heartbreak! as a person of faith, i believe in heaven and believe confidently that i will see my mom etc again. but i get what you are saying about concrete proof.

emma. where in texas? i drive out there a few times a year to see my kids. they are south of dallas about a hour.....

i live in southern cali, outside of palm springs (using a well known location to orient you). the wild donkeys live in the canyons by my home and are federally protected. they do eat yards and plants but they are so darn cute to watch. i will try to load a few pictures of them. i had one follow me up my driveway once.....they ARE wild so no touchee.

if it is anything like the churches around here, it is a college age Bible study group, much like sunday school but in the evening and limited to that general age group. the freshman comment is becuase high schoolers have a different group to attend, and once you graduate, then you are considered a eligible to attend as a college freshman, for the first time. they are probably acting as leaders and this particular event is the kickoff for the year.

what does an oral appliance mean,....like a bite guard or something. currently our insurance is on hold so i cannot really do anything till that is straightened out. i was not sent to an eye dr at all nor was it even suggested. i just went to a sleep clinic within our insurance group, was not assigned to any special doctor at all. my primary referred me in the first place, on my suggestion. i would sure like to follow up with some solid info when i do get to see a doctor again.

oh emma, that is truly sad and a real loss for you. i pray for a gentle peace for your heart. i am so sorry. bigskygirl, i wear a c-pap mask as well but do not sleep on my belly (its a little too round for sleeping). how long have you used a mask? is this something i should make an adjustment for so my eyes dont 'stretch' ?

hi friends, its been a rough week around the zoo. i was first on scene at a hit and run involving a pedestrian that did not make it. gruesome would not be a big enough word. i have a mental video cycling in my brain of what i saw. then, 6 days later, we had a brush fire that literally ran up to fences of the houses directly across the street from us. we were ordered to evacuate. it was scary as heck. the houses on the northern end of our street and neighborhood were bathed in fos-check, the orange spray-foam that the planes drop on fires. what a freakin mess. however, no houses lost, no lives lost and a GREAT effort by the fire folks to save us and clean up afterwards. we had a large family of wild donkeys resting on our street yesterday, possibly stressed from the fire. oh and then, also yesterday - i nearly started a fire in my microwave! my house smells worse from that than the brush fire!!! needless to say, i am worthless lately.

i may not understand why Jazz can't be in sync with what she sees in the mirror, but it's not my business to tell her what to do. I just hope she gets excellent counseling before permanent physical surgery. ...me too but not likely....

i dont know how to say well this but i will try. i AM a Christian. i do understand 'hate the sin, love the sinner' . i understand what derrick was trying to say in his tweet or whatever it was. BUT i think he was a jerk to have said it to a child and to have been disrespectful to said child. he and the rest of the duggers are shining a bad light on those of us that do believe in God and live our lives according to our faith. you wont find me out there talking bad about people for the choices that people make in how they live their lives. i may not agree with their choices or lifestyles, but i am not their judge. i may have certain opinions about how people choose to live, but it is not my place to be unkind and hurtful. after all, i am obese (and old - not a good combo). i dont need derrick to point that out to me and tell me what a loser human i am. that will happen soon enough for each of us, when we are facing judgement for how WE lived OUR lives.

i was thinking that with the bachelor/bachelorette party over, the wedding is sooner than later....

i hope brooklyn is ok too. to be honest, i spent literal MONTHS in the hospital with both my daughter and my grandson when they were each born. those are long, arduous and sometimes boring hours sitting there while the baby sleeps etc. i can see taking time to read or, in her case, study scripture.
