oh my word! the rain is comin' down and it is really comin'. it was predicted to bypass us till last night and then they changed the weather report. wow!!! needless to say, i love it. but for those in the burn areas, its not gonna be pretty.

regarding the word 'conviction' used by dereck. as a christian, we use it to mean 'the personal understanding that we are sinful by nature'. i can see where the convict part of it would be confusing. scripturally, i think it just means recognizing that we have sin in our lives.

i just found this forum and now i am here to join you. i DO like ben and erin -- they seem cute to me. as for her having a baby, i just learned that via the christmas special. i m so excited for them.

i dont follow jill r. so i hope ya'll keep posting updates. regardless, it is heartbreaking to hear about their baby. i hope they realize that their life is about to dramatically change in ways they cannot imagine and i also hope that they will do what is necessary to provide a comfortable existence for this baby girl.

interesting observation -- i have long wondered about that. i had a student that had marfans and he could not really participate in sports due to the limitations on his heart from the marfans. i wonder if that would explain the sickness derrick gets when he runs?

and again, i sit here in shorts with a fan blowing on me! as much as i want to live elsewhere, i guess southern cali has its advantages. did you all watch the parade today? that last float (i think last) of the mission inn resort was made local to me. been to that place -- its amazing. as for christmas decor, took the tree down on dec 27 and still have outside lights hanging. they will be removed when my son, who is currently on babywatch at his house, has time to help out.
