway decent people in the real world who live the way Harry and Charlotte do teach their children that a great thing to do with your creativity and free time would be to get off yourself and maybe think about how to help others.

So true. Plus they seem to have lost the ability to write any kind of vaguely realistic dialogue between friends now that the ladies are 50ish and rich.

Sometimes I think the unconventional materials challenge should just be for fun, and that there should be no elimination. I think Laurence said something early in the episode like I don't usually make clothes out of plastic... and that's pretty much true, designers work with fabric. I didn't like Victor's look, either! and Anna? she apparently took the same gray fabric Christian criticized (from floor pianos?) and sewed pleated strips and stuck them all over the gray dress she'd made? That was f' ugly! I was sorry to see Mila go and agree with this: Prajje and Korto did great work as did Brittany... though hers didn't exactly represent an original look. Even though Kayne had a wild theme and he totally committed to it... which is admirable; please God may I never see shiny black and white chevron with either pink or red ever again! Must have been a smooth half dozen of those dresses in just the seasons I've seen! Fabio's and Bishme's were disappointing to me. Didn't expect much from Hester. The 3 of them could have been in the bottom, too. It's not even surprising Rami's wasn't great. The man makes magic happen with fabric.

Not only did Nora show up without her sewing skills being on point... but then she goes and changes to embellishing the new dress with petals. PETALS! All I could think of was PR winner of s5 Leanne Marshall's final collection with all the petals. So beautiful, and so meticulously sewn.

Bishme's garment was more visually appealing than that shades of pink mess he made originally...I guess? but would I want to wear it? No. Never. Sorry Bishme. ...and while I can appreciate Kayne's transformation from coat to skirt as it made for a great runway moment, IDK? I didn't love it quite as much as everyone else did. It didn't really work as a coat IMO and I couldn't see myself wanting to wear the skirt, beautiful as it was. He's definately very talented though. I understand them giving him the win. I didn't even mind his original look. I loved the unusual quality of Fabio's look and Mila's just as much, maybe more. With time to take a second look Rami's was the other one I really liked. Those are the ones I'd want to wear if I had the tall willowy figure and the budget for designer clothes. I agree with a lot of your takes. Would've liked to see more of Nora as I couldn't even find photos of what she made in season 1. If only her sewing had been better. Victor can go to some whacky costume design competition! Just when we thought it couldn't possibly get more gimicky than stilts! The taste level. 🫣 :clutches pearls: While I like Christian, I'll always miss Tim Gun. Wouldn't miss Elaine or Brandon though. Even though Fabio's look really appealed to me, I have to admit when Mimi walked in it I wondered if the aspect of my TV was off. Mimi almost always appears so tall and slinky in the clothes, but not tonight.

I loved Fabio's (I think it was...the one with the striped sleeveless tunic thing?) and Mila's looks! Wish we could have longer looks at the safe one's and a few judges remarks on them. i say the same thing every season, but really they could fit it in in an hour and a half.
