  1. Doesn't the bride's family pay for the wedding? Why does Calvin even have to deal with all this? And I agree with @HurricaneVal, Tina's dress really wasn't all that.
  2. I loved it. What a powerful story.
  3. I found the camerawork so interesting in the scene where Nigel and Isaac get back together, they showed Nigel from unusual angles, and he was also different during his shouting scene, as others mentioned. It was like seeing him in a brand new light.
  4. She does have a daughter, but she is unsatisfied with her because she is a musician in a band.
  5. It is interesting that they are framing Janine as the problematic one in her relationship with her sister, I wonder what that is all about
  6. It makes sense to me. Yeah they are overbearing, strict parents but at the cost of their relationship with their children. Those who do not fall for the traditional notion of "respect your elders" cut ties with their parents and they don't have much of a relationship with their kids once they are not financially dependent on them. This was touched on by the show many times, Kemi previously mentioned that her son doesn't speak to her but at least he is successful, and Bob often tries to get Abishola to be a nicer mom to Dele so he doesn't despise the time he spends in the US instead of Nigeria and they remain on good terms. Funmbi is independent of Kemi and clearly he doesn't want much to do with her so the relationship they do have will be on his terms.
  7. Abishola being there at just the right moment to snap at Funmbi was so cool 😆. I really like the way they are building Kemi and Chukwuemeka's relationship. I wish there were more episodes focused on them.
  8. I liked Dave in this episode. The part where Calvin said "it's not even lit" and Dave went "But it's about to be!" was so funny and well-timed. About Marty-Necie....the show spent NO time laying the groundwork for their relationship and we barely saw them properly bonding as a couple, so I can't feel sad about them breaking up. Even without the kids stuff, they never made sense as a couple.
  9. Best part was when Hetty & Isaac announced that they have supported Sassapis and now they are going to watch TV 😆. Too relatable.
  10. My favorite moment was when Hetty said "She will have the worst prom ever" and then the rest of the ghosts produced this evil laugh in the Prom episode. Iconic.
  11. Honestly, the show has not been all that great in years. I welcome some fresh blood in the team who might be able to breathe new life into the show because it is desperately needed.
  12. I've been watching this show since day 1 and loved it so much but at this point I won't even be mad if it's cancelled after this season. STOP FOCUSING ON GOODWIN HE SUCKS! STOP THIS STUPID FACTORY STORYLINE IT'S TEDIOUS & UNINTERESTING! Ebun never needed to appear in more than 2-3 episodes!!! So many horrible decisions. Meanwhile actual fun characters like Kemi, Tunde and Olu are more and more sidelined each episode.
  13. I liked Calvin in this episode, it was nice to see how he really got into the game and used every opportunity to practice. Also, Marty being upset at Malcolm not respecting his process was quite funny 😄
  14. The first 2 episodes of the new version are out. I gave it a chance, but it was a bad choice. The jokes are extremely poorly written. The cast is not particularly likeable. It did not even make me smile once and it's more annoying than entertaining to watch.
  15. The one thing that stood out to me in this episode is that the cake Christina was eating in the office did not look like a Cheese cake one bit. Why did they call it that?
  16. I loved Tina's pitch and the brothers commentary of it. It was well-done. The plot of ruining the grill so it looks used was very stupid, but they payoff in the end was great so it was worth it.
  17. Haha, that is fitting. Thanks! 😇
  18. Well, that was definitely a well-made trailer. I wish they did things like this for more of their shows. Does anybody know what is the song they used? It's catchy.
  19. They released another Christmas episode! This one is very heartwarming and cute, made my heart flutter in a couple of scenes, particularly with Pete. And now it's confirmed that people still need to go to the bathroom in the afterlife. Fascinating. Also, I am obsessed with Thomas's pronouncation of "vision". Amazing🤩 Finally, is it just me, or was Captain an exceptionally good stage hand?
  20. It's close to her house and they get the food for free most of the time.
  21. While I appreciate that the show is trying to bring Emily and Gabrielle together, I felt that Alfie's exit scene needed to be way more emotional than that. He was done so quickly! Other than that, great season, amazing show. I am so sad next season is the last 😪.
  22. It seems they are building towards something with Julien continually feeling sidelined at his job. By the way, it is interesting how little they are using him this season, while Luc gets a lot more screen time and way more lines. Maybe the actor is on better terms with the writers / production team or something. It's a shame a little, I like Julien and would be happy to see more of him. His outfits are always interesting.
  23. Well it's the same for Sylvie's new company. Just because Savoir stopped operations, that doesn't mean Sylvie is allowed to work with the old clients. The non-compete contract is still in effect. But the show conveniently ignores this. I guess maybe I could buy that Savoir simply chooses not to pursue their rights in the matter, maybe.
  24. I am surprised the series brought up the work visa subject, because that's real and something a person would absolutely have to deal with so I am happy it is included in here. I liked the callback to the French not doing business at parties and how the guy didn't appreciate Emily attempting that again. The shallow performance was lovely, I was surprised when Mindy actually nailed the sustained wailing note. It's not easy to do it but she sounded just like Gaga.
