  1. Thanks for posting those articles! I like that we will About time! I liked this part of the miscarriage interview, about Gemma's actress on displaying vulnerability on screen:
  2. I like that the show tried to normalize men wearing make-up. It's a needed attitude adjustment for a lot of demographics.
  3. I just watched ep 3 & 4 back to back, and I'm glad I did. The ending of episode 3 was a proper cliffhanger, it would have been hard to wait a week to see how they follow that! It was really cool to see how Abigail managed to trick the test by drinking a lot of water. I was happy when they shut down the conversion camp.
  4. I have been wanting to watch the UK version for a while now, but sadly I can't access season 1 so I didn't do it. This series is promising so far, the ghosts are likeable, particularly the victorian woman and the barbar. I am curious where will they take the story.
  5. I didn't read it like that. When Abishola suggested that they get a TV for the living room, that wasn't because she herself wants to watch TV. It's because thanks to Dottie's dud comments, she realized that Bob would prefer the room to be different. So she compromised immediately. She does try to pay attention to Bob's needs and meet them imo. When he suggested that they sleep in separate beds, she agreed with that too and was understanding about it.
  6. The writing in this episode has been really sharp. I loved the obviously fake play-acting Grover and Malcolm had to do for the mayor and it was so funny when Grover kept fake crying and it actually worked 🤣 . The "as white as the cast of friends" line was funny as well. I was not bothered by the scene where Tina explained why what the woman was doing was cultural appropriation, I thought it was a concise and well-articulated explanation.
  7. Best episode of the season yet. I loved the talk Bob and Abishola had towards the end, where he told her that the setup of the room was fine as long as it felt like home. He is so sweet. The little moment where Christina wasn't able to get everyone's attention was nice as well.
  8. Pat has less of a presence in the later episodes, except in episode 10 she comes back then.
  9. I hope we never see Abishola's mom again. What a mean spirited, pathetic, insecure piece of trash.
  10. S2E9: Well color me surprised, Alessia Cara did finally appear on the show. Shocking. Cary's plotline was kinda absurd I never heard the word "hole" mentioned so many times in 1 day. S2E10: I was happy to see Curtis getting the hosting gig, good for him finally moving up a bit. And hey, did you all see the date at the very end? Cary's life is supposed to change on March 13, 2020. COVID will shut down filming and he is back to square one.
  11. This wasn't funny. Weak season opener but I understand they just needed to get this plot out of the way. Hopefully next week's episode is better.
  12. Hahaha. I really liked the "let's see what we are working with. Nothing, absolutely nothing!" line. It was just so expressive and unexpected.
  13. The courtroom scene (about the child support case) was amazing I liked how Abigail argued her case.
  14. I am confused. On IMDB it says the entire second season was filmed already, but it just started airing now? How does that work? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11873484/
  15. Gina is pop perfection. If you get it, you get. If you don't, you don't.
  16. Best moment of the finale was when Charles found out Jake was leaving and questioned him with teary eyes. It had the most emotional impact imo.
  17. S2E7: I am not sure where they were going with Brooke's storyline or what it was satirizing, but it was entertaining to listen to those female rights experts analyze everyday thing like a woman calling out another woman in front of people. I greatly enjoyed the melodramatic entrance of Cary's "wife" at the hospital, that scene was so cool 😆. And the applause at the end? It put the cherry on top. S2E8: There were early signs that Chase is starting to get sick of being told what to do and being kept from singing. And working so hard will take a toll on Pat, just as many of you here pointed out. I guess the show is gearing up to a season finale where the sources of fame, aka Pat and Chase fall apart, but in that case I really want the show to be renewed as ending it that way would leave a lot to the imagination.
  18. S2E5: The writing of this episode was so clever. First of all, that opening scene was awesome with that fake-out. The Noah Centineo reference made me die 🤣. And the Jesus fucking slays song? And all of this only 3 minutes into the episode. Amazing. I have to say, Cary's entitlement when it comes to his acting career is a little annoying. Chase's strong stance about leaving when he found out the Church's stance on the social issues was adorable. S2E6: I was happy for Brooke making the list. So cute. And it's funny how she continues to be so interested in Alessia Cara when she is a Z-list celebrity at best and a total flop within the music world. Like, Alessia is so not the musician she should be chasing but that is the joke. Cary's stroyline was more annoying than entertaining but I guess they wanted to demonstrate the struggle / the grind actors have to go through. It was really funny in the end when it turned out the manager didn't even read what he sent 😁
  19. Random, but the same thing happened to me yesterday! Satan works hard, but HBO's promo department works harder! I watched a couple of episodes yesterday and it is so good I see myself being all caught up in the next couple of days.
  20. Haha, that looks like a really fun concept for an episode.
  21. Damn. Charles's line about twice-removed Boyles being total clown shows was so savage, with cousin Andrea just standing there and knowing what he is. Best moment of this week's episodes for me.
  22. Terry Crews talked about B99 on the James Corden show. He said he would love it if the show was eventually rebooted or they got the opportunity to shoot a movie. Around 7:35
  23. I feel like the show was trying to tell us something when Summer confronted her husband about taking care of crabs: Does anyone know what they were implying / referring to here?
  24. Not sure how I feel about Jake constantly breaking the law and helping his criminal friend during a season about reckless uses of power. Especially with him straight up helping him to escape prison.
