  1. OMG. I would...... I don't know what I would do. Besides die a little (or a lot) inside. Holy cow. I don't even want to think about it.
  2. I haven't done a full series rewatch yet so I don't remember if they said it outright or if it was just heavily implied, but Hopper and Joyce both would have gotten a large sum of hush money. Hopper because El was legally now his daughter, and Joyce because they faked Will's death in S1.
  3. It wasn't his personal savings. It was hush money from the government because of the nefarious stuff they had involved El in.
  4. Random scene making me laugh today -- Lorelai and Rory sitting in Luke's playing 1-2-3 He's Yours. The way Rory perks up and says "Daddy!" when they see Kirk walking toward the diner just kills me every time. And Luke playing along is hilarious.
  5. For real. Totally uncalled for. I do have to say, though, I wondered about the wisdom of El sharing that there was a security tripwire around the cabin. That's the kind of thing to make people ask questions, you know? Makes it sound like they were living in a militia compound where the wrong people come sniffing around and go missing LOL.
  6. My money is on Michel telling her. She probably called the Inn for something and Michel mentioned it. And then when she saw how silly Lorelai was being about it she made it into a big mystery just to bug her LOL.
  7. Not to mention, several of the following scenes would have to be taken out or changed as well or their storylines make no sense. Jonathan developing the pics and his classmate seeing them, Steve finding out and breaking his camera, Steve changing the theater sign, etc. It would be silly to make all those changes. Just find a fainting couch, get some damn smelling salts, and get over it.
  8. I want to know this too! I adore your profile pic, btw. Baby Groot is the best thing ever.
  9. Younger people use 'okay Boomer' to describe anything that sounds old to them LOL. My kids call me Boomer all the time and I'm 48.
  10. Geez. Definitely glad they made the changes they did for the show, then.
  11. Oh G-d, I had forgotten about that one! And then when it flashes to the TV as he's turning it off, that's really what it is despite it sounding quite......otherwise. 😂
  12. Yeah, the costume designer for the show specifically said they were going for Molly Ringwald with her character.
  13. Yep. If she was truly behind in any individual subjects, she should have been in remedial classes for those subjects, but her overall grade would be more in line with her age rather than level of learning. Kids are sometimes held back a year but usually not more than that, so you don't have 18 year olds in ninth grade or whatever.
  14. The actual X-File was dumb (A talking doll?! That's never been done before! LOL) but the Mulder/Scully interaction is golden. Him carefully describing how to look for a pull string on the back of the doll has me rolling every time.
  15. I thought he looked way better pudgy, LOL. His face is too thin now. It gives him a Cro Magnon Man look.
  16. Damn it, Ben. I was hoping my fears about him were unfounded. 😥 I believe him as to "why" he went along with it, and I do have to give him credit for truly helping Reece instead of sabotaging his efforts in order to keep his part in it hidden and for standing there and taking it like a man at the end, but damn it. Reece deserved better. My little Everwood loving heart skipped a happy beat when I saw Tom Amandes playing Reece's FIL. ❤️ And I swear Shut Up Carl was one of the military guys helping the FBI track Reece over the mountain but I never saw his name in the credits so I could be mistaken. I thought there was going to end up being more to the bird hitting the window scene, and to Reece's memories being rewritten because of the drugs, but okay. At least I didn't have to throw things and swear off ever rewatching the show like I did at the end of LOST and The 100. Heh. All in all, solid show and hubby and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I hope there's more humor in the upcoming seasons (assuming there is more to come) but humor would have been inappropriate in a season which takes place within a few days/weeks of a man's wife and young child being murdered in cold blood, so I was okay with it.
  17. Finn is there for comedy relief. Colin is the asshole.
  18. It was sweet. And Suzanne immediately inspecting Charlene's engagement ring was hilarious LOL. I don't know if it's because I was a teenager when I first watched DW, but I thought Bill was really good looking and super sweet. I was surprised when I first saw the comments here that he's boring and bland LOL.
  19. Nah, I don't think so. Rich, entitled white kids are not exactly in short supply in the circles the Gilmores run in LOL. Having said that, the guy that Rory went out with one time at the end of her Freshmen year at Yale (Graham, I think?) was supposed to "be" Logan for the next year but it didn't work out with the actor for some reason, as I recall. Since I actually grew to like Logan once I realized he and Colin were not the same person (I will always hate Colin) I didn't mind the change.
  20. "You don't think she's a virgin, do you?" "I doubt she's even a blonde." Heeeeeeee.
  21. I have a soft spot for TFWID, because cults and cult leaders fascinate me. I don't even mind the regression scenes that much, mostly because I find it interesting that Scully is always in a position of authority over Mulder in their past lives. The soulmate business, however, is a bunch of hot garbage and I'm not sure what CC was smoking when he dreamed that one up.
  22. I always get it, Schizogeny, and Synchrony mixed up because they're all S words and (in my mind) the titles have nothing to do with the episode to keep them straight LOL.
  23. Is that the one with the plastic surgeons who were being possessed or something while they were doing surgery?
